Hello!

Yes I'm calm now!! and Rachel is fine and sleeping.

Rachel can roll and roll - but can't sit for long without flopping! They all do things at their own speeds.

PiccadillyCircus · 01/04/2006 22:45

Alice has no inclination to roll.

And she can sit for a most a minute before either slouching, plunging forward, backward and just disappearing.

She is very good at grabbing things though Smile.

Simplyred · 02/04/2006 19:36

Nikkinoo · 03/04/2006 07:37

PiccadillyCircus · 03/04/2006 15:41

Hello all Smile.

DH's sister is here for a few days as it is the Easter hollidays (she's 15). Nice having another pair of hands.

I am trying to sort out old clothes of DS/Alice and decide what is (a) wearable by Alice in the future (b) ebayable (c) completely worn out Grin.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 03/04/2006 16:42

Yes Nikkinoo - little girl 9lb 8oz Shock but she looks so weeny! A real little dumpling, very serene baby, they've called her Jian Mair (pronounced Jen Maya)

I'm so broody it's not fair

paediatrician rang last night to say one of C's blood cultures grew a bacteria called staphylococcus aureus - the toxic shock syndrome bug Shock As C is sooo much better i'm hoping this was a contaminated sample.

At last feeling normal again myself bar a nagging headache - Noops nutella and banana sandwich doing a good job of getting rid of this though Wink Might just have to have another Grin

milward · 03/04/2006 20:16

dh is looking after ds4 tonight for the first time as I've done every night since he was born - my first nights sleep since preg!! At 5.30am I told dh I just could cope any more & now I hope to have a rest.

pooka · 03/04/2006 20:30

Enjoy the extra rest Milward. I stopped feeding Tom at night about 2 weeks agoish and since then dh has settled him. Yes I still wake up, but am beginning to wake and then drift back off very quickly. I've taken over dd so if she wakes I get up for her. She's had nightmares for a while so maybe every other night I've got up, but just ended up snuggling up with her and it's lovely and cosy.
And Tom slept from 7.30pm till 5.45am yesterday - record beating sleep. and then had a nap from 2pm til 4.30pm today! Bliss.

Nikkinoo · 03/04/2006 21:20

milward · 04/04/2006 09:17

Hope c is ok wabbit.

Thanks for the kind words on getting some rest. I slept 6 hrs in one stretch last night & it was wonderful. Had trouble getting to sleep as missed ds4 next to me.

Off to the docs for thyroid tests......

PiccadillyCircus · 04/04/2006 15:04

Afternoon everyone.

I am half way through cleaning the bathroom so suppose i should get back to it.

Sleep - what's that? Smile. Woke up to find myself in Alice's room - don't even remember going there. When DH is feeling better, he cn join in with setlling her (although of course I did while I was ill).

wabbitintheheadlamps · 04/04/2006 18:53

Hello everyone

Thanks for congratulations over my being an Auntie again - sis is doing very well considering she had to take the C section option in the end Smile

C's much better and the last two days we've ventured out for walks... cold but sunny here and I need the clear fresh air - I'm looking so tired at the moment.

I've lost another 2lb so I'm 10st 1lb now Smile as I say, not dieting but trying to make sure I get the 5 a day - happy I'm going in the right direction.

Here's to more sleep for everyone - love to all xxx

milward · 05/04/2006 09:02

hello all xxx

happy to hear c is getting better wabbit

here I had nearly 7 hrs sleep last night!!! still find it hard to get to sleep but once asleep have to be woken up!! dh is looking after ds4 in the night & he's really grumpy. So far he's done 2 nights & ds4 is doing ok in his cot. But is just getting to me - I've done everynight for last six months until monday & after only 2 nights dh is just so unhappy.

Yesterday I felt just fine - so well rested & full of energy. I even did some exercise & will keep this up as I've become so unfit & flabby!!

At the docs was 68 kilos!!! - had put on 4 kilos. I think it's the lack of sleep thats done it but couldn't believe it!! The doc thinks its the thyroid problem - will get results at end of this week. Anyhow refuse to get upset about being bigger & got some new trousers in a larger size.

PiccadillyCircus · 05/04/2006 10:23

Glad to ear you are getting more sleep milward - can you get your DH to tell mine how lovely it is to look after a small person during the night?

Wabbit, glad that C is feeling better.

Alice can now sit up on her own for about 5 or 10 minutes. She looks very funny somehow Smile.

milward · 05/04/2006 13:49

pc - wish I could but he's so grumpy with just 2 nights & ds4 even slept!! - wonder how he'll cope when ds4 wakes up at11.30, 1.30, 3.30 until 5.30 &then has to get up for the day - just as I've had to do with getting my kids to school. I'm now not going to do everything as before & can"t believe how worn out & miserable I was!

well done to Alice !!!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 05/04/2006 13:55

More sleep must feel wonderful Milward and well done you for not getting low over your weight gain, it sounds as though your doctor is probably right, especially if you suspect your thyroxine levels are wrong. Best wishes xxx

PC - Alice must look so independent sat on her own, C can't sit alone yet, his long narrow body is a bit out of control and he lurches around and takes a dive - I can see he's trying though. His latest thing is to stand on the seat of a chair holding on to the back. (with me hovering in anticipation of his letting go!)

Lovely day here - but boring housework to do before I feel justified in enjoying the outside world.

xx

PiccadillyCircus · 05/04/2006 14:22

I am continuing to sort out clothes - have amassed (sp?) 5 bin bags for ebay so far. If they all sell it will be great Smile.

pooka · 05/04/2006 14:41

Glad you're getting more sleep milward. It's only fair that, particularly now nighttime feeds pretty much a thing of the past, your dh does his bit too.
[whisper] Tom has slept from 7.30pm until 6am for the last 3 nights! Am loath to rely on it, though....
Tom is sitting without support now and can get on hands and knees and rocks. Has managed to crawl backwards but eats carpet if he tries to go forwards! Seems to be oing physical things about 4 weeks earlier than dd but smiled and laughed later. Babbling like crazy and loves to blow raspberries while eating. Lovely....
Seems much happier to play on his own as a result. Funny because I remember this time being a turning point with dd in terms of being settled and less grumpy.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 05/04/2006 16:50

Wow - they're just fab aren't they, I'm waiting for C to get on hands and knees but also kind of dread it as there's so much baby proofing that needs to be done here... I know a girl with a 10month old, wonder if she'd loan her out for the afternoon so I can see exactly what needs moving to where!!! Grin

Simplyred · 05/04/2006 17:14

Hello all!

Glad there is some sleep going on out there - I'm very tired today only had 2 hours and very drained by school holidays already!

Have fun with the leaflets Mummyhill.Lost 3.5 lbs this week - so just over a stone in total! This is good but I'm still 1.5 stones over weight!
