My goodness you have all been busy.

Wabbit - Sorry to hear about your back and the most recent up heaval with dp. Will be off work this week to try and finish the housework things that I got sidetracked from this week. Will phone you if you let me know when would be the best time. Will have to arrange a meet up a bit closer to you next time you chose and I will come over towards you for a change.

Nikinoo - Nice to see you back again, if your not far from wabbit maybe you could join us on one of our coffee and chat meetups.

SR - Glad you are starting your franchise. Hope it all goes well for you.

D is still not sleping through the night. No rolling here as dd is a menace. He does sit up though for a min or so before toppling. Had a minor miracle here yesterday. DH managed to put all the clean washing through the drier and to unload the dishwasher whilst I was at work!!!!

Simplyred · 19/03/2006 16:39

Hello Mummyhill - glad to hear dh is starting to pull his weight - my dh only does it if I'm not here - otherwise he is only makes a mess!

dd sat in her high chair and enjoyed pureed parsnip and potatoe - she enjoyed sitting with us all together at the table!

Nikkinoo · 19/03/2006 21:02

hey MH

it would ne great to meet up wi you and rabbit. So you are relatively close by too then.... who knows we could have seen each other without even realising!

Nikkinoo · 19/03/2006 21:03

wabbitintheheadlamps · 19/03/2006 21:13

Nikkinoo - I've had your second e-mail now and I'm so sorry to hear things are so tough Sad Did you get my reply?

Mummyhill - plenty of praise for your dh!!! Now, how to get it through that you also expect that kind of help when you are at home too Wink

SR - how did the parsnips go down? - I steamed some with our veg tonight to put aside to mash for the little man tomorrow - he's not tried them before.

Nikki - keep strong, thinking of you xxx

Nikkinoo · 19/03/2006 21:22

wabbitintheheadlamps · 19/03/2006 21:28

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better Smile

My little man isn't sleepy = he's laid across my lap as I type, N's got a friend over who's having a hard time with her mum, can see here being a bit of a refuge for Noops waifs and strays as she gets older! Bless, only trouble is I end up doing their laundry and feeding them [eyes rolling emoticon]

Keeps N happy though Smile

Mummyhill's just outside Birmingham

jofeb04 · 19/03/2006 21:30

Hiya all
Havent been on here for absoultly ages (always mean to but generally forget!).
Dd is 6months on the 25th, doing really well. Rolling over till she gets frustrated against the sofa or something! Loves blowing bubbles, so feeding time is pritty entertaining! She loves Sweet Potato with anything really!!
Im slowing getting over the PND.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 19/03/2006 21:38

Hi Jo - always good to see someone return Smile

ds is a roller here too - having to protect him from table legs and hearth etc with strategically placed cusions! Now I know why I've got so many!!! Grin

mummyhill · 19/03/2006 22:11

D loves any fruit and veg but not keen on meat or cheese. Sweet potatoe goes down particularly well.

Rhumba · 20/03/2006 09:59

welcome back Jofeb04, sorry to hear you've been a bit down.

G is enjoying food too, had this lovely idea of us all eating toether for the first time but all that happened was she squeaked so much for her sweet potato (which she loves) that Dh was so busy shovelling it in her that his dinner got cold!! Tried a crrot stick as per BLW instructions but it just got trown away! Had tried corgette earlier which wasn't a great sucess. Still pureeing at present when can you start mashing??? Gave her some baby rice which was a bit lumpy and she seemed to manage OK.

Also how long are folk leaving it between new foods. I'd heard various things from one to three days but not sure if that's a bit extreme (cos we all know folk with carrot allergies!!not)

Thanks for changing the quiz MH the other one was doing my head in.

mummyhill · 20/03/2006 18:24

Hi Jo - Glad to hear you are getting over the PND. I am still on meds and undergoing councelling for mine.

PiccadillyCircus · 20/03/2006 19:49

Hello Smile. Haven't read thread but will do so once I have posted this. I have somehow managed to not have used the internet since Thursday ShockGrin.

Simplyred · 20/03/2006 20:09

Hello!

I think my dentist is playing silly bu--ers with me! I have a painful wisdom tooth (yes really!!!) that has broken the surface but has no room to grow. Went on an emergency appointment today - he says it has a slight infection around it and gave me an antibiotic perscription to take if it worsens. He says it will 'flare up' from time to time as food will get in it - but its too difficult to remove. I wonder - is this because I am not only NHS - but on maternity exemption? Its seems stupid to keep it if it will get regularly infected. Dh had 2 removed no problem at all - but he paid for it £££ (puzzeled emoticon)

Nikkinoo · 20/03/2006 20:39

Hi everyone welcome back jo, I dip in and out of MN too, dont think anyone minds to much Smile

have had a good day today, feeling better seeing Hv tomorrow to talk about things

Charlotte is doing well still not rolling (getting paranoid re the rolling!!!!!) She may just be a chilled little girl who likes to kick back!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 21/03/2006 00:55

Hellloooo

I know a 7month baby who's not rolling yet Nikkinoo - your HV will be able to reassure you tomorrow though Smile

C's having more lumpy puree than his first tastes now and I only mash potato rather than puree to stop it going gluey - He's very much having what I've got in at the moment so no deliberate (and now I'll try him with this)-ing!

I've just had a lovely e-mail off an old flame from Glasgow - it's cheered me up to hear from him - all newsy stuff about exams and family nothing lush! lovely not to be forgotten by people who mean a great deal to you Smile

Missing Beatie and Milward too PC... everyone's got too busy to MN Sad

SimplyRed - don't think dentists like to extract a tooth when infection is present, I guess he must feel there is enough room for it to emerge, can't think he'd let you suffer unnecessarily, does he mean the infection will flare up or the discomfort as the tooth makes it's merry way in fits and starts?

My two top wisdom teeth are now present and I was always told they were so impacted they'd never emerge... had my bottom ones out, can't say I enjoyed looking like a hamster for monthsShock!

Hope it feels better with the antibiotics SR xxx

Nighty night all xxx

Ohh Weigh in day tomorrow - see if I've shifted any of the 65.5 kilos Have been exercising every day though Smile

mummyhill · 21/03/2006 08:43

Morning all.

I have been set the task of researching the family tree any advice on where to start? I have asked questions of all the older members of the family and can go back to 1825 with some branches of the tree I now need to know what else I need to do????????

beatie · 21/03/2006 09:19

nikkinoo - Alice shows no signs of rolling yet, at 6 months. Enjoy it whilst it lasts :) It won't be long until you can't leave her in a room and not know where she'll end up Grin

SR - I think NHS are sometimes criticised for doing too much (unecessary) work because they get money for each thing they do, so I doubt your dentist is allowing you to suffer for the sake of £££££. I still have my wisdom teeth and every so often they swell up and ache a bit.

Alice is having tastes of food. I'm trying to do the infamous MN baby-led weaning but I'm not that confident yet. Alice chews and swallows wonderfully but I'm a bit clueless on what and how much to offer.

Hello!

Thanks for your thoughts about dentists - I don't want to be a hamster Wabbitt - and I dont want unnecessary treatment. I think me and Mr Dentist may have our wires crossed - it may have room to grow and has certainly grown since January.

Rachel still likes fruity stuff better than savoury (with the exception of Apple which made her cry and gag!)

Mummyhill I used ancestory.co.uk - it links to other sites censors info is very good - but alot is chargable. Also if you know the area where your family were christened, married and burial info.then church records are good and usually free. Genes reunited is worth a try too and you might find distant relatives!

Right back to class - its been laughter and tears in class today - people tell you everything it must be similar being a doctor/vicar. I didn't expect it.

Love to all xxxx

wabbitintheheadlamps · 21/03/2006 17:34

Nikkinoo - yes your e-mail reached me, you got my reply yet? So glad things are looking rosier for you all Smile

I've been excercising all week and though I'm not dieting I've managed to lose a pound in weight to 10st 3lb which is 64.8kg... woo hoo!!!

SR - gosh yes, I suppose people kind of justify where they're at when they come to slimming world, are you enjoying it? how many meets do you lead a week?

Beatie - I've not seen your thread, what's it called and what subject?

Love to all - Mummyhill, I've got masses of ironing i want to get done but if you're on MSN nudge me to see if I'm about xxx

beatie · 21/03/2006 18:57

Well done Wabbit - at least it is coming off. My thread is on under Weaning "BLW. I think I need some support"

And I also have one under Behaviour and Development "My 3 year old licks everything" I kid you not!

Nikkinoo · 21/03/2006 20:25

Beatie my boy is six and he is forever putting things in his mouth, god he is as bad as the baby. i dont know whether it is a boy thing, because i had a bf once who was always sucking on things (but thats another story!!!)

Wabbit i got your email will reply. well done with the weight , i need to get back in size ten in a month, I am just under ten stone at the mo, but may join a gym with a creche, to help her get used to other people and to help me get toned

quick question C does cry her eyes out when i am not with her. her dad had her up his mums again on sunday when i dropped son aff at a party i was about 35 mins and she howled, when i came back she was sobbing. One saturday i left her for 5 hours with partner and his family, once again all she did was cry she was distressed.

is it because she is with me all of the time? i could leave the other 2 (with their dad) even though they were exclusively boobie babies and they did not get upset, as long as they were fed

milward · 21/03/2006 20:31

Hello to all - lots of best wishes xxx

my dd1 had her checkup after her hernia op & she's got the green light for gym & swimming - so she's really pleased.
