mummyhill · 26/03/2006 11:44

Ohh wabbit I hope C feels better soon. Glad to hear Noops is feeling much better.

Nikkinoo Easter hols will be great. Friday is usually my best day though.

Had a great time at my friends although DH has been in a bit of a sulk since we came back. Hope he is in a better frame of mind when he comes in from teaching as we have to go round to both sets of parents this afternoon with cards!!!!

Have a great Mothers Day all.

Nikkinoo · 26/03/2006 13:10

Morning everyone

Sounds good mummyhill

Wabbit hope C gets well soon, he is really going through stuff with his tooth aswell, bless him

happy mummies day, my DS thinks there should be a childrens day, he'll learn Wink

Simplyred · 26/03/2006 16:58

Happy Mothers Day all!!

Just delivered 2000 leaflets - my feet are killing me! So I'm now off for a treat - Chinesse for tea!!!

Simplyred · 27/03/2006 08:51

Morning!

Everything aches today!

milward · 27/03/2006 08:56

sr - well done for the leaflets! hope you can put your feet up today.

Hope all those with sick kids see them getting better soon.

Here my ds4 has had broncitis since wednesday. Took him to the doc on friday & he's had a temperature all weekend. He's not slept & I've not slept. Just thinking of myself in that I look & feel awful - & it's only monday.

PiccadillyCircus · 27/03/2006 10:18

Sickness isn't fair is it?

Milward, hope your DS gets some sleep today and you do as well.

Simply red, hope your aches and pains get better Smile.

Wabbitt, hope C gets better soon as well.

Pooka, hope your DD's ear is improving - why do these things often happen at weekends so you have to see emergency doctors?

This is an ill househo;d as well Sad. DS was ill on Friday (high temp, slept a lot, very snotty etc). On Saturday my mum and dad came and were going to be babysitting while DH and I went to a concert. But I got the illness thing and just wanted to sleep. So no concert Sad. Still felt yucky yesterday (and sweated lots and lots in bed).

Feel a bit better today (temp seems to have down from its peak of 102 yesterday) but now Alice is ill (temperature, no smiles Sad). Was meant to be going to a meetup this lunchtime but seeing as Alice and I not well and I don't want to eat any food due to it coming back up again, I'm not going to that either.

PiccadillyCircus · 27/03/2006 10:34

Shall we have a new thread soon? This one is getting quite long.

Simplyred · 27/03/2006 13:10

Oh no Pc and Milward - sounds horrid. Hope everyone will be feeling better soonxxx

mummyhill · 27/03/2006 21:33

Hugs SR hope the aches clear up soon and that you will get more members soon.

To all those with sick bodies at home I hope they are all feeling better soon.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 28/03/2006 08:32

Hi everyone

Spent the weekend in hospital with C as his temp was spiking at 39.6 and meds wouldn't bring it down - Dp has been fab - he does seem to know how to when he wants Wink

Our poor little man was unconsolable - constantly letting out an odd cry-like whimper, very brave to have his bloods taken though.

He was discarged yesterday pm and I was so tired I fell asleep on the sofa last night and didn't make it to bed.

Milward - hope ds 4 gets much better soon, know exactly what that tiredness is like I didn't sleep sat night at all and was vomiting throughout sunday night... feeling alot better now just thin on the ground.

Pooka - hope your dd's ear infection clears and it's the last one of the winter... poor dear.

SR - hope you're feeling better too

PC - and you! typical this sickness happens when there's other lovely things to do - hope you can make up for your missed events soon... and the rest of the PC household feel better too

best wishes to everyone and hoping no-one else gets ill xxx

mummyhill · 28/03/2006 08:41

Wabbit - Give C a big hug from the hills please. Sorry you had such a stressful weekend. Glad your DP was helpful.

The decluttering is still in progress here. It is taking ages as I have 8 years of stuff to sort through for DH and I then 4 yrs worth of kids clutter too. It doesn't help when you keep being side tracked by children.

PiccadillyCircus · 28/03/2006 12:50

Wabbit - hope C is feeling better (and you as well). Alice got up to quite a high temp yesterday but has gone done today and she is much more like herself again.

She was so sad yesterday though - if she could have spoken I think she'd have said "What's happening to me Mummy?"

Mummyhill, I know what you mean about clutter and how you get completely distracted by children. We have a lot fewer years of clutter, but both DH and I are terrible for creating it.

PiccadillyCircus · 28/03/2006 12:52

Forgot my Shock post.

Alice slept completely through last night. Fed at 8pm, slept all night until 8am Shock.

Of course, I didn't sleep as well as that (including an embarrasing panic at 5am when I was convinced someone had stolen her Blush) as her cot is now in her room. It took DH a long time to calm me down.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 28/03/2006 13:31

Well done Alice!! Smile and poor you PC thinking someone had taken her - there was a shocking thing on TV last night where a teeny 6 day old had been abducted - had you seen it?

Mummyhill - keep up the good work! I'll have to look to see when N's easter hols begin and we can work another meet-up out with Nikkinoo too Smile

pooka · 28/03/2006 22:11

Am Envy re:the sleeping babies! Me too me too me too! Please....

Wabbit - how horrible for you all. Hope C is well on the mend.

Tom fine (apart from the sleeping). IS eating masses, but seems to have eased off on the breast feeding. Has a bit of a cold, so hope that's what's going.

Thanks for get wells re: dd. Was given a script for amoxcillin, but advised to hold off giving it to see whether the infectipon would clear up anyway. I am really keen to avoid third dose of abs in 3 months so am dosing with calpol while keeping an eye on her to see whether she gets more pain. Hope I'm doing the right thing though....

Nikkinoo · 29/03/2006 07:26

Wabbit sorry for conrad bless him Sad

lottie is full of the cold she has slept with me all night last night.

Roll on the summer

wabbitintheheadlamps · 29/03/2006 10:28

Oh yes - bring on some good weather, it's nice now the evenings are lighter but weather so miserable here I just want to go back to bed!

C is ba ba ba-ing in his bouncy chair next to me - temp a little raised again today but just dosed him with some more calpol... no sickness but nasty cough now

My sister's little one hasn't arrived yet, she's got her C section booked for Friday if boo doesn't arrive before then - quite funny we're keeping this bit of info from Mum because she's likely to overdo the smothering and sympathising (she had 4 sections) DSis can't stand this and though it will be her 3rd wants to give boo every opportunity to arrive in her own time... Come on Baby or Friday (whichever happens first) we want to meet you!!!

Determined to get some work done in the daytime today so I'm going to do just that now whilst C is happy Smile

Love to all

Nikkinoo - thanks for your e mail I'll reply later hope little Lottie (love that shortening of Charlotte Smile) starts feeling better soon xx

beatie · 29/03/2006 16:40

Sorry to hear about all the sick babies, mummies and other family members. Hope everyone is fit and healthy soon.

Nice one Alice! Grin I hope you gave your mummy a repeat performance of sleeping through.

It's all a bit overwhelming over here. I feel like I cannot get on top of an ever-growing to-do list. I'm sure you ALL feel the same way. I feel like I'm being swallowed up by the house today. I tidy bits or sort bits out and then look into another area and a new mess has been created... (ahem - 3 year old dd!)

I've given up watching TV as I need all my evening time to do stuff.

I shopped this morning with Alice in tow. She did really well and remained contented for over an hour. It was her first time sitting up properly in the seat of a supermarket trolley. I think she loved the attention she was getting from all the other shoppers. She got fed up eventually and I had to load the conveyor belt and pack my shopping with her held on my hip. I was still faster than the idiotic couple in front of me where the woman bagged the shopping really slowly and the man watched! And I chose that aisle assuming two people would be faster.

Alice is eating sporadically. I'm worrying less about this weaning business. She seems contented enough. She does really well biting and chewing toast, banana, baby rice cakes, avocado and even melon! I have bought a finger foods book and plan to make up some batches of more meal-type finger foods. When I get time Wink

I'm supposed to go to the gym tonight but I feel like I have been on the go all day already. Do I need to? I'd rather have a lie down. Grin

I hope everyone else is well. Have the changing clocks affected any baby's sleep patterns? My two girls sorted themselves out quickly, thankfully, and have the same bedtimes but sleep longer in the morning. Nice :)

Right, off to sing with dd1 who hadn't had much fun mummy-time this afternoon.

Rhumba · 29/03/2006 19:46

sick baby here too with the cold, like Tom she's not been so keen on the brest the last few days but stuffing her face with food. Still offering breast first but no doubt she knows best hahah!

V jealous of sleeping babies am in my PJ's and hoping for an early night seeing as Dh is out

hope everyone's little ones perk up soon

mummyhill · 29/03/2006 19:48

House full of colds here as well. Not a happy mummy. We all need sleep so I will get littleies ready and put them to bed whilst finishing cooking our tea followed by collapsing into bed ourselves!!!

Simplyred · 29/03/2006 20:45

Hello!

Hope every one is feeling better. Is C feeling better Wabbitt? Glad dp was so helpful.

Glad to hear Alice slept through and wasn't stolen!PC

Totally exhusted - dd up twice last night and ds once! I also had difficulty sleeping as mind was a buzz after first 4 Slimming world clubs - but it went well - but I could do better c+ I think!

Simplyred · 29/03/2006 20:46

OHHH OHHH ps had a dream last night I was married to Johnny Depp! So not such a bad night after all!!!

PiccadillyCircus · 29/03/2006 20:50

Alice was back to her normal habits last night (ie 11pm, 2am and 6am). Starting to wonder if her milk intake has decreased with solid eating as she only had milk on Monday and slept so much.

She and I went into London today to go into my office and discuss my return to work in July. I'm working for the same firm as when I came back after DS, but in a different office and it has been so much nicer this time not having to battle for part time hours Smile. Still haven't come to a conclusion yet, but I will either be working 3 or 4 days a week, with one regular day from home.

Alice was much admired and was very happy being looked after by one of the secretaries while I was discussing with the partner. She and I had lunch in John Lewis afterwards and then she had post lunch milk in the nice parents' room which has a lovely rocking chair in it Smile.

Alice is completely recovered, I am nearly recovered (no sweating last night thank goodness). DS is still quite tired I think - a quiet day will be had tomorrow.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 29/03/2006 23:34

So glad you're feeling better PC - sorry Alice hasn't managed to keep to her long sleeps - here's hoping she will soon Smile

SR - That's not fair - the beautiful Johnny Depp is lovely especially in dream form Smile

wonder if it's a hormone thing this having vivid dreams - I dreamed I found a long lost friend... was so lovely as I've been trying to trace her for years now - was sad when I woke to find it wasn't real Sad

Conrad's temp is still raised but not alarmingly - I'm not taking him out until he's much better, he's still crying with a high pitched upset weepyness whenever I put him down - I wondered if his head was hurting as it seemed to be as his head rested on anything (other than me) but the doctor thinks this is more Mummyitis than anything... just wanting to be with me for the comfort.

I've been tired and snappish today - I always end up feeling guilty when I snap - even if it's in the 'virtual' world Sad

Rhumba - enjoy your early night hope dd is better soon

And ALL other babies too xxx and cuddles to all

Beatie - yes it does seem that at about the six month mark everything gets tougher... outstanding housework - bill paying - form filling - it all gets sidelined for a while and then bam you've got to face it all at once - totally sympathise xxx

Mummyhill - hope you're all on the mend soon xxx

Nighty night

wabbitintheheadlamps · 30/03/2006 11:01

Morning!
