Evening - has anyone else had problems getting the babies off to sleep because of blood fireworks? Grr. Poor dd was crying in in her cot for over half an hour b'cos of the noise, poor thing, we went in to her (obviously!) but usually she settles so well, am blaming stupid fireworks which I normally love

ledkr boo to Dilly waking at 5 and being a pain in the bum handful, dd is now waking a few times a night, usually just for the dummy but she used to sleep through regularly - I never thought babies could get worse with their sleep Hope she gives you a lie in tomo.

Needto wow you have got a lot to deal with, sounds like you're being so strong and your other half is lucky to still have you around. Hope he bloody knows it. Its annoying when the answer is 'oh I was drunk, I'm so sorry' beacuse in a way you know thats true and thats all it is, although on the other hand he is being a tit If he is at rock bottom maybe this is what it will take, just look after yourself and C at the mo.

If it helps im a bit keen on the old booze and can act a tad out of character when under the influence.I took a guys number a few years back and dh found out and was furious, and yet i love dh as if my life depends on it,im just a twat when drunk. Just popped on quickly as we are already stations a go go for christening prep. I asked DH to get alice changed this morning before we put her christening outfit on later and his version of getting alice changed is to keep her in her sleep suit just put a cardi on top [sigh]

ponyo alice woke up at 11 and cried for 20 mins before she went down again - I'm wondering if it might have been fireworks too

wiggles to gravy yard - I like the sound of that far more. Oh - I saw I think MTV are doing their music awards in belfast tonight - any celeb goss from your sister and her celeb filled bar would be gratefully received please .

Morning - well dd awake for about an hour at 3.30am - she had a really snotty nose so coulnd't breathe and kept waking herself up poor thing, really felt for her and didn;t really know what to do to be honest. Oh dear we have months of this to come don't we?!

ledkr I meant to say re: caneston - dp went to get some yest and it seems to be helping, glad D's front bottom is better now. This may sound dumb but I didn't think thrush was a red rash - I always thought it was internal No judging re: stupid drunken antics, I know I've done some stupid stuff...

Today is dp's birthday and I got him one present (as skint) but its not ready yet, feel mean that I don't actually have anything to give him!Hopefully having a nice lie in will be enough of a present

I didnt get much for Dh last week either and felt bad as he did such a nice one for me,i got him an i tunes card but some lush card off the girls and i paid for dinner and pics (orange wednesday haha)

I am knackered. We had a bonfire party which was lovely.Everyone went by 9 and i sent dd with dil as she was feeling upset re the break up with ds3.

Me and dh settled down with a drink to watch tv and went to bed about 11.30 smugly expecting a good night cos dills had eaten loads and had a late night
Well how wrong we were,she woke at 4 and it took about an hr to settle her then i couldnt go back to sleep and then dh got up at 6.30 and d woke even tho he was very quiet.
I am literally like the walking dead and intend to do sod all today.

Sorry about all your disturbed nights :( Hate to say it but both my girls slept through the firework display at the pub 50m away and neither woke till 7.30am . Was really surprised S slept so long because she got up from her last sleep at 5.20 then back to bed at 7.15! Well, they say sleep begets sleep. No wonder she's not learnt to crawl, spends all her time in bed!

Deb the night before Diily slept all night cos she had had a late sleep,tis true.

ponyo we have the walking dead to watch but I think Nate switched off the box as episode 3 is missing , really hope FX will repeat it at some stage. Were going to watch episode 1 last night but chickened out and watched 30 rock instead!

I managed to watch a lovely firework display from the warmth and comfort of our attic room. N quite bizarrely slept through the whole thing, only waking when it was nice and quiet. Might buy him a CD of gunfire and explosions and see if it helps him sleep through, weirdo.

We are off to a christmas fair today, DH is very excited bless him.

i have read all posts but haven't posted as very bad week for me. My sis got sentenced to 4 years and it was the 2yr anniversary of my dads passing. I don't tend to deal very well.

Sorry I started the thread then did a runner! Am almost over the ear infection - I can now unfortunately hear DD when she cries at night! DP's been off for a few days so we've been busy getting ready for the big Back To Work day. He's got am n flu though so has had regular naps etc while I've carried on. Swine.

emski how was the first week?

I'm terrified about tomorrow. I'm a real planner and hate that I can't envisage what's going to happen. I've had lots of sleepless nights too with random stuff playing on my mind - an old friend who is really very ill, my ex getting married yesterday and my silly ear. I'm sure once I've dropped R off and got into work it'll be fine but I do wish DP wasn't poorly as I could do with some hand holding!

Getting vaguely cheered up by Zac Efron in 17 again. Suspect he is young enough to be my child but hey, I also fancy One Direction so he's not my worst crush!

Just popped on quickly to say GOOD LUCK to all those back at work tomorrow! I have to say its a lot easier than it seems, tho i do miss Noah terribly I know he's happy at nursery and with mil. I'm actually ok about going again tomorrow, def helps that I only work three days.

Have packed my bag and A's for nursery - what do babies need at nursery?! Nappies, wipes, change of clothes, cream... erm thats it?

I have been and bought a Vicks room vapourizer today, the amount of snot coming from A's nose is increasing and its really affecting her sleep, I am hoping for Good Things after reading lots of internet reviews, its bloody noisy but think that might help her sleep at the moment. Will let you know tomo if it is worth it...

ponyo hope Anya starts to feel better. Anna has been a huge grump last night and today, think it must be teeth, can't get near her mouth and she's off her food again. She also has a cough which is waking her and she is intermittently throwing up her bottles, I've had almost a year off work and we've all been relatively healthy, the day before I go back we all coughy, sore chesty and toothachey . I can't wait to get tomorrow over me, although Mr W isn't working until tomorrow afternoon so I don't have to do 3 different drop offs before I start work, that joy awaits me next week!!!

My sisters bar is very near the arena, she was in work until 3am this morning and went back in this evening to do the same again. Will impart any gossip she shares but she's that knackered I'm not sure she would care if Lady Gaga turned up in a meat dress in her place. But the Police had to close the streets around her work because of Justin Bieber fans descending towards his hotel and causing a noise nuisance

We were too busy winding Mr W up this afternoon because he didn't know who Selena Gomez was, and then he hurrumphed when we tried to explain it

Happy Birthday to Ponyo's dh. For nursery Noah has two changes of clothes, nappies, wipes, 2 premade bottles, water cup, sleeping bag and his Binky. Also always leave gloves and mittens in case they go into the garden. I use an air purifier every evening in Noah's room before his bath with Albas oil in it. If he has a cold I use a Vicks plug in, I love the smell, plus it definitely helps him sleep.

To everyone going back to work tomorrow...I'm afraid to say that you slip back into it all too easily! But the day goes quicker than you expect & before you know it, it's time to go get the bubbas & you wonder what you were worried about

ponyo can u not leave nappies, wipes, creams & milk with the nursery in advance? We were told to leave 4 changes of clothes...I thought this was excessive til I went to get N on Thursday & noticed he was wearing a top that wasn't his...he'd gone they 3 bloomin tops & so nursery ended up putting a spare on him...wee soul! Yeah, you also need to leave a heavy jacket/coat & hat & mittens in case they go into the garden (they seem to do that everyday in ours!).

Just try & be as organised as you can...you'll be shattered tomorrow evening, can't remember ever feeling so tired!

hubbard & needto society to hear you're both having such an awful time...as everyone has said, we're all here for you, even if it's just for a vent!

wiggles typical timing re: virus/bugs...couldn't believe I came down with the lurgy before going back to work, only now over it but poor N is still all snotty!

Sorry not caught up earlier - had a bit of a meltdown to dh and realise I'm definitely not right still re: pnd. No return call from hv. I was in hysterics because I've got my weigh in tomorrow and I just know I won't have lost anything as I've been eating too much and i can't tell you how soul destroying it is to be weighed and never lose any weight - it just makes me feel even less confident in myself (if that's possible). ANyway, DH says to quit ff but to continue with the leisure centre aerobics class I've joined which I enjoy. I've also ordered a dvd which does exercises in 10 min bursts which I should manage to do with alice about.

Christening was great thanks - Alice was on top form and very happy - I swear no one ever believes she is so moany with me as she always acts like she's so perfect when we see anyone . We got lots of lovely gifts from people but alice had more fun playing with the wrapping paper than what was inside them
