The clothes thing does my nut in. Why can't the bloody shops make them all the same size?? Tesco for eg is MASSIVE- Imy, who is a TALL nearly 3yo is still in a pair of their 12-18mo trousers. WTF? I want to be able to go right, that's it. 6-9 mo in loft, 9-12 in drawers. Actually I do that anyway Blush she just looks a bit daft for a while!! Imy's clothes are a joke, her trousers are all too short and too big at the waist Envy. delia please stop saying dull WE ARE ALL DULL HERE Grin

reastie yes sounds like that but I can't imagine your coil catching on your clothes like my implant did [wince]

Girls defo going down with another cold whist still coughing from the last one. Early nights and calpol methinks tonight. So so glad we're not at pils...

Just made some spiced Christmas biscuits with the girls (ok they ate the dough so did I), got a roast on now, girls happily playing together and Classic FM on the radio, happy me :)

ledkr · 20/12/2011 17:06

Oi cooking ladies on ere,can i cook my turkey lurkey on xmas eve without it being a dried up old bird like me on xmas day??? I cant face a morning of oven juggling.

Sainsbos have some good kids clothes for the girls.I just got some lovely soft comfy day time outfits iyswim, little dungarees and leggings and a soft dress,i find it handy if like tonight we are out for dinner and can put her in that and then into her bag and into bed when home. She has had her bath cos after a huge pooh she also puked Grin

I have a vile cold, couldnt sleep for coughing last night.Felt like a drug addict at the pharmacy today assessing the cold remedies to select the most sleep inducing one haha. The old pharmacist was like this Hmm we have aright one here.

Four4me · 20/12/2011 17:16

Just mning quickly while ignoring supervising tea time and noticed 'Feb 2012' on active discussions ......... Arrrrr they are nearly one how the hell did that happen.

Evening all.......

debka · 20/12/2011 19:00

ledkr when I worked in the restaurant we cooked turkey in advance- carve on the day and microwave with a bit of gravy on individual plates, no-one will know Xmas Grin. Can I recommend Night Nurse for getting off to sleep with a cold please?

44me Shock how did that happen!

Right better go, weigh in tonight, and I Haven't Been A Good Girl

wigglesrock · 20/12/2011 20:43

Hiya, well Olivias play was so funny and cute and sweet and tearful, I'm just thankful it wasn't last year when I was pregnant, my poor sister was an emotional mess at the end of it. As were both nanas and a granda Blush, only Anna and I were resolute in the face of 50 of the most beautiful children ever singing Away in a Manager Grin

Four4Me Grin at Joseph being a very serious angel, Sofia took being a snowflake to ridiculous heights of seriousness.

My mum went to Sainsburys this afternoon and bought a whole load of stuff for the girls. Anna is a definite 12-18 months size in length, arm length, etc but certain things just hang off her in the shoulders. She has got the longest arms I have ever seen Shock I keep moving things out of her way and she is still able to reach them.

blizy Xmas Grin for your Christmas holidays starting tomorrow. Olivia finishes school tomorrow, Sofia finishes on Fri and I finish on Sat, but I'm not back until 13 Jan - I have almost a whole week "off" when the girls are back at nursery/school. Welll just me and the banana!

ILovePonyo · 20/12/2011 20:49

Good luck for weigh in deb! Bet you'll still have lost weight. Oh and Blush and Grin at you saying I have nice hair

delia the clothes thing is a pain in the bum isn't it, A has just gone into 6-9months size but her feet are so long they are growing out of the babygrows, which are otherwise massive on her Hmm She has a set of a few tops and leggings she wears most of the time, I don't know what I'll do when they don't anymore! One of which is a top which is 1-2 months size Hmm Glad C is ok. Am off to nosy for you on fb now, my pic is me and A just so you know who the random is Grin

MizK yum to party food leftovers, I've just eaten a loads of mint aero bubble things. A is better today luckily, still coughing and snotty though (nice)

blizy your day with baby mindee sounds fun! Today when I picked A up from nursery she had 'made' a glittery calender, done us a xmas card with a photo of her making calender on it and she got a present of paint and a stamp to make pictures with - love it!

ledkr I have no clue about cooking turkey but Grin at "dried up old bird", you have a way with words!

Got to go and make bottles, hope the babies sleep well tonight x

ILovePonyo · 20/12/2011 20:51

Aww to the play wiggles I would deffo have blubbed Grin

debka · 20/12/2011 20:56

I lost 2lb!! Not sure how. Relaxing now- just ate a mince pie and 2 chocolate truffles Xmas Grin

wiggles aaahhhhh at your girls, I can't wait till mine are in a play.

ponyo it's true.

Is S the only one not having bottle/breast feeds any more? She just has a beaker of milk on the go most of the day probably horrific for her teeth

chocoroo · 20/12/2011 20:56

Evening.

Well, DP has the man flu again so I'm having a cuppa and a CurlyWurly. I'll be on the Slimming World after Christmas.

Not sure who asked now but R is going into 12-18m stuff now. I certainly can't buy her new 9-12 stuff and she needs it for the length in vests and tops especially. Some 9-12 stuff is v short in leg but the 12-18m stuff is ridiculously long. She basically looks an eejit 90% of the time.

wiggles Thr play sounds v cute. I am Grin at the serious snowflake.

led Defo do the turkey in advance. On Twitter today Sara Cox seems to have been making most of her Christmas dinner.

Now. Enough with the nice stuff. What have you all got the babies for Christmas? R is getting spoiled by everyone apparently although wr've just bought her a ball tent for a tenner, a tunnel for another tenner and some shakey instruments. And a whole other pile of stuff. Who am I kidding? Someone please tell me they have also gone a bit mad?!

debka · 20/12/2011 21:02

choc I've got S a... something from the Sainsburys toy sale for about £7. Can't actually remember what. They get so much from family, it's a bit overwhelming IMO. DH thinks I'm tight he's right. Father Christmas has got them some little presents for their stockings too.

wigglesrock · 20/12/2011 21:15

choc Santa is getting Anna a moose rocker from Ikea, a few push toys I got in Sainsbos for £1, the Tomy hide and squeak eggs and a rabbit in a hat cuddly toy from Ikea. Santa has a direct line to Ikea apparently Grin

Ps throw us a Curley Wurley - them and Chomps are my absolute fave Grin

My mil has got her a doll, my parents a toy farm, and clothes from everyone else, pjs from her great granny etc. My sister got her the cutest dungaree set from M&S - I can't wait to put her in them.

debka well done, you'll be a shadow of your former self soon Grin

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 20/12/2011 21:16

wiggles glad the play went well. I can't wait till I get to see Alice in such things Grin

Am Shock to all these babies in 12-18 month stuff already. DH and I measured Alices height (we got one of those child height wall things) a couple of weeks ago and I think she was 65cm tall - anyone else care to measure their babies?! Wink

ledkr Grin to the old bird comment. I'd go with debs advice

deb go you losing weight Grin and Envy

Going to try and get an early night tonight in prep for the big day where I turn 30 21 again Wink . Got a DVD to treat myself to so may start it tonight in bed while everyone is asleep Grin as I know I won't get a minute to myself tomorrow. I have a horrible feeling DH has forgotten it's tomorrow that's my birthday - he asked what I was doing tomorrow and when I shrugged don't know he didn't mention anything Confused

choc re pressies - I tried to be tight but somehow I've accumulated a happyland london bus, a xylophone, a changing colour christmas decoration thingy, I hand sewed a little name thing for her and a few other bits that I can't actually remember Blush . I've wrapped them in lots of paper though as I think she'll enjoy that more than the pressies Wink . Has everyone got a christmas outfit for their LOs?

Right off to bed in the stinky bedroom that smells of wet dog where I carpet cleaned the bedroom carpet earlier and it hasn't dried out yet Confused

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 20/12/2011 21:19

xposted with wiggles - I got alice the eggs too (I forgot!). No ones really asked us what Alice wants apart from my mum so I'm expecting to have loads of plastic tat toys to have to find a home for. My aunt is knitting Alice a cardi though - her first ever knitting project - can't wait to see it Grin

chocoroo · 20/12/2011 21:23

Phew. Am not the only one who has gone a bit mad then.

Yep Reastie R has a couple of Christmas outfits lined up. Oh, and at her HV appointment last week she measured 76cm and quite clary had her legs bent. She's a beast.

We have the squeaky eggs already. R is mental for them, I only get them out occasionally as they roll under the sofa and I have to spend half the evening fishing them out!

debka · 20/12/2011 21:24

reastie fx he's planning a big surprise for you.... Confused Be so glad when yours and DH's birthdays are over and the mornings start getting lighter again. (sorry!) Have you had a weigh-in recently or have you kicked fat fighters woman to the curb? (kerb?)

Anyone else watching Jamie Oliver? I heart him. A lot.

blizy · 20/12/2011 21:28

Ohhh reastie enjoy your last night of your twenties! Hope your dh has something fab Planned for you x

ILovePonyo · 20/12/2011 21:32

choco Grin at eejit. I have got A an iggle piggle toy for xmas... and thats it so far! She has a load of tat presents from pil, some bits from my friend and probably a shitload from my sister who I'm sure will spoil her rotton, as will my mum I imagine. We are going to have a car full on the way back from mother ponyos this year!

deb well done! A still has bottle first thing, at least one if not two in the day and one before bed. Eek should I be reducing them?!

reastie as you are well aware A has an elf outfit for xmas Wink she also has a special xmas top with a reindeer on for nursery tomo. Your dh better not have forgotten your birthday!! What are your plans?

wiggles I love that rabbit in a hat toy, its so cute!

Am watching jamie deb, I heart him too :)

debka · 20/12/2011 21:38

ponyo Imy was still having 4 bfs a day at this age. Think it's just little Bean, she wants to be like her sister! I'll defo be doing his roasties on Christmas day, nummy...

wigglesrock · 20/12/2011 21:45

reastie agree am sure dh has got something lovely for you - if not send him our way and we'll have a word Grin

ponyo we had to do 2 car trips last year from my parents house last year, my pils go a bit mad at Christmas - they didn't have much money when their boys were young so they make up for it now and they have the added novelty of buying for girls Grin

Anna still has 3 bottles as well sometimes 4, although she is fiddling about with them now - trying to figure out how to break them. My fil calls her "my little wrecker" and its apt - she loves turning things upside down, stamping on them etc trying to figure out how they work!

My mil always buys the girls their Christmas clothes and tbh she has quite good taste Shock

Anna when she stands up is up to Sofias hips and she's tall, might get the tape measure out tomorrow Grin

ILovePonyo · 20/12/2011 21:49

Oh good glad A is still having bottles too wiggles, Grin at 'little wrecker' - I could use that for A! Shock at the 2 car trips, I can see that being a possibility for us too..

Cute about little Bean wanting to be like big sis debka :)

hub8allthemincepies · 20/12/2011 23:35

hiya, been lurking as i've been immensly stressed out. Tom has chicken pox, freya has a cold and dh has man flu and a bad back. Headless and chicken spring to mind to describe the last week.

May have gone a bit mad but i have been getting stuff since july for freya. She's got a wooden walker, iggle piggle, rocket shape sorter, a wind up lullaby tv, xmas pjs, a red tutu with leggings and an i love santa top, books, rag doll as well as her stocking full of little bits.

She is still in 6-9 and still wears some 3-6 vests. Yet some of her 9-12 fit too.

Freya still has about 3-4 bottles a day i keep thinking about giving her normal milk instead of formula not sure when to stop though.

wigglesrock · 21/12/2011 07:19

hub8allthemincepies I was thinking the same about Anna, I gave her some ordinary milk in a cup the other day and she was a bit wtf. Although the other two just took to cows milk no bother all I didn't phase it in just did a complete swop. I usually swapped when the SMA ran out near their first birthday. Hope Freya and Tom start to feel better xx

reastie Happy big birthday sweetheart xx Hope you have a brilliant day x

blizy · 21/12/2011 07:22

Happy, happy birthday reastie welcome to the club 30! Hope you have an amazing day x

debka · 21/12/2011 08:40

Happy birthday reastiepants!!!

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 21/12/2011 08:42

Thanks guys, my 30's started with DH getting up at 3am to make himself some microchips Hmm and then me not being able to get back to sleep until 6 only to get woken up by alice Confused [yawn] . Must be getting old Wink

I thought DH had forgotten but he dutifully mumbled happy birthday before he went off to work Grin . Off to Mums soon to open all my pressies and living in hope she'll take alice for an hour or two so I can chillax with a dvd

hub what a stressful time Sad . Any one of those things would tip me over the edge let alone everything. Hope DH at least gets better really quickly so he can be some help

wiggles 'little wrecker' - yup, that's alice. She just crawls round the house creating devastation everywhere. I've sort of given up being house proud now and resigned to having a broken house. She ate cat food yesterday Shock and broke into DHs chocolate advent calendar to help herself to some chocolate takes after her parents . She's just found a bit of rusk on the floor and is trying to eat it

blizy I just wanted to say thinking of you yesterday as I had a sudden reminder of when I had a mc before Alice, and how I started mcing on boxing day. It made me really tearful that the anniversary is in the next week and what would have been etc etc. I then thought of you as what I feel is incomparable to what you have been through and your hurt much be so much more raw and central to your existance. I'm sorry I'm not saying this very well but alice is attacking my sewing bag and gtg incase she hits needle jackpot Shock
