Bugger led that's grim :( Sometimes I just cannot wait until S is older and sleeps better/doesn't need me so much. Which is a shame because if she is my last this is it for me. S was awake at 4 but went back off till 5.30, yawn. We're now sitting playing with toys trying not to wake the rest of the house.

In other news- we had a babble today!! Shock [proud]

Have booked a table in a fancy (ish) pub restaurant for our anniversary on Sat, I can't wait. Hope I can stay awake long enough to eat my pudding (o yes there WILL be pudding Grin)

delia that sounds horrid, those bugs are so infectious. Glad C is on the medn now.

borg thanks for asking the routine q- so interesting to read other people's. Everyone else's babies stay up longer than mine before a nap, maybe I'll see if S will go a bit longer.

jane it's truly shit and no-one should have to go through it. :(

ledkr Hug and passes you a sneaky cig, A woke up at 4.00am and went back down at about 5.10am, I didn't! - thank God for BBC News 24 - I feel super smart pity I'm too feckin' tired to share my knowlege on Libya and Niger Grin Hope today is easy for you x

debka we are sneaking out to the pictures tomorrow afternoon and then a late lunch/early tea for our anniversary, reminds me of being very young, Mr W and I used to frequent the cinema a lot when we started going out [phnar phnar] Well done on the babbling - I'm assuming you mean S Grin

tadjenny Morning/Night night Grin

Ponyo Happy Birthday, have a brilliant day - Hope A has got you a Worlds Best Mummy type card

debka · 08/09/2011 06:54

What is it with these bloody babies today??

wiggles I saw Niger mentioned on the news yesterday am and wondered how long it would be before DH smirked and referred to it rhyming with Tigger (but saying the Actual N Word). Not long- last night he came out with it.

ponyo happy birthday :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ponyo! Hope you have a lovely day.Grin

Oh ledkr thats crap, if I lived close to you I would help you out today, hope it's an easy one and Dilly behaves.

I have my baby mindee comming today at 8am, enjoying my morning coffee before the carnage Grin.

Hope all the babies behave and you all have a nice day.

ILovePonyo · 08/09/2011 08:09

Thanks for the happy birthdays :) I have just managed to drop dd on her head when putting her on her mat (well she flung herself on the floor head first) what a crappy start to my birthday feeling like a bad mum Wink

ledkr am Shock at D, what on earth how does she manage it?! Hope today is ok for you, get some nurofen in you.

milkmachine dd seems to wake after exactly 30 mins, its annoying but she sleeps well at night so can't complain.

jane I don't know how you managed to get through the first few weeks and more to be honest, I find myself thinking of you and how strong you are. Hope baby mindee is good for you today!

deb Hmm at your dh, but enjoy the Sat night dinner and espesh the pudding!

wigs an early one for you too Shock Have a great time tomo

Got to go, little miss crying and its time for porridge from a jar Grin

ledkr · 08/09/2011 08:10

Hi all-thank God for you lot,i was feeling all irrational but now just feel normal.Poor dh i was all tearfull and desperate when he went to work,i feel a bit of a drama queen now.She is sneezing and abit snotty so maybe its another cold, thing is tho if she was crying in pain or discomfort id be very sympathetic but its the "just awake" i struggle with.
I aggree wiggs thank god for 24hr tv,i was watching a horror film at 5am.I remember with the boys there would be nothing on at night apart from that freaky girl with the chalk board.

deb i was just telling dh about cc and how fab it was for you,im not so sure now Grin

You both sound as if you have niuce anniversay celebs plannned.BB-before baby- we often went to the daytime cinema and ate popcorn,it was lovely.I threw up once when we saw "cloverfield" it made me motion sick,i only just made the toilet!

jane i saw that i think,so awfull.Did you post? I know its not the same but i felt pretty angry and devastated having to have my mastectomy so young,it helped me to help others iyswim,im not sure if its the same for you. Never think we have forgotten what you are going thru,i think of you and Zoe all the time like all of us,and get actual butterflies when i imagine you finally telling us you have had your next baby,im so glad you stayed with us x

ledkr · 08/09/2011 08:11

Any brummies on here,id be up for a drive up one day for a little light lunch,it only takes me 40 mins.

ledkr · 08/09/2011 08:12

Sorry HAPPY BIRTHDAY PONYO

debka · 08/09/2011 08:56

See led I felt fine at 5.30, it's 9 now and I am seriously flagging. DH has just taken Imy to my aunt's to Make Cakes so at least I'll have a quiet morning with just the baby. Buffet just needs assembling, done all the hard work already.

Emski76 · 08/09/2011 09:03

Sorry to all those with sleepless babies. Noah was ok last night and woke at 6, still too early for me but better than lots of you had it this morning.

Jane, I can only reiterate what the others have said. You are always in my thoughts, and like Ledkr, I look forward to the time you tell us you've had your next baby.

Ponyo, happy birthday! Have a good day.

Have good anniversarys Debs and Wiggles!

Shall we make a list of where everyone lives to see if any more meet ups are possible?
I live in Weston super Mare, which is half hour from Bristol.

chocoroo · 08/09/2011 09:03

Happy birthday ponyo have a lovely day.

Ah yes, Hubbard My midlands buddy! We'll have to drag ledkr up then and have our own meet up. In fact, everyone should come as we are clearly the most central point for everyone!

Jane Lots of hugs. You are easily one of the strongest people I "know". I get strength from you.

deb wiggles led I will jumpnon your tired bus too. DD thought it would be good to wake at midnight, then do a wide awake jig between 4 and 6:30. She fell asleep then, I didn't until two
Minutes before DP's alarm went off at 6:45. I'm exhausted. We're off to meet friends at lunch time but I fully intend to have a nap with her this afternoon. She sounds a little bit snotty so maybe the digital cold is heading our way!

Blooming babies!

ledkr · 08/09/2011 09:53

i am sorry others had bad nights but its made me feel so much better, its easy to over react when tired and think its just you.

em WSM is my place of worship! Had many a happy day out there, had to keep my brother updated in france when the pier burnt down,he was gutted. Maybe we could take the kids there one day.
Bristol and brum are still m5 we could meet halfway-say at cheltenham Grin
D does have cold.

chocoroo · 08/09/2011 10:15

That's a good idea Em I reckon at least a few of us could meet somewhere in the middle...

So far we have:

chocoroo - Birmingham
Hubbard - Wolverhampton
ledkr - Cheltenham
emski - Weston

Anyone else?

wigglesrock · 08/09/2011 10:27

Hello fellow knackerees, Anna is just competing in the Grumpolympics this morning. Have already done our big shop at Tescos - you know the shop were you have to buy washing powder, toilet roll etc Shock Finished off the bits and pieces for my stint at making Anna some food. So if anyone hears of hell freezing over this afternoon, you know its because I have turned my oven on Grin

ledkr · 08/09/2011 11:35

oh what trauma.I decided to start getting d to sleep without the bottle as that is the problem. Bit of cc it thought to myself, how hard can it be?Its the daytime im not trying to sleep i told myself.WTF? She does not give in,and th3en im torn between feeling like giving up and thinking if i do that ive put her through it for nothing.I stayed with her and patted etc,but she was going mental. In the end i picked her up and soothed her before trying again-hysteria ensued.I then gave in and let her have some bottle-by then i thought she may even be hungry or thirsty-i then put her down when she was sleepy but not asleep and patted her for about another 5 mins till she slept.
Comments please especially cc queen debka it does seem cruel but i cant carry on like this and also when she has her op she wont be able to settle at all as she wont be able to suck!

ledkr · 08/09/2011 11:37

Be very carefull wiggles maybe you should ask a grown up to do the hot bits ala blue peter.

reastie · 08/09/2011 11:57

ledkr :( for dilly. I have mucho sympathies as this is exactly what alice does - she either feeds to sleep or needs a walk in the buggy (just done both to finally get her to nap Confused ). We tried cc a bit but I'm just too soft for it I think. Sure guru deb will be able to advise.

Any teething advice for a pfber please - alice a bit unsettled this morning (nothing major, just frustrating for me and her). I felt her gums and she's got one tiny hard slightly raised bit on the bottom near the front. She seems to not like it when I try to touch it. There's not an actual tooth yet though. Does this mean it's imminent to pop through or can it lurk like that for a while? I put the gel on her which seemed to shut her up a little but tbh that could be Shock on her part for what is this odd thing Hmm

ponyo happy bday. Hope it improves from the early morning bump.

wiggles you should do your big shop online - tis much easier

deb how's buffet going?

Sorry for all those non sleepers. DO you think these babies conspire without us knowing to all not sleep etc together Wink

jane Sad . I honestly often think of you and how amazing you are to get through all that and be so strong (even if you don't feel it now).

delia Shock that sounds nasty and horrible Confused , hope you all recover super quick.

Off to rigby and pellar this afternoon to be fitted for a sports bra to avoid any further black eyes Wink

byronicheroine · 08/09/2011 12:21

ponyo happy birthday - join the 31 club. Last year's birthday was a bit rubbishh eh? I was teetotal in a tent!!

jane cyber hug for you - you are an inspiration to us all. enjoy your boring lazy day!

lefkr with you with the weaning - clean clean damage control clean

I'm also in the knackered club - K has started pulling up, gets to the end of the sofa and falls over. He's also waking at 4ish and whingy all day. What are we going to do with these babies?

byronicheroine · 08/09/2011 12:21

reastie ooh exciting! No advice, sorry, I'm hoping we're teething too as at least that would explain the whinging!

janedoe25 · 08/09/2011 12:56

Wish i was having a lazy day byron I have baby mindee who is thankfully asleep!

Oh girls believe me I am not strong, I just do what I have to, to keep going. Some days it is such a struggle to get out of bed, but I get up and carry on with life, I'm just trying to make my girl proud.

Sorry you all had rubbish nights Sad

Wish i could join you all in the meet up, but Glasgow is a wee bit too far!

debka · 08/09/2011 13:15

O golly am scared now I am the Official CC Guru!

ledkr it is hard, night time or naptime, think you just have to bite the bullet and do it if you want to, and believe that it DOES work. If it was me, I would put her in her cot after perhaps reading a book together, then leave. The Official Way is to return after 2, 5, 10 etc minutes just to check, but I am mean and hard and just left mine Blush (I could only admit to this to you lot, they would SLAUGHTER me anywhere else on MN for that!). IMO it's a bit confusing for them, all the toing and froing. My girls have both got it after one session but they were a bit younger.

It really does make such a difference to your life when you can just put them in bed and close the door and they go to sleep. HOWEVER my girls only really sleep properly in their cots, none of this sleeping in pushchairs or at other people's houses malarky, so there are downsides to it too.

reastie am Envy at you going to R&P. I've been wearing the same badly fitting nursing bras for almost 3 years now, since I was pg with Imy. I've had new ones (think we're on set 3 now) but they're just boring old black and white non-wired ones. I cannot WAIT to stop bfing and get some nice ones. I did LOL at your black eye though Grin

Buffet all delivered, there was some chocolate cake left but there isn't now Grin

wiggles be careful cos ovens are HOT HOT HOT!! [boak]

Dilly does seem to have a cold again Shock very whingey here today am flagging thru lack of sleep, bloody house is a pigstybut im so tired.
Have put D in her swing, she wont eat much and isnt even too keen on bottles,i have a feeling now isnt a good time to do cc.
She is nodding off in her swing now. Roll on bedtime.

reastie · 08/09/2011 15:57

hi all, just back from rigby and pellar Angry - you'd think you went to the shop where the queen none the less gets her underwear and they'd know how to measure you. I got some trainee lady who tried to tell me my back measurement was a 46 Shock . I kindly pointed out I went to their store 3 months ago and was told I was a good 3 back sizes smaller than that and she suddenly changed her mind on what size I was Hmm - even I could tell these bras she was having me try on were wayyyyyyy to loose Angry . Anyway, they didn't have any bleeding sports bras in my humungous size so I'm sports braless for this NHS fat fighters excercise class next week. Great. I might have to chance it online but I don't even know where sells super massive sports bras Confused . Are fat chunky people not allowed gto excercise and try and lose weight now? rant over Blush

byronicheroine · 08/09/2011 16:27

Gosh K has just been asleep on me all afternoon, woke up and rolled around the floor moaning, i picked him up and had a cuddle (he banged his nose on my shoulder) and he went back to sleep. Hope he's not ill. But it does mean that my floor is the cleanest it's been for a while ;)

reastie argh to the bras, they are such a pain anyway but you'd think you'd get better service from the Queen's lot, wouldn't you? I'm wearing imported M&S ones that I have been wearing for ages now. Boring but comfy!

Oh, and I'm in ATHENS if anyone is down this way..... no? We have beaches here too debka ...........
