reastie so sorry to hear about granny xx. My nana has a couple of choice dils along the same lines. Locks in my nanas house are being changed when she goes into hospital when she feels its time, on her orders Shock My nana has been ill for a very long time, she had breast cancer almost 30 years ago and over the past few months she has been getting reoccuring skin cancers.

A's pictures are beautiful, hope sleeping improves xx

In fact hope all sleeping improves for everyone.

I think most of our partners have the twunt capacity on full throttle at some time. Borg hope he apologises xx

40Weeks TV gold tonight Grin

jane did you get your rings?

janedoe25 · 02/10/2011 19:13

wiggles No rings, df did oder his outfit though and we have hand delivered all of the invitations.

We were over our numbers quite a bit so had to be ruthless and chop some people off, I now only have 2 aunts/uncles from my dads side. To say he is not happy is an understatement. I have such a huge family compared to DF so it was only fair the chop came from my side. I so wish Df and I snuck of to get married I really cant be doing with anymore stress.

Hope the non sleepers sleep tonight.

ILovePonyo · 02/10/2011 19:28

Hi all,

reastie good luck with the cc. Like deb says it can't actually be any worse than what you're going through now so worth a try. I'm no expert but from what I've read I think the first night will be hell tough, but it improves rapidly from then on if you stick it out. Really feel for you though. Sorry about your granny, bloody unthoughtful relatives.

Borg erm wtf to your dh, a big Hmm to him, I'd be very fecked off if I were you. Hope he apologises, talk about kicking you when you're down! Shock Another Lund fan here btw, she's fab isn't she.

jane boo to wedding stress, one of the reasons I don't want to get married is that it just seems like such a stress with guests etc. Not long now! Can we have a sneak preview of you in your dress?!

Needto no idea about molars sorry, guess they could come through anytime from now? Lucky dh having a tattoist for a friend, bet he gets them cheapo!

Oh and no pics of the tattoo yet, my arm is covered in bepanthan and quite swollen, will wait til its healed so about a week. 40 its a heart shaped locket with Anya's name underneath.

Bloody hell A is in bed and growling like a little angry dog, its a sleepy noise but very intense Hmm For those interested the lack of nap the other day didn't make a differnce to her sleep, she slept pretty well but still awake for a bit at 4. I think she might be pooing the amount of noise she's making... might go check.

debka · 02/10/2011 19:34

jane I totally remember that feeling, and TBH if I were to marry again I'd do it on the quiet with a few friends and a slap up meal afterwards.

40 yes 2 weetabix are 1 healthy extra but I prefer to split mine up- I had a small slice of bread with my soup at lunchtime. I wouldn't worry about M not sitting up, they all develop differently. S can't roll over, but I SWEAR she said Mummy today and looked right at me. Grin

reastie have you done any CC today? Sorry to hear about your Granny :( Hope she is as comfortable as possible. Has she had a good innings?

MUCH SLEEP to all babies and Mummys tonight. Thinking of you all xxxx

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 02/10/2011 19:55

jane poo, we had the opposite with my sisters wedding, he has a large extended family and we don't talk to half of ours Grin Don't worry stress at this point is good, you'll get it all over with before the 2 week countdown!

ponyo Grin at A, can't wait to see the tattoo as well.

debka Muuuummmeeee Grin

I have put up a few pics of Anna, and yes that is a double edged lightsabre in her hand [eye roll], Bil from hell was over today Grin

reastie · 02/10/2011 20:18

deb she's 90 odd. It appears she's been quite ill for some time but just never told anyone as she was caring for Grandad and prob knew it was something serious. I'm going to visit her in hospital tomorrow. My first trip back to the hospital Alice was born in since she was born Hmm

Where's ledkr btw, haven't said hello since I got back.

wiggles hope your nanna is OK. Btw LOVE the new piccies - cannot believe how grown up Anna looks now - isn't is scary how quick they grow?

Well, Alice now been screaming on and off for nearly 1.5 hrs Confused . It had better get better quickly after this first night that's all I'm saying as this is breaking my heart. Her little face is so red and desperate from crying so much Sad

jane IM limited E things got more and more and more stressful but then in the last few weeks things calmed down a bit and everything felt unreal IYKWIM.

Emski76 · 02/10/2011 20:30

Wiggles, Anna is bloody gorgeous, she looks a bit too comfortable with that light sabre though! One of my friends bought himself a light sabre for £37! he sad he uses it to light his way up to bed at night! Crazy boy!

Reastie, am holding your hand with Alice tonight, be strong and keep at it. She's just confused and probably mad cos things have changed. In a few weeks this will all be a distant memory!
Sorry to hear about your poorly nanna too.

Jane, dh and i were meant to be get married a year before we actually did but we called it off as things got too much, not that I'm suggesting you do the same, but it does get stressful and remember you can't please everyone. It's your and df day, nobody else's, so there!

Hope we all have peaceful nights tonight

debka · 02/10/2011 21:01

reastie you will be so glad you did it in the long run. Well done for taking control.

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 02/10/2011 21:36

Lovely piccys wigs, look at her sitting up on her own! Cutie :)

reastie really hope you are ok and getting through whatever tonight throws at you. Its all for the best in the long run! And A won't remember any of the crying either.

40Weeks · 02/10/2011 22:13

Hang in there reastie I now how tough it is but Alice will be so much happier when she can get herself off to sleep.

Great pics of Princess Leia wiggles

Very disappointed in Louis Walsh on tonights X Factor.

Phone is playing up and touch screen is very slow so signing off now - sorry if I have missed anyone hope we all get some sleep tonight

WeAreBorg · 02/10/2011 22:49

reastie not heard from you for a few hours, how is the CC going? You are very brave. So sorry for granny, hope you are coping okay.

wiggles brilliant photos, N has a force is strong with this one vest. Anna is so cute it's untrue.

deb oh mummy that's lovely.

ponyo but I want to see your tattoo now

Jane wedding stress all part of the fun, hope you have some pampering time booked?

40 I think they are meant to be sitting by themselves by 9 months, I think the HV does a review around then.

Nate stirring, must go. Thanks so much for support re my DH being so irritating this morning. He is usually quite okay, I think he is stressed?

janedoe25 · 03/10/2011 07:34

borg I missed the post about your dh being a twat, I second the kicking nudging him during the night whe Nate is crying see how likes it!

reastie I hope Alice went to sleep and that you are ok. I have my fingers crossed that the cc works for you, you deserve sleep!

Anyone heard from 4forme? not seen her around for a while, Hi if you are lurking!

I have a settling session with the baby today and he starts for real next week, so excited!
Oh did i metion it is my hen night on Saturday! Grin

wiigs photos are fab! Anna is gorgeous and looks so grown up already.

ledkr · 03/10/2011 08:25

Hello all,had askim but not a proper catch up till later.
reastie you of course have my sympathy with sleepless babies,i was actually glad to get away and all be in one room and have a break from the routine,D woke up once in the hotel and we fed her cos of waking the whole hotel, she stayed awake until past 10 altho did nap in pram durimng the evening waking only to spoil my dinner of course.
Gosh it was hot,we spent 2 days on the beach all went in the sea even D,it was lovely, evening walk to the pier etc amazing in October eh?
Dilly still n ot the best sleeper, before we went away she woke hourly then up at 5 etc,she was better last night but ive given up getting excited about that cos it never lasts. How did it go Reastie?Im going to do it if she carries on.

I met a strange woman working in the hotel, she looked abit like wiggles and was indeed Irish but good God she was tres awkward.

"Can you warm the baby food please?"

"Well im not meant to but i will if you dont tell the manager" Hmm
"in my day you never had all this stuff, you mde your own and warmed it in hot water" (she wasnt that old)

"Can i have a rose wine please?"

"We've ran out, would you like me to get another bottle?" hard stare Hmm

"Um well yes if thats ok,thats what id like to drink!"

Slow painstaking walk to the kitchen.

"can Ella have a glass of milk please?"

"Well we dont actually do milk,we keep it in for coffees and stuff but not to drink" Hmm

"Well is it ok to have a glass?"

"Um well ok but ill have to charge for a latte" quizzical look.

Dh-"Yep do what you've got to do" Grin Not lkike him to get eggy.

Another slow painstaking walk to the kitchen

I honestly dont know what her problem was.Do you think she was a Wiggle relative?

Off to peel weetabix off Dilly back in abit.

janedoe25 · 03/10/2011 08:41

Ha ha ha ha Loving the wiggles clone in the hotel ledkr Grin. Im glad you had a good weekend but Boo to dilly still not sleeping.

debka · 03/10/2011 09:18

Morning all,

Glad you had a good time ledkr, bet you enjoyed Weird Wiggles Woman Grin

reastie hope everything's ok

jane wow hen night this weekend!! What are you doing? Hope new mindee is treating you well. :)

Imy weed all over the floor/playground/car yesterday so we're back to sweeties and stickers today. She is currently sitting on the potty straining, desperately trying to do anything for a sweetie Grin

OP posts:
chocoroo · 03/10/2011 09:28

Morning all!

deb Am giggling at Imy so desperate for a sweetie!

Jane Good luck with the wee one today. And I agree with the others, just look forward to your big day, it's not about anyone else!

ledkr Mini break sounds fab, I imagine the wiggles clone only improved the experience!

Borg I think I'm quite like you - my DP is so good most of the time that when he does anything wrong (like coming home late, not getting up etc) it's a gazillion times worse.

40 Agree re: Louis. Idiot.

reastie Welcome home. Hope the CC worked.

ponyo Can't wait to see the tattoo! I'm too chicken for anything like that.

Ok,

reastie · 03/10/2011 09:37

ledkr Grin to rellie of wiggles. Where were you staying?

Well, CC update - yesterday for her 2 daytime naps she settled withing 1/2 hr for one and an hour for the other. The evening was a different story - think it took over 2 hours of screaming on and off before she went to sleep only to wake up screaming at dream feed time so I picked her up to feed her, which of course settled her to sleep Confused , so I woke her up before putting her back in her cot so she got herself to sleep ( deb appreciate advice on if this was right). There was ALOT of screaming in the night Confused . this morning I put her down for her morning nap half an hour ago and she's still screaming like a mad thing now Shock Sad . This is heart breaking but I know now I've started I've got to stick with it. deb our prob is that she keeps rolling over and getting herself stuck in awkward positions in the cot with legs through bars etc - should we move her or leave her? We have been moving her when we go and shush her but not picking her up, just moving her to a better position - is this right? Also she had a really full nappy in the night so we got her up to change it before putting it back - cc guru was this OK?

deb I love Imy trying to squeeze a drop out for a sweet Grin

ledkr · 03/10/2011 10:32

reastie thats how i found cc tbh,im scraed to do it again,Dilly just didnt give up at all and was red and hot and sobbing.I thought id have abreak before trying it again but i am fed up with night wakes but am using the finmgers crossed method at the mo,to be fair tho Dilly doesnt wake as often as A or other babies i am just intolerant! You may as well stick with it now.Have you googled it?There is a good site "ask moxie" and the baby whisperer one is also full of advice from parents who have done sleep training.

jane sorry you are stressed, thats why i didnt have a proper wedding,i find allo vera gel good for my skin complaints including the one begingin with p i cant spell Grin

borg Poor you,dh is a bit like that tbh,but he does help a lot at night so he can afford to be.I am always stomping about at night swearing and acting as if the world has ended so dont feel too bad.

God mil is annoying.
dh grandparents are ill so he is going up to Essex to see them.we had a 3 hr drive yesterday,a non sleeping baby and he has only 2 more days off.He was going to drive down tomorrow and visit in one day but mil had wind of it and was on the phone last night ordering him around. "why dont you come tomorrow (today) cos we are going and you can come with us and come to our house etc etc.It adds about 3/4 of an hour to his journey and extra stress.Im fuming, silly cow.I told him he needs to do what he wants and not what she says, its me left raising 2 kids alone if he falls asleep at the wheel.Grrrrr.Is it me?

Off to bay gropu now with Tarquin and Daisyboo Grin

wigglesrock · 03/10/2011 10:44

Re Wigglesclone - am a bit Shock, anyone would think you were implying I could be a tad arsey Grin

Ledkr its never you when it concerns your pils!

reastie hope As sleeping comes a little easier xx

debka I'd be tempted to squeeze a wee out for a sweetie too Grin

Us too chocoroo Anna got another tooth last night, two in three days, don't know about her but I'm knackered Grin

Deliaskis · 03/10/2011 10:47

Hi ladies, I too have returned from my travels.

C was an absolute angel and very co-operative with our plans and seemed to take it all in her stride (plane, airport, clock going forward then back, weird mealtimes, etc.). She just kind of fitted in with stuff and was amazing really.

Glad you other ladies had nice holidays and boooooooo to non-sleeping babies. reastie sorry to hear about Grandma, how sad, and how brave of her to have been looking after GDad knowing she was probably ill herself.

jane excited re your fast approaching nuptials but sorry it's been getting a bit stressful. It will all be fine in the end I am sure.

Deb and Borg Angry on your behalf re (D)Hs, they need kicking into shape sometimes don't they?

Ledkr laughed at your awkward waitress / wiggles family member script. Some people are just weird aren't they? I wonder how they end up in a service type job. We went out for tea at a local hotel once (that had sent round flyers promoting their new bar menu), and we asked to see the bar menu, and the waitress said 'errrmmm yeah, it's just really basic food'. Which of course was vvv appealing. Then they ran out of beer (!), and she came and told us this, and asked us if we would like her to get our drinks from the other bar...well errrmm... yes. Nutters.

Anyway, off to catch up properly.

Dx

janedoe25 · 03/10/2011 12:31

debka Im having a night over on edinburgh, a boogie (party) bus is taking is over, we are doing a cocktail class and dinner in Hardrock cafe then onto clubbing. Mucho excited Grin
Grin at imy straining for a sweetie.

reastie poor you, it would be such a shame to stop the cc now you have started it. It may take A a couple days to get it.

delia glad you had a good holiday.

ledkr Angry at mil.

chocco wow to the 3 teeth! and Hmm about wedding zumba.

new mindee was goodish, wee souls was a bit perplexed at being left but he was fine.

ledkr · 03/10/2011 12:38

Ello ello.Im going to attempt to put acouple of pics up as you,ve not see ginge since she was a few months old Grin

jane that sounds good fun am a bit jealous tbh.

delias welcome back.Well done to cass.I did laugh at "well is basically food!" This one seemed nice enough but
just made abit deal over it all. Later she told us to move the pushchair out of the way of a massive door in case of fire.As we were doing it she said "Or ill have a death on my hands" Dh said he felt like saying "dont be so ridiculous" haha.
Right pics.

ledkr · 03/10/2011 12:59

Right pics up.Bear in mind that the sea was freezing,i dont think she has any feelings tbh.

reastie · 03/10/2011 13:04

Love the piccies ledkr - she is definitely a ginger isn't she? Grin . also love the fact she looks so laid back and chilled sitting in the sea when Alice just screamed when her toes touched the water Hmm . Btw MIL never suprises me

Wel, we are on nap 2 of the day (she decided she wasn't tired before lunch) and so far 10 mins since putting her down still screaming Confused . I have a horrid headache that keeps sharply digging into my head and the screams are not helping. Due to leave to visit granny at hospital in an hour - hope my eyes will stop blurring from tiredness by then so I can drive Shock . oohhhhh, hang on, it's all gone quiet....just checked on her and bless her she's fallen asleep wonky in her cot on her tummy with her legs stuck sticking out of the cot. That was quite quick but then she was really tired Hmm . Yesterday she woke up with a big red hand print mark on her face where her hand went.

jane did I read you had psosis (sp) or eczema or sth? I suffer from both and when it flares up have to use steroid cream to keep it under control. If it helps I saw a dermatologist a while ago who said use heaps of aqueous cream and gentle soaps. I find the l'occitaine shea butter hand cream (the one in the silver tube) the best I've found, and at night use 100% shea butter on the - it feels a bit like rubbing affected areas in actual butter but it does work. Second ledkrs aloe vera gel being good too. Hope the new mindee settles in quickly

delia glad you had a good holiday a C was well behaved and laid back with the holiday

Lots of teeth coming through then? Still none here

Deliaskis · 03/10/2011 13:20

Ledkr I love the pic of D on Ella's knee. The one of her sitting in the sea is freaking me out a bit though as I am having trouble with the perspectives a bit with the pier tiny in the background and D chuffing huge rather larger in the foreground. V sweet tho!

Meant to say before (and sorry to those with non-sleeping babies) C was hilarious last night when we put her in her cot (first time back off hols). She wriggled like mad and did loads of real proper belly laugh giggles. I swear if she could talk she would have been saying 'oooh it is nice to be in my own bed again'. The wriggling and loud giggling carried on for ages then she just drifted off and slept v soundly until she woke a few minutes before 7 and giggled again.

Dx
