Ooh Borg I want to do a poncy photoshoot too, I have a sneaking suspician it is a bit naff but I don't care, I am also hoping the nice lighting etc might make me look ok so we can have a nice family pic! dd manages a few tiny spoons of food at feeding time but then also just tries to grab the spoon and cries if you don't gave it to her Hmm I'm not keen on babies in jeans either, pil bought A some 0-3months skinny jeans Hmm safe to say they have never been worn Grin

Grin at baby names, I have never heard of Thomasina, wiggs how do you pronounce Aoife?

jane glad baby mindee is going well, will you be having him/her 5 days a week soon then?

choco hope nursery went well? I stalk Caitlin Moran on twitter, and lauren laverne my other girl crush Grin

ledkr not heard of that world war z book, is it good? Speaking of zombies I'm sure the Walking Dead season 2 starts soon...

I am being such a fatty bum bum at the mo, am pigging my way through a big bag of malteasers and had a big tea of pasta and pesto and bacon.

Gave dd some baby bolognase (lovingly made by myself) and pasta - she wasn't fussed most of it went on the floor Hmm Then she saw my pasta and pesto and lunged for it, gave her a bit of pasta and she loved it bloody baby Then she cried b'cos I wouldn't give her any more b'cos it was pretty salty Hmm

janedoe25 · 29/09/2011 19:57

ponyo I only have him 2 days a week. Aoife is pronounced Effie (i think).

If Zoe was here I would have done a naff photoshoot with her, but only pics of her though.

borg Df and I are fine thanks. We are b oth feeling quite guilty that we are not overly sad about his granny. I have been with mil for most of the day, she is taking it quite badly.Sad

Oh I had THE phone call, my wedding dress is ready to be picked up! Grin

chocoroo · 29/09/2011 20:52

Hiya!

Am still giggling at regular intervals over needto and monkey gate :)

ponyo Nursery seemed to go ok. She crawled a lot, ate some musical instruments and terrorised some other babies. I cried before we left when I was telling her where we were going :(

Jane Yay to wedding dress being ready!

Borg think I might be in minority...I love R in jeans!

Wiggles R has one lot of PJ's which are dead cute, but mainly in sleep suits, she trips over the feet when she's trying to climb the furniture though.

ledkr Am well jel of your paddling pool! I have one but our garden is a funny set up and I can't work out how to fill it when I'm home alone!

wigglesrock · 29/09/2011 21:11

Ponyo Aoife is E-fa. Anna had a taste of Olivias macaroni cheese (tinned) during the week, and when I took it off her, she squealed the house down Shock

chocoroo well done on nursery Grin, when Sofia did her first few hours I walked up and down the road for about 1 hour looking bereft!!

jane Grin at wedding dress being ready, soooooo excited for you and df.

WeAreBorg Most of my friends have done photoshoots and the results are usually gorgeous.

Olivia, Anna and I went to Tescos today and A sat in the front seat of the trolley like a big girl eating slices of apple (yes I am the mother who opens the fruit packs and lets her children eat them while shopping but that's why they are so good Grin)

ILovePonyo · 29/09/2011 21:41

Woop to the wedding dress jane, do you think you'll be trying it on every other day?! Wouldn't feel guilty about not feeling sad about df's gran, it seems better that she isn't in any pain anymore? Hope that doesn't sound insensitive.

choco glad nursery went well, aw to you crying, can imagine I'll blub when I go back to work too. Am actually not thinking about it b'cos it makes me feel sad leaving dd at nursery Blush

wiggs I bet dd would love a bit of tinned macaroni, none of this homemade rubbish! (takes after her mum) Thanks for the tip about fruit packs Grin

ILovePonyo · 29/09/2011 21:42

Its bloody 27 degrees in dd's room according to room thermometer, poor baby is prob cooking. Got the window open a bit too Hmm

ledkr · 29/09/2011 21:45

Hark at borg the Drs Wife Grin my bessie mate is married to a Dr.When id not known her long and we are both nurses so when the subject of spouses came up she coyly said he was surgeon, impressed i asked what specialism and was told "neurology" "hes a bloody brain surgeon isnt he?" I asked before we collapsed in giggles.
I did a 6 week placement on a and e Shock and Confused shortly after i decided to specialise in psychiatry, couldnt be doing with all the gore.

Jane thanks for my flowers ya bugger.Smile
wiggs i know what you mean, the hot weather has made me use cute romper suits for the last time as she will be wearing dresses for her whole life but unless she is like Mr Needto will rapidly move away from rompers Grin

Dilly slept better last night but i had a massive sweat fest,my pillow was ringing wet,i came on this morning so it must be hormonal.

borg ive had poncy pics of all mine including the black and white naked ones of me and Ella, they are bloody vile now,the baby looks cute but im post baby fat faced and spotty, they are hidden.I had some done of Ella dressed as an angel they are really sweet, wings and all.

WeAreBorg · 29/09/2011 21:51

jane how exciting, I think I did try mine on every day, great fun.

wiggles you are opening fruit packs? How disappointing, where are the quavers and chocolate buttons?

choco glad nursery went ok. All these big things happening now, like going back to work. I feel really sad that mat leave is going to end, that I'll never spend all my time with N again. Sob.

ponyo I just ate 3 large chocolate cookies from M&S, the big ones. I feel like I could eat another couple quite easily.

Well I think I'll book this photoshoot thing, quite excited now!

wigglesrock · 29/09/2011 22:01

WeAreBorg I save them for the car so I can share Grin.

I'm trying not to eat, I met a woman at Olivias nursery today who knew me from a friend of a friend at school. She looked very groomed [grrr] I may have to brush my hair tomorrow - not happy Grin

ILovePonyo · 29/09/2011 22:08

Grin wiggles

Borg do you know who you are booking it with? I've been googling photoshoots nottingham but not much coming up...

chocoroo · 29/09/2011 22:32

All this talk of photoshoots has reminded me I want to book one for R now she does stuff.

ponyo Might be useful to you but I have a friend of a friend that I'm planning to use based in Birmingham. If you google Jay Mountford her site should come up. I've been told she's very reasonable and her stuff is really natural.

ledkr · 29/09/2011 22:35

wigs i had posh ,mum pick up Ellas playdate tonight andmy house was shocking, food all over the highchair and floor, dirty nappy in the fireplace as had just changed her, baby eqiptmeny everywhere and me carrying naked dilly in a blanket whilst i wore a bikini top and shorts complete with fat belly,i see the Mum jogging everynight she must think im a lazy fat slob.

wigglesrock · 30/09/2011 06:41

Holy Mary Mother of God it worked Shock

Anna woke up last night briefly, she still has a bottle at some point throught the night, was up for 15 mins max, able to settle herself really quickly. She can be a grumpy sleeper, face like thunder when she finally goes over but she was really peaceful last night Shock Still up early but that has never bothered me, I'm up early anyway and I've me and the three of them to get breakfast, washed, dressed and off to school for 8amish so I'd be stressing if they lay in. She's away back to sleep now. Off to ring the Lancet, shift over Dr Tanya and Jo, new kid in town Grin

Of course its probably a fluke but I refuse to let anyone burst my bubble Grin

ILovePonyo · 30/09/2011 07:50

Thanks choco will have a look in a mo :)

wiggles Shock great news! Well done A long may it continue.

dd is crawling about the floor (still commando style) and I have realised my house is a death trap - paper on shelves she can reach, wires everywhere, pointy things near the fireplace... baby proofing soon I think?

got to go she's boo-ing...

NeedToSleepZZZ · 30/09/2011 08:02

Woo hoo wiggles Grin that's fab news!

ledkr love the thought of posh mum turning up just at that moment, why do things like that have to happen?

ponyo another death trap here, esp with wires but not sure what to do with them... Luckily the baby cage playpen has arrived and is MASSIVE so will be putting B in there until he's about 18 I reckon.

Thank you to everyone on MonkeyGate thread, he still hasn't put the flippin thing back on but I'm waiting and I'm ready!!! I tihnk he knows something is up as I keep laughing hysterically from behind the laptop.. Grin

Have a good day girls, I'm taking B to an Andy Warhol exhibition, cos we is well cultured dontchya no? Already hot here..... Smile

NeedToSleepZZZ · 30/09/2011 08:04

Oh jane how could I not mention your DRESS??? Grin Hope it's everything you dreamt of and now you can play dress up (like I do with mine!) a la Monica etc in friends except you're really getting married!!! Grin

janedoe25 · 30/09/2011 08:05

wiggles Yay for Anna! long may it last.
I have a cheeky day off, my morning schoolies are ill and my after schooler is having a playdate, early weekend for me!

Hope everyone is has a good day.

Emski76 · 30/09/2011 08:10

Jane, woohoo for wedding dress being ready! What date in November in the big day?

Wiggles, big thumbs up for Anna! Long may it last!

Haha Ledkr to posh mum! Bet she's always really stressed out trying to look perfect all the time. I'd much rather be having fun with my children!

Off to look at another school for Ben this morning then planning on chilling with the boys for the rest of the day.

Need to, your day sounds very cultured and lovely. I love taking the boys to the museum etc, feel like a good mummy for a change!

Very hot here already too! Have a good y'all

ledkr · 30/09/2011 09:22

gosh wigggles

Dilly slept till 5.30 which is great but we've been here before and regressed so who knows.
needto he will enjoy that Hmm I love the way you say the posh Mum "turned up at that moment" that actual moment is my actual life!!!
I was meant to go into work today to discuss returning,i have cancvelled as Dilly needed a sleep and i wasnt ready and its too hot.How the hell am i going to cope??

I have been very bad and just booked a hotel for Saturday night in Torquay.Im so excited. We are going to have the weekend on the beach woo!

MizK · 30/09/2011 09:25

Morning Feb ladies, playing catch up as per.....

jane sorry re your DF gran x but big whoooop to wedding dress and day off!

wiggles hooray for Anna, fingers crossed you've cracked it now!

Good idea re photos everyone, I think some of those professional pics can be gorgeous, not really my thing for me as I never like pics of myself but def would consider for DCs.

ooh re animal noises, Cass isnt quite there but she can do cuddles! I cuddle her and say "Awwwww" in a soppy voice, then she rests her head on my chest and says "Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrggghhh!" in an imitation of me! It is literally the cutest thing ever, she only does it to me as well, so of course I think its amazing :)

BTW I know I'm late on this topic but I def have the worst baby name ever, none of you can hope to beat it. In Nottingham we have a baby of the year comp in the local paper, so theres literally hundreds of photos of little ones so you can vote for the cutest. Well my family and I were evilly looking through and laughing at some of the horrendous names, mean I know, when we came across a little girl named....... WORDSWORTH-CRYSTAL. For real. My mother then came out with the classic line "If that child's parents can quote even a single line of Wordsworth I'd give them a thousand pounds."

Right better get sorted, off for a stroll in the sun with my bezzie in a few mins, we are headed for the Tesco cafe for bacon sarnies, class all the way me! Hope everyone else is enjoying the sun.

MizK · 30/09/2011 09:26

x-posted ledkr a beach weekend sounds a splendid plan, weather is stunning so make the most of it!

ledkr · 30/09/2011 09:31

My Mum nursed a baby boy named Armani Blu once Hmm

Miz k that is so cute. I am al;so fascinated by the new things,Dilly can clap when i say patacake or clap clap or hooray! She also cuddles up to me and says agh and also waits giggling in anticipation of me giving her a massive squeeze and saying squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze in a high pitched voice.

Just realised what jammy weather Reastie has had for her holiday, she better not come back here moaning Grin

wigglesrock · 30/09/2011 10:18

ledkr great that you're going away Envy

MizK I asked Sofia if she'd like to do anything special this weekend, as Mr W is off, and she asked when we could go to Tescos for her breakfast Blush Grin at your Mum. A friend of my sister called her baby Cordelia and her Mum told everyone is was from King Lear, we knew the truth it was from Buffy Grin

Anna has been making lots of noise lately not only screaming, rolling her tongue etc, if you say kiss she sort of smacks her lips together. She also will open her mouth if you sort of sing, "yummy yummy yummy I've got dinner in my tummy Grin

jane thats a bit jammy Grin

Off to try and hunt down a present for a 7 year old boy for S s busy social life. B&M has let me down and I was talking to another Mum this morning whose daughter is also going to the party and she said she was sticking £10 in a card. £10 don't think so, I'm not going above £7 Grin

janedoe25 · 30/09/2011 16:12

wigglesrock · 30/09/2011 19:33

jane Not long now [eek] I got some of the very same bionicles Grin

Well everyone, may have to rethink my part in the return of A sleeping Grin, she got her first tooth this afternoon, sharp little bleeder it is too Shock

Hope weather holds for everyone this weekend, it started to rain here this afternoon and hasn't stopped - seriously think we may have flood issues!!

Mr W and I are having a snuggly evening, he's away to pick up takeaway and we are having a marathon watch of Downton Abbey, we didn't watch it first time around.
