Ok bit lame but started a nice new thread cos I put the 1000th post on the last one! Blush

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/09/2011 20:40

Ems, N is a healthy weight though so don't worry! Someone I know has a 4 month old that weighs over 20lbShock. I just know that when they start getting more active they'll be getting slimmer and I'll miss B's chubby detachable hands and dimples for knuckles Smile

This monkeygate situation is serious isn't it? Need to start planning a feasible destruction plot, might start a thread in aibu about it...

wigglesrock · 28/09/2011 20:48

NeedToSleep go for it, we've got your back Grin and ledkr is probably spoiling for a fight.

ponyo see I'd have to leave, too much holding in of laughter makes me pee - bloody babies Grin I had to buy A some bootee type things, she is scooting along in the walker and the soles of her socks Blush I didn't realise they were that dirty until we were waiting at Os nursery and I could feel the stares - I feel I may be on a list somewhere!

Talking of which, I was on the site that "must not be named" Grin, and I called a poster snippy, actually what I said was "don't be snippy" and she has taken offence saying I called her names Shock, am tempted to call her a twunt!

ILovePonyo · 28/09/2011 20:52

Haha at snippy, shes have no chance on mn then wiggles! I take dd out in her grubby gap socks (they are the only ones that stay on) and then feel the shame and cover her feet with a blanket Blush

Needto definitely to the AIBU, can't see you being wrong on that one Grin

ledkr love that thread you started, am thinking of my own fabulous comebacks to add (I'm sure there are loads Hmm)

debka · 28/09/2011 20:55

needto how old is your DH? 9? that thing is ridiculous says the wife of toilet-seat-arse-man. Monkeygate Grin

ledkr S just eats what we have too, spag bol tonight. Think she just swallows it all straight down Hmm I've been sweating like a pig today, feel all smelly now.

Vay jealous of all these advanced babies. S is titchy (3-6mo vest she was in today looked massive on her, and she was in a Terry nappy), immobile, toothless, still having 3x naps a day and can't clap/point/make animal noises Hmm.

ILovePonyo · 28/09/2011 20:55

Oh I know what I meant to say - a friend got me the Caitlin Moran book 'How to be a Woman' for late b'day present, it is fantastic I recommend it to all of you! Love her writing anyway but this is a must-read

ledkr · 28/09/2011 21:44

Am reading"world war z" by Max Brookes. Its about the Zombie apocolypse so you can all come here when it happens.
PONYO did she write how to walk in high heels?which i love.

I too would have to leave cos i still laugh like i am at school which is worrying in your 40's. At bounce and rhyme we had to sing the babies names eg "say hello to De li lah etc" I live in a bit of a posh area (god knows how) and the names were hilarious.Flora,Innes,Eliah.Hugo,Daisyboo!!!! Pretentious i tell ya,i was surpressing a smile i can say.
I find sure is the only deo that works too,my sweat laughs in the face of Mitchum. What is wrong with us?

janedoe25 · 28/09/2011 22:20

ledkr I caught a glimpse of brad pitt filiming world war z in glasgow!

needt0 Grin at monkeygate. I might get df one to wear on our wedding night.

borg Grin at N and his chat up lines.

I am fine about my AF this month as i wasn't expecting anything because of df working away, just started to mess with my head a bit when the witch was 12 days late! It means I can enjoy the cocktails on my hen night. Grin

Just had word that df granny has died, it is such relief the poor woman had wasted away to nothing.
I need to ask you all if iabu, Df sis just phoned and asked me to sit round at her house to look after nephew now so she can go to the hospital, I told her I couldnt because I have work in the morning (I start at 7 and up at 6), I have baby mindee tomorrow too. Feeling guilty about saying no now.

Right i'm off to bed, hope all the babies sleep well.

WeAreBorg · 28/09/2011 22:30

ledkr daisyboo, isn't that Jamie Oliver's one. Do you know him - I remember you were shouting for Jamie the other night, did it work?! Well done for the clapping spod Going to have a look at your thread if N stays asleep

ponyo oh I love Caitlin Moran, she is my girl crush, really want to read that book. My favourite comment of hers was that David Cameron looks like a buttock with eyes stapled on Grin. DH likes and oft uses her expression "milk plumped wagga wagga ning nongs" (boobies)

wiggles N has approximately one pairs of socks.

needto for some reason I can't see the suit but can imagine it. No. Just no. Glad the sleeping thing is a bit better.

debka Ah but Sabine was the first baby to sit. You can't be first at everything you know. I think Nate likes being cool and laidback crap at everything

WeAreBorg · 28/09/2011 22:33

Jane oh so sorry, cross posted with you there. How is DF? Glad she is now comfortable and and peace. xx

chocoroo · 29/09/2011 09:12

Gh. Failed miserably at catching up yesterday so will try again...

Jane Sorry to hear about DF's nan. I'm sure she's now at peace and very happy to meet her Great Grandaughter Zoe.

ponyo and Borg I'm a big Caitlin Moran fan too. I keep buying friends the book for birthdays but haven't read it yet myself. I might Kindle it actually. Do you do twitter? She is hilarious on there, especially when X Factor is on. I also love Lucy Mangan although she's quiet now she's had a baby.

ledkr Love all the baby names. Sounds a bit like our baby sensory - lots of Connie's and Florence's there. Is it this weekend your in Brum? Where a bouts you off to?

debka What is this talk of animal noises?! S sounds so lovely and sweet. It's lovely that she's still a baby baby iykwim. R is a terror. A total terror, but cute!

wiggles I have a new floor cleaning regime as I was so ashamed by the colour of R's socks. I bought a swifter thing from Tesco so I do the wooden floors with that in a morning, then replace the duster thing with a couple of baby wipes. It's like cleaning for lazy people!

Emski I sometimes look at the amount R has eaten and wonder if I'm going to end up with a fat baby! She's a right dustbin!

needto I mentioned the monkey suit to my DP. He wants one Hmm

God. Waves to everyone else but need to find appropriate summer clothes to wear - R has her first nursery visit this morning and I feel like I am going to be interviewed. I'm terrified and I don't even have to leave her alone this time!

wigglesrock · 29/09/2011 10:10

chocoroo good luck this morning, just don't start singing any of those 80s assembly songs Grin

jane sorry to hear about dhs granny, glad it wasn't too long in the end. PS You were not being unreasonable last night.

WeAreBorg sorry you asked me yesterday, yup Anna will sit and play with toys, eat cardboard etc on her own.

By the way I had noticed that A is a really light sleeper and quite fidgety when she does deign to sleep, hands, feet always moving. Last night she woke up and when I lifted her her nappy seemed a bit heavy, so I took her to our room to change her (which I never do). Anyway I lay her on the bed and freed her legs from babygro, changed the nappy and whilst I was fastening the nappy, she did this really weird thing with her feet and legs, then promptly fell fast asleep, soundly, more soundly than I've seen her sleep, she didn't stir at all. I don't think she can do the weird feet thing with the babygo on Hmm [grasping at straws]

ledkr its funny I've heard the name Elijah quite a lot at posh parks. Olivia started school and its interesting seeing what names keep cropping up although many of the ones in her nursey are quite Irishy.

ILovePonyo · 29/09/2011 13:13

Hm dd has been very sleepy today, wonder if its the weather?

jane sorry about df's gran. Hope you are ok and I agree YwereNBU yesterday.

wiggles that is weird about the feet thing, are you going to try her with feet free tonight then?!

ledkr Grin at posh names, where I live is a bit rough, its all 'Shaniqwa's and 'Kenzie's here Grin

Better go dd has just woken up, back later...

ledkr · 29/09/2011 13:14

wiggs id have called D Elijah if a boy,the baby at singing was Eliah-Hmm i need a mad Mummy friend, they are all so boring, its like being with the in laws Grin There is a baby group every day round these parts,i cant go to them all can i?
Today is boiling hot,me and Dils are in the garden, ive filled the little pool and we are having a picnic, well D is chucking laughing cow sarnies about.
im so excited about World war z jane,im not a girly girl am i?
deb thanks for the flowers xx How are you all?
borg yep.daisy boo is j.o's baby,what a ridiculous copycat.
Tempted to camp at weekend,am i mad?
wiggs how was your weekend away btw?

wigglesrock · 29/09/2011 13:40

ponyo going to try her in a long sleeved body suit, I think, don't want to just undo the babygo bottoms and haven't got pjs, so we'll see what happens. Olivia went to play group with a Kenzo, we kept telling her she had it wrong Blush There is a name that has been mentioned on baby name boards here as being very classic, imaginative, all that guff and it is a rough as bleep where I live.

ledkr weekend was lovely if a bit dull quiet, kids all had a great time, Mr W is coming off nights tomorrow morning so he has this weekend off too Shock, so going to lie about, Sofia and Olivia have seperate birthday invites this Sat so thats all we have to do Grin Both our sets of parents are still on holiday!! Go camping, go!!

Olivia goes to school with 3 Conors, 2 Ciarans, 2 Aoifes and 3 Caolans Grin and no other Olivias!!

WeAreBorg · 29/09/2011 13:51

Aargh, N getting to be the biggest PITA to feed, he bounces in his high chair and also shakes his head, grabs the spoons and chucks stuff everywhere. I think he has eaten more grass than food so far today Hmm

wiggles odd re feet, let me know if it is that, might try it

WeAreBorg · 29/09/2011 13:55

Oh forgot to say, DH sees some classic baby names at work, eg. Channel (meant to be Chanel), Kai-Cee-Jai (casey jay), mercedes (I know it's spanish but they were not and had named her after their car), I'll ask him for any other classics tonight

NeedToSleepZZZ · 29/09/2011 14:02

Hello all,
wiggles please tell us the so called classic name! Oh and what was the strange thing A did with her feet? I got B some pjs from ebay and they're great, so sweet and easier to change his nappy now that he won't lie still for 2 seconds...
Borg I Grin at the name Channel, just brilliant. I used to work in a special needs school and had the pleasure of teaching a Klyie instead of Kylie as her parents had no idea how to spell.... Hmm
jane so sorry to hear about your df's granny, you are not being unreasonable at all btw. Big hug x

Have started a thread in chat (too chicken for being shouted at in AIBU) called monkeygate. Can you believe he wore it this morning??? Shock

ledkr · 29/09/2011 14:14

borgwhat does dh do?My dh meets some odd names too.I obviously do,i have worked with a Shakira, numerous Kylies,a Toyah,Nikita,Mikita,Shaniqua etc etc.
needto im off to find Monkeygate-i have afeeling it will end up in classics!
Will defo read the pasage borg, have to go snot ridden D is crawling on me grrr.

ledkr · 29/09/2011 14:21

oh yes wiggs how about pjs? What did she do with her feet pray tell.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 29/09/2011 14:30

for wiggs, look at these Smile

wigglesrock · 29/09/2011 14:30

NeedTo Its Thomasina, but over here its best shouted "Tamasiiiiiinnnnna, yer dinners ready" Anna rubbed the soles of her feet together, sole to sole with knees bent and then sort of flicked her ankles Hmm I think she's been hanging out with the dog too much.

WeAreBorg Mr W sees some corker names as well, he now just asks for spellings before he even tries to guesss what they are supposed to be Grin. I have to give A stuff to distract her when she's eating now, extra spoons etc. Sofia and Olivia can be like that, they are great when out and at home with us or grandparents but can be coy and sullen when other people come in - think its a territorial thing.

Borg We've been putting A down on her side for a while now, when she was younger she hated being put on her back but last night when she had the deep sleep, she was on her back!

wigglesrock · 29/09/2011 14:32

NeedTo too cute Grin I'm not ready for my final baby to be in pjs [stamps foot in an Olivia way]

janedoe25 · 29/09/2011 14:42

Ohh I know a Thomasina except she gets called Tam! Her dad and brother are both called Thomas Shock

My morning with baby mindee went well, a few more settle in sessions then he starts for real on 10/10.

There are some kids at the local school with weird and wonderful names too, really makes you wonder about the parents. needto Grin at Klyie.
My friend was supposed to be Aileen but her dad registered her birth and spelt it Elaine!

WeAreBorg · 29/09/2011 16:17

needto will go and have a look at your thread, can't believe your DH!

ledkr DH is an A&E doc

wiggles yes I like to think it might be territorial, he is still quite smiley if we're out. I know what you mean about PJs, Nate just wears his if he's poorly and he wears them in the day. It's sleepsuits at night still, and I won't let him wear jeans they're too grown up!

jane how are the family today, hope DF is bearing up okay.

WeAreBorg · 29/09/2011 16:19

Oh forgot to say, I'm almost at the point of booking a poncy photoshoot for young zoolander Nate, I don't know if these are a bit naff, but thought PFB and all. It's looking pricey though.
