Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
WeAreBorg · 25/09/2011 22:41

emski the gorilla thing sounds great fun for ben, bless him and MIL looking for them all

choc ooh what did you eat then? Hope the G&Ts were double at least?

milk I think there's definitely something to be said for giving all your attention to one child, you can focus and enjoy every little bit

wiggles glad you had a nice time, N is slightly less obsessed with his willy than he was but the hands still go straight for a pooey nappy, we have poo toys which are set aside to distract him for those special times.

Can anyone help, or suggest. Was thinking of a baby yoga class for N, has anyone been? Any good?

WeAreBorg · 26/09/2011 12:00

Oh no! I've scared everyone off! I won't ask any more boring questions, promise!

ILovePonyo · 26/09/2011 12:42

Grin Borg - I have no experience of baby yoga but they did it where I went got pregnancy yoga, and was v recommended (but then they would say that!)

choco I want to know what you ate at Hestons too! My mum is in Balsall Common, don't know if you've heard of it?

emski hmm I do seem to have got confused, sorry about that! Has N crawled yet?!

wiggles glad you had a good weekend, A sounds like such a little star!

Have been having v nice time with dd, know that sounds a bit daft but she mist have been ill as she is so much more smiley and chirpy now than last week. Just spent half an hour giving her banana and breadsticks with cream cheese (a la wiggles) she is now a big happy mess haha. Oh and managed to back herself under the sofa earlier and when I pulled her out she was all dusty Blush

chocoroo · 26/09/2011 13:29

Afternoon!

An eventful morning here. Did some finger painting with R for Christmas cards then zipped to Tesco. Thought the car was making a funny noise but it's getting serviced tomorrow so thought no more of it. Did shopping, lots of frozen stuff and got back to car to notice big fat flat tyre. :-( Had to phone RAC to come and change it, get Tesco to put my shopping in the fridge. Boo.

Home now and catching up with Xtra Factor and TOWIE while R climbs the furniture.

Heston's was lovely. Really, really good. Wine cost a fortune, the food was a bit more reasonable and gorgeous. I had Meat Friit to start which was an amazing pate which looked like an orange. An actual orange. For main I had Cod cooked in cider with mussels. It was my dream meal! Dessert was Brown Bread ice cream with salted caramel. We had the cheese too. It was just lovely. Totally different experience to the Fat Duck - that was a 5 hour, 13 course job!

Borg No experience of yoga but friends who were doing it have stopped now tr babies have got wriggly.

ponyo I've heard of Balsall Common. Not too far from us.

Right. My floors need cleaning...R is covered in dust!

wigglesrock · 26/09/2011 13:54

Hiya, Mr W is trying to get A to say this Grin, Another dusty floor ignorer here!

WeAreBorg My friend did baby yoga with her two and loved it, but like chocoroo mentioned it, they finished by the time babies were rolling.

The gym that S does her gymnastics at, does a baby/toddler gymnastics group, its supposed to be brilliant, so will take A from next month, think they just lay all the mats down and put a few balls out and let the babies go Grin

Ponyo I made some chicken curry for A (just stealth boasting about my new found capacity to follow a cookery book Grin) , used dried apricots in the recipe, took me 15 mins to find them in Tescos, had to get help Blush, anyway A loves them, she'll sit in her high chair and suck on one for about 15 mins, she looks like an old man with chewing tobacco, but they are her new favourite.

Emski76 · 26/09/2011 16:46

Ponyo, Noah is crawling as of today! He's been pulling himself round commando style for the last week or two, then started crawling very slowly and awkwardly yesterday, then bam today he's crawling like a pro. As Ben and I keep saying 'now were in trouble'!

Talking of dust, you should see under my and dh bed. I think if anyone was to sneeze in there they wouldn't be able to see for dust. It's disgusting!

Been to mil's today to meet with dh cousin who's baby is three weeks older than Noah. Now thinking of making tea but really having trouble motivating myself to get off my backside!

Borg, I've never tried baby yoga, can imagine it would be good fun though.

Ok, im now going to make tea, yes I am, yes I am.....

WeAreBorg · 26/09/2011 19:43

Thanks for yoga advice, yes I didn't know if they would be expected to keep still like the baby massage which he was far too wriggly for by the end of the course, will e-mail the lady and see.

choc sounds yummy! Lucky you. Re dusting, perhaps attach a feather duster to R and let her crawl about and dust for you??

emski well done for Noah! End of relaxing mum time for you!

Best go, N has yet another cold and doesn't sound as though he is settling to sleep at all

ILovePonyo · 26/09/2011 21:07

Grr lost a post earlier,

choco that does sound yum, bet it was well worth the money for the experience. I have seen Balsall Common described on mn as a bit 'footballers wives' - weird its where I grew up, don't see it myself! Confused

wiggles was it the chicken curry from Annabel K's book?! I've made that too Might try dd on an apricot then, she had eggy bread earlier but chucked most of it on the floor.

emski woo for crawling! You are going to be busy from now on then... Wink

borg poor N, hope he settles for you. dd just squirms around at baby massage too, rolling onto her tummy and generally not being compliant Hmm

dd has had 2 sleeps today instead of 3, think I have to agree with deb that a later sleep can interfere with night time sleep. Yest she only had 2 day naps and slept much better, whereas the day before she had a late nap and was wide awake at 4am. Bet that was a riveting read for you all Hmm Anyway she was asleep on her bottle at 7 tonight but hope she'll do me proud tonight Grin

Have just spent an hour and a half putting old baby clothes on ebay, I'd better sell them for a bit of cash after all that work!

ILovePonyo · 26/09/2011 21:13

oh look Thanks

wigglesrock · 26/09/2011 21:19

Grin ponyo I wouldn't worry, sometimes I bore myself when I'm on my own Hmm

Yup, it was the curry from the AK book, A loves any of the beef recipes in it as well, but I think pizza crust might be closing in on her top spot of foods.

Still no teeth here but S lost another one today, tooth fairy is officially annoying the crap out of me, especially as she puts her tooth (icky, icky) in a special box under her pillow and I have to fish it out and stick £1 in the box. She knows fine rightly its me, and she keeps moving the box from where I put it at the edge of her pillow, so I have to go searching for it Shock

emski Yay for moving Noah, yes you are in trouble now Grin

wigglesrock · 26/09/2011 21:37

I don't know if anyone is interested but Tesco are selling the VTech baby first steps walker for £17.97, both online and instore. PILS used to keep one for the grandchildren and they all loved it, until Olivia got her hands on it it got broken Grin. Anna played with one when we were away and had a great time with it. They are also selling some smaller VTech toys at a third off.

WeAreBorg · 26/09/2011 21:49

wiggles ooh thanks for that tip, will have a look and no doubt buy it. Grin at S and her tricks. Nate's favourite AK recipes are the chicken curry one and the beef casserole, although he generally poo poos anything I make for him and we are largely reliant on Plum now. He has stopped liking the stuff we cook for ourselves too. He's a bit like one of those cats who know when it's not the really expensive cat food or I'm just a crap cook and DH hasn't the heart to tell me

ponyo Thanks how exciting! Not boring at all re naps, I was just wondering if N should drop his late nap as he wouldn't sleep until 845 tonight and his bedtime used to be 7pm Hmm. He is always useless when even slightly ill so am preparing myself for an all nighter, laptop, credit card, and biscuits at the ready.

Going for a ponder at the walker now....

debka · 26/09/2011 21:50

Hello everyone,

all recovered from the plague now, although DH has gone down with Imy's cold, and o what a joy he is with a cold Hmm I'll get up tomorrow morning to his TV Chair surrounded by snotty tissues and half full glasses of OJ. That's if I make it to morning in bed with the Snorer!

Sorry too tired to reply properly to everyone, but am a little Envy of all these moving babies, S can't even roll yet!

Hope you all have super nights xxx

BTW have a nosy at the SiteStuff thread about the new Thanks- about P6 :)

wigglesrock · 26/09/2011 21:55

debka glad you're feeling a little better, hope dh makes a miraculous recovery Grin. Here have a Thanks and a Brew

WeAreBorg A will either turn her nose up at her food or eat all round her, all my girls eat like camels, even now, they will eat solidly for 3 days then not eat much for the next 2 days. Although have discovered something A actively dislikes - mango, deffo not a fan.

wigglesrock · 26/09/2011 22:05

debka that's lovely Grin

hubbard86 · 27/09/2011 00:00

back again. I do put posting (mn style) on my to do list and never seem to get round to it, so am posting before i sleep on my phone. Will upload pics of the christening when on the computer.
Freya now has 2 teeth, the second came through while she had a stonking cold so i didn't realise(bad mummy). Asda have some sales on toys at the moment 2 4 £20 i got freya a vtech shape sorter rocket thingy that dances, flashes and sings ( sounds rather like a night out in wolves Confused ) for christmas and ended up getting 2 fireman sam playsets and a huge jcb digger thingy for tom on the offer too. I have said i'm not buying him anymore presents but i'll probably give in. It's really hard to buy presents for freya as we have lots of toys already, will probably end up getting her yet more clothes. I ordered some from very and there gorgeous, a knitted romper in red with a white sillouette of a reindeer on, a red tutu skirt with leggings and top with i love santa on and a red velour sleepsuit to wear on xmas eve. I'm really looking forward to xmas this year the last 2 have just been hard work, will be nice just to relax into it. I'm busy crocheting some abc baby blankets as i have 4 to make by xmas. Just found out one of my friends is pregnant with her second and one of my bessie bessie mates is due end of jan, when i see her i can reminise on us lot last year and how through everything we've still come back and been there on the other side of a computer screen for when others have needed us. I know it's been said before but i am so pleased to have found so many wonderful women that support and help each other. (can you tell i'm exhausted) ok this was supposed to be a short one. [ hmm] night

debka · 27/09/2011 06:29

Uh oh, snory pants got the barfs at 5am, poor thing, he's still at it now, I am only slightly sympathetic (bad wife). S also decided to wake up at about 5.30, don't know what that was about, so we're all up apart from Imy. It's still dark. Hmm

OP posts:
Emski76 · 27/09/2011 06:58

Morning all.

Def agree about late afternoon nap. If were at home Noah has his second nap after lunch until 2.30/3, but he slept in the car on the way home from mil's yesterday until 4.30 and wouldn't go to sleep when we put him in his cot at 7. He screamed and cried and rolled round his cot. In the end I sat and cuddled him in the dark and he fell asleep at 7.30. Lesson learned there!

Ponyo, I'm doing another baby sell on Saturday and am hoping to sell lots more stuff than I did at the last sale! Our spare bedroom is full of stuff!

Hmmm, must try making some more recipes from AK. At the moment Noah lives on our food mushed down but the freezer is full of beef casserole!

Hubbard, good to hear from you. Be good to see Christening pics. Xmas does seem more exciting this year with two little ones. Noah is getting Bens old toys for Xmas! I might not even wrap them!

Debka,uh oh to dh having bug. No doubt he'll have it worse than you and the girls did!

Off to my sisters today, then Rainbows tonight! Talk later hopefully

janedoe25 · 27/09/2011 07:34

Morning girls.

hubbard Nice to see you, glad Freya is over her cold. I look forward to seeing the christening photos.

Girls I had another BFN this morning, I'm on cd 39. I just wish the witch would hurry the feck up!
DF's Granny is still hanging on, she had has no food or fluids since thursday. She was singing and dancing on Saturday night!

debka I am going back on SW, i seen pics of me from the wedding on sat and I am a big fat blob!

wigglesrock · 27/09/2011 09:33

We didn't have a great night here, Anna was a bit unsettled, up from about 5.30am, where upon she had a bit of bottle and bleuched it all up on me, although she seemed quite pleased with herself Hmm, don't think she's ill just playing the fool Grin

debka nope A is still waking once or twice at night [shrugs]

hubbard we already raided Asdas 2 for £20 for Olivias birthday in October!! Looking forward to seeing christening photos.

emski For Olivias first Christmas we just stuffed some clothes into a stocking and gave her a toy mil had bought her when she was born, maybe thats why she never slept - sense of injustice Grin

jane five months before Anna was conceived my period just stopped for eight weeks, right out of the blue, had never happened before, I'm as regular as clockwork Hmm I actually think it was when I first posted on MN looking for advice.

WeAreBorg · 27/09/2011 10:08

jane how annoying, sorry about the BFN, hope AF stops messing about. Grin at DFs gran singing.

hubbard yes pics of christening and maybe some of your crochet?

emski good idea re the toys recycling. wiggles you know they know don't you?

Well N was up every 30mins last night, and refused to have my his morning nap so we're going to have to pram it. Going to try buggy fit thingy, haven't tried this one before. Good luck with slimming world deb, I have no motivation at all, have to walk the calories off as can't cut down my eating at all.

wigglesrock · 27/09/2011 10:13

I am also struggling with weight, I shredded but can't seem to stop eating shite, I can feel the weight creeping on, determined to get it off in October.

WeAreBorg hope N sleeps, we are leaving to get O soon, so hoping A sleeps in car Hmm

Ps I gave A my car keys to play with about 30 mins ago so I could MN put some washing on, please help me find them Shock

janedoe25 · 27/09/2011 11:36

borg I have no idea how you manage to get through the day! Hope Nate naps and you can have a wee snooze.

wiggles 8 weeks Shock I hope mine shows up before then! Hope you found your keys Grin.

wigglesrock · 27/09/2011 12:06

Yup, wedged in a toy train Hmm Olivia is staying at nursery for dinners from next week - yippee, of course I will miss her smiling face for that extra 2 hours she will be away, 4 hours of Olivia free time Grin

I absolutely adore her but today in the car we had why do people who are the same colour as us not go black in the sun, followed by a narrative about the size of horse poo and then she asked why a friend of Sofias is not the same colour as his parents, I was halfway through explaining adoption, before becoming absolutely paralysed with fear that the child in question didn't know he was adopted (which of course he does), and Olivia was going to announce it to Sofias whole school. See thats Olivias' gift she makes you doubt everything you know. She is currently now playinng with her vast collection of Asdas own My Little Ponies. Of course she is making the baby horse feed from the Mummy horse "Feed now baby horse, now I said" Blush - anyone know of someone needing a very enthusastic lactation consultant Grin
