Hello all, I have nice new hair all swishy, not that dp could really tell I think Grin

reastie I have messaged you. And funnily enough a (very lovely) lady at baby singing today has a baby couple of months older than A, she knew how to clap, stamp her feet, shut her eyes when the song said to. I said how clever she is and she told me she got some dvds from amazon and her dd knew how to clap when she was 3 months (i think?!) so I will be having a look for them soon. I have been trying to teach dd to wave this afternoon, I'll let you know how that goes Hmm

Borg Grin at just turning up at the wrong class, go back next week and sit next to manicure feet I dare ya!

tad enjoy your evening :)

delia only one weekend together?! That sucks, but enjoy your hols, bet you have a fab time. Don't forget to take some pics so we can all nosy!

deb glad Imy is on the mend, only an icepop she must be poorly!

Hope wiggles is ok far far away from the shops Grin

My v nice hairdresser asked if I was going to have any more children, I said no probably not (too much bloody hard work Grin), unless I feel guilty that dd needs a brother or a sister. She was telling me about growing up an only child and she was fine with it, never thought that she really wanted a sibling which made me feel a bit better. Do any other first time mums feel like that? I always say I've done all sorts of jobs, on my feet all day, dealing with all sorts of people, worked hard since I was 16 but nothing compares to being a mum!

Oh and dd will prob be having her first hair cut soon, was talking to haird about it and might take her in Grin

ILovePonyo · 23/09/2011 20:18

x post - Ooh marrakesh 40 - will be great! Hmm what else can I think of - get taxis as they are cheap but they drive like nutters Grin
early evening see if you can get a table in a restaurant overlooking the main square, very cool watching everything going on whilst you eat some nice food!
if you are an animal lover best to just try and ignore poor animals like donkeys being overworked, horrible but not a lot you can do.
Barter!
Congrats on the new hair do, didn't have mine coloured just chopped but feel much better for it

WeAreBorg · 23/09/2011 22:56

40 yum yum hungry caterpillar cake. I always wanted hedgehog cake, Happy Birthday to Owen.

ponyo I got my haircut last week, DH took N whilst I got my hair cut, and met me in the cafe at the hairdressers afterwards and still did not comment on it. I don't think there is anything wrong with being an only child, you get all the attention! Most bros and sis just fight all the time anyway.

Tad ooh how glam, hope you have a lovely night.

reastie I would be disappointed in Nate if he could clap and wave, he is a maverick, plays by his own rules and won't tow the line Smile. Boasting on FB is a bit weird and unless you happen to have a baby of exactly the same age is of no interest to anyone anyway. Alice sounds very advanced from what you have said.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I have a friend with a 4 week old girl, another with a brand new born, and my new niece, so lots of cute baby girl things to buy

reastie · 24/09/2011 06:44

hi all, just popped in to say au revoir for the week, we are up and getting ready to go. alice has been up pretty much the whole night Confused Shock but hopefully she'll sleep on the journey alot. see you on the other side

40Weeks · 24/09/2011 06:59

Have fun reastie we also had a shocking night with all 3 up at some point

Right, off to ice my caterpillar cupcakes - salted caramel and lime flavour. AF arrived yesterday in all her glory so must try not to hack anyones head off today Wink

tadjennyp · 24/09/2011 07:27

Have lots of fun reastie and here's to a sleeping Alice!

Enjoy those cupcakes 40. Happy birthday Owen! Edward's not quite recovered from his birthday on Tuesday and I must get round to those thank you cards.

Chicago was fantastic, especially for a local theatre company. Velma Kelly even looked like Catherine Zeta Jones.

Have a great Saturday everyone, off to luxuriate in a bubble bath.

debka · 24/09/2011 19:15

Wow you must have all been out having fun today! I wasn't Confused. Actually it wasn't that bad but DH has been an utter twunt, it's because the rugby and F1 have been on and he has sat on his arse all day moaning that Imy's standing in front of the telly whilst I have been a martyr done 2 loads of washing, tidied up, prepared all the meals, looked after the girls MNed. Grin

Made fish fingers and chips for tea and now the house stinks

40weeks is today Owen's birthday and his party? Hope it went well. V impressed at lime and salted caramel :) Can't believe you were up with all 3 boys though last night, that is grimmer than grim.

Cor I'm bloody knackered, think I'll be heading bedwards sooner rather than later.

40Weeks · 24/09/2011 19:25

Bloody hell debs you must be knackered! Am sending you a cyber takeaway and a hunky butler Grin

Well Owens party was a resounding success. The bouncy castle was late but in the nick of time, 10 mins before guests arrived. Boys played on it ALL day and the cake looked fab. Will post a pic when I get on the laptop. Bday not til weds tho

What have you all been up to day then, must have been exciting due to MN absence!

Gotta date with Gary shortly ......

debka · 24/09/2011 19:34

Thanks 40, feel a bit sick though, can I have a naked masseur instead please? Grin

debka · 25/09/2011 06:52

OMG jane that is exciting... everything crossed here too!!! Glad you got to the wedding ad well :)

Well that was a baaaaaaad night. Felt sick all evening and had the runs. Went to bed early feeling sick and sorry for myself when I hear S throwing up. Poor mite, it was everywhere. Cleaned her up and kept her up for a while but she was obviously poorly- was sick a couple more times and fell asleep on me (so sweet!). Put her back in bed but she was sick again about every hour so I had to keep dashing in to stop her choking (daft baby still sleeps on her back and can't roll over). In between this I had to keep dashing to the loo and being sick myself. Just hope we've all got it out of our systems now!

Hope everyone else is well.

tadjennyp · 25/09/2011 07:03

Fingers crossed for you here too Jane! Glad you had a great time at your bf's wedding and granny's holding on.

Sounds like a great party 40! Well done!

Sorry dh is being a twunt again deb. I hope he gives you a break on Sunday.

Actually got to go out tonight as well! Shock They had Oktoberfest downtown and all of dh's work went out and next door (whose dh is also a colleague) had A & E & S for a few hours. It's the first time I've left S with anyone other than dh or my Mum and Dad when they came over. He was good as gold! Smile

Hoping the babies all let you have lie-ins.

tadjennyp · 25/09/2011 07:04

Sorry, Deb, x-posted there. I really hope you all get well again soon. That is awful for you. Much sympathy.

40Weeks · 25/09/2011 07:37

Oh deb poor you that's awful, how are you today? Get some cooled boiled water with salt and sugar in it for you - apparently that's a good home made dioralyte to dehydrate you. Hope dh helps today.

Night out sounds fun tadj glad you got to go

Woo hoo Jane and waddling around with everything crossed. Are you normally very regular with your cycle?

janedoe25 · 25/09/2011 10:11

debka hope you and imy are feelling better?

40 My cylce is usually between 28/31 days, this is the latest I have ever been! Still I'm not counting my chickens though, if I am preg I will feel so bad that I got steaming a little drunk last night.

Tad oktoberfest sounds fun, scary that it is nearly october though!

Emski76 · 25/09/2011 19:53

Hey all
Ponyo, I think the Solihull thing was confused, I didn't mention it and live half hour outside Bristol in sunny Weston-super-Mare.

Have had busy weekend. We went to Bristol Zoo with the pil yesterday to see the gorillas. They are celebrating 175 years by having 61 model gorillas all designed and painted differently and placed all around Bristol. They have been brought to the zoo this weekend to be auctioned off. Ben has been going around Bristol every week with mil to find them all so was quite impressed to see them all in one place!

Today we had a 4th birthday party and I literally spent the whole day running around catching up on washing, cleaning and shopping.

Hope everyone is ok. Did wonder where you were Ledkr! Come back soon!

Deb, poor you, Sabine and Imy! What a rotten time your having. I hope your all better soon.

Chilling out now. Just had a glass of Rose wine and some peanut butter on toast, hmmmm classy!

Oh, and Noah is sooooooo close to crawling. Am both excited and worried as I know once he starts crawling there will be no more sitting on the sofa watching him play!

wigglesrock · 25/09/2011 20:17

Evening all, back from weekend away and it was great, weather held and all 5 kids were noisy a delight. Have to say Anna just fits in with everything Grin We went for a lovely lunch today and she just sat in the highchair eating chips fruit.

40Weeks Glad Owens birthday went well, 4 - I'm sure you can't believe he's that big Grin

jane hello pet, hope dfs granny is still comfortable.

emski A crawled a bit at the weekend, anything to impress other people Grin

debka hope you and S are feeling better xx

Glad to be home, I love my friend to death but she's very worthy concientious and I always feel a bit slack, while I'm feeding the girls chocolate and watching them try and climb trees, roll in muck etc Blush Clapping hands and waving Shock, not a chance of that here, A is still on a mission to stick her hands in her nappy and try and eat her own poo!!

Iamjustthemilkmachine · 25/09/2011 20:54

jane! all my fingers that can be crossed are crossed for you, just cautiously but nevertheless crossed...

borg I didn't want any more children, and if the birth had been alright I guess I would still feel like that, but because it was such a horrific affair I just want to do it again... bizare! no, I'd love to try a vbac, but in reality I think i won't, we aren't rich and will struggle to pay for sky trips as it is, so probably will concentrate our efforts on just the one. I was a happy child until my brother arrived (8.5 years later), but I know plently of people that have lovely relationships with their siblings, I guess you just can't predict that.

chocoroo · 25/09/2011 21:31

Hello...

I'm here ponyo We've been to London to Heston's new restaurant. Twas totally amazing although we spent pretty much all of R's inheritance. Two G&T's were £27! I live in South Birmingham - Bournville so close to work. Where's your mum?

Not had much chance to cat h up, except to note fancy baking, my own name mentioned and Jane and her possible, maybe exciting news.

Watching X Factor and Downton with a beer, am knackered despite a baby less night last night!
