Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
wigglesrock · 16/09/2011 21:59

chocoroo saw you there Grin I have spent most of the week defending Victoria Beckham, but quick hide before we're spotted Grin. Glad you're feeling a bit better, enjoy tomorrow morning.

reastie · 16/09/2011 22:00

choc may I suggest a wind up wallace and gromit table food deliverer thingy for your dhs bday? I hear they are all the rage Wink

ledkr it's really not exciting so don't trouble yourself - you've got in far worse fisty cuffs Grin

Right, off to bed, can barely keep my eyes open

ledkr · 17/09/2011 07:43

Ok,im sure you couldnt sleep for fretting about my night so here goes. She slept from 8-6 then back again till 7,the differences are
a she ate loads-later. b-she had some calpol. c-she went to bed later and d-she had a good nap in the afternoon. I guess none of that may have made any difference but heyho i feel better for it.She still did that silly thing with the bottle at 6 tho, falls asleep but wakes as soon as the bottle leaves her mouth,i propped it up in the end cos she was in bed with me and we had another doze.

What has everyone got planned this weekend,im a police widow like wiggles so not a lot but Ella has a brownies fun day today.
wiggles the wee snack thing made me laugh, can you imagine when i had 3 boys at home?Exh made a wooden box that locked to keep all the yummy stuff in or they would eat it within an hr of shopping.Ella eats when bored and i cannot even go in to pay for fuel without her asking for sweets.

Oh shit i just realised i left my car windows open and its rained Shock

wigglesrock · 17/09/2011 08:35

ledkr really glad last night was better, Anna and I are loaded with the cold. I feel absolutely dreadful and she is deffo a bit moany but asleep now.

Is anyone giving the babies anything if they have a cough?

Mr W is one of three boys and his mum still despairs about the amount of food they ate when they were at home. Unfortunately she still shops like they are all at home. I was in their house a few days ago and she had 2 loaves of bread in the freezer - there are only two of them in the house now and mil doesn't eat bread Grin Sofia would graze all day if she could - cheese, ham, cucumber all day every day Shock She is now doing an extra hour at school - 9am - 3pm and this seems to make her "absolutely starving Mummy"!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day, I'm off to load up on co-codamol and let my parents wipe my fevered brow!

americanexpat · 17/09/2011 10:23

reastie - are you taking the piss about my tat highly collectible W&G memorabilia? Grin

choco - It's this

L did a massive projectile vomit last night. He was sick a bit while I was feeding him so I put him in his cot to clean myself up and it was like a fountain. He seemed much more cheerful after. Grin He hasn't done it again and has been eating and drinking normally.

MizK · 17/09/2011 14:39

expat love the wallace and gromit thing, secretly love em!

choco wow heston's restaurant! Please give us a full review when you've been!
ledkr glad you had a better night, makes all the difference!
Am delicate and hungover today, went out locally for a friends bday then went out with my sister and my best friend and got royally drunk! It was one of those nights where your throat kills from laughing the next day, fab! It was funny cause I have some sort of hideous insect bite on my ankle which swelled up so much that I ended up with one cankle, I was dancing as though I had a wooden leg cause it was so sore, must've looked a state! Now nursing my sore head watching Bride Wars with a cup of tea!
On subject of arsey MNers, I get v shocked that people have such weird attitudes, have rarely met people like that in RL. Glad all of us seem nice and funny rather than judgey weirdoes!
Anyone doing anything exciting tonight? In the mizk house we shall be X factoring, anyone else have a girl crush on Kelly Rowland or is it just me?

NeedToSleepZZZ · 17/09/2011 17:00

mizk I'll join you in the girly crush, she's fab (but annoyingly super beautiful Envy). X Factor Spoiler Alert... apparently Cheryl's coming back for the live shows Shock and Tulisa may be out Shock Shock, or so I've read in heat heard somewhere.

reastie had to go and see what all the furore was on the other thread, blimey, some people really need to calm down! Hope you're not put off posting on there, I love it when one of us starts a bit of trouble! Wink I thought I might be flamed on a parenting thread the other day for giving some common sense advice to a first time new mum (hark at me, the fount of knowledge!) as it appears everyone else either ignored NHS policy or didn't want to help.

choco Have a great time tonight, must know what you had though, with details!!!

expat Grin, seriously, just Grin at the W&G collection! Hope L doesn't give a repeat performance tonight.

wiggs so sorry about the cold, can't imagine how you can cope with all your girls whilst feeling rotten. Not sure about the cough thing other than taking her to the gp if it continues

ledkr · 17/09/2011 17:44

wiggs Hope you are better quickly, tbh cough mixtures are a complete waste of time,id recommend a steamy room and some calpol and drs if temp or gren phlem-i know im teaching grandma to suck eggs here.
mizk sounds like a good one,im wel jel,im staying off the booze at the mo in case Dilly wakes up. It makes me laugh when i read what people are watching cos its nearly always on sky movies Grin I just watched one but it was abit weird.
need toMnetters are odd at times,i always laugh when i read them going on about what their kids eat, there was amassive thread about sugar on weetabix,i asked if they meant crack cocaine the way they were going on.Dilly is having curry for tea with chapatis haha.

She has been ok today just a tad whingey tho,im sure some teeth will come soon.Has anyone else ditched dresses for leggings now they are crawling,i got some lovely ones from primani, kind of cable knit,so sweet.

We had thunder and lightening earlier, and hail, twas awesome.
I cant be arsed with x factor this year nor big brother, not sure whats wrong with me.

reastie · 17/09/2011 18:37

expat I love cheap tat fabulous items like those w&g ones. DH on the other hand hates them Hmm . Sadly he usually wins but he will never take my windup fire breathing nun toy from me Grin

needto Shock to Tulisa being kicked off from the live rounds. Maybe they'll pretend she has v important 'commitments' or some such. I've avoided the ed thread since. Figure it was best to leave it before things got too nasty, so they could either all be witch hunting me or nothing else has been said, but I thought it was best left alone for my own sanity.

wiggles hope you feel better soon. I looked into baby cough stuff a few weeks ago when alice had a cough and can only go with mamaledkr on the steamy room thing. They said not to give babies cough medicine and to use karvol and you can prop up one side of the cot with books under it (which didn't work for us as alice did a 180 turn in the night so it had the opposite effect)

ledkr hope whatever it was that kept dilly sleeping last night works again (and again and again). We are going more and more for the trouser option and not dresses too

Been catching up on the killing whilst sewing christmas tree decorations for christmas pressies - only one episode to go now. My bet's on it being something to do with the politician man and maybe his dead wife was killed by dad larson in his mafia days and he was out for revenge. I'm defo completely wrong though as I always am with these things Hmm

Suppose to be going to a PTA BBQ at my school tomorrow (fun times Wink ) but Hmm to the weather

NeedToSleepZZZ · 17/09/2011 18:44

Ooh, reastie I have a wind up fire breathing nun and a lip balm with a picture of Jesus on it that I will never part with! Other than that its just OH's tat cluttering up the house...

But ledkr I thought sugar in weetabix was cocaine.... I've obviously been on here too long Wink btw, has anyone ever wondered what they're actually giving their los when they unwrap a 'line' of Ashton and parsons? Grin

reastie · 17/09/2011 18:50

I used to have a great mug years ago needto that had a piccie of jesus looking v holy and at the top of the mug it said 'jesus is coming' in big writing then underneath in smaller writing it said 'look busy' . I loved that mug Grin Blush until it got broken Sad . It's funny the useless junk priceless pieces we keep hold of and treasure Wink .

wigglesrock · 17/09/2011 19:30

Evening all, feel shite but just stuffed up, Anna just has a runny nose and is Karvoled up and asleep Shock Going to throw the girls into our bed and watch X Factor whilst eating chocolate buttons and jelly snakes - I am of course a pillar of the MN community Grin

NeedTo Say it ain't so, Olivia is in love with Tulisa, she's not an X Factor fan - I'm afraid she has her mums scunderment of wtaching real people on tv!

Anna hasn't been in a dress since our holidays Blush, its leggings all the way here, I'm a collector of the Asda tunic and leggings combo.

ledkr · 17/09/2011 22:32

Oh jelly snakes mmmmm.I was so knackered this morning that i stuffed the diet and had yummy toast and butter,so i have lost it today. We had a healthy curry with wine and then some chocolate.
Me and dh got hysterical laughing at some woman on tv who looked lkike graucho marx and couldnt stop laughing,Ella was scowling at us which made us laugh more-too much wine i think Blush

NeedToSleepZZZ · 18/09/2011 13:24

Hello everyone???? Where are you all???? Grin

Hope you all had good saturday nights and babies slept well. B actually slept for 12 hours!!! He's still bit grizzly though.

Oh god, you haven't all gone and started a new thread have you?? [paranoid emoticon]

debka · 18/09/2011 15:55

Hey needto I'm here! Congrats on the 12 hours! S did 12 too!

Just been at my mum's for a family lunch. We weren't all there, only 5 adults and my girls, and three dogs but S got totally overwhelmed and overstimulated, she went a little bit crazy, couldn't stop moving and kept laughing then crying, v unlike her. Was thinking of Alice with your mil reastie. Took a good 20 minutes to calm her down enough for her last nap.

Emski76 · 18/09/2011 15:56

Hi Need to, I'm here. Have been lurking for days but thought I'd pop on so you know were all still here!

Well done to Ben for sleeping 12 hours!

I'm having a chill day today, boys have gone to in laws. I popped to Matalan to look for some clothes for when i return to work and ended up spending £150! Trying hard not to eat anything naughty, have managed to lose a few llbs in weight this week!

Hope all ok with everyone

NeedToSleepZZZ · 18/09/2011 16:24

Hooray! Company!Grin

Well done S! Its so strange when they do that isn't it? Sorry about the overstimulation though, it's happened with b too, I think at this age they're so aware of everything and want to join in and fight tiredness all the time. Hope she's okay now.

ems huge congrats on a) losing the weight and b) being able to spend £150 in matalan, that must have been so hard Wink

I wonder what everyone else is up to? Surely they can't have ACTUAL lives? Wink

Emski76 · 18/09/2011 16:33

Need to, it wasn't hard to spend the money, that was easy. It was hard to transfer the money from my savings account to our joint account to cover the credit card bill though!

Deb, well done to S! The little ones definitely get overstimulated. Noah always comes back from in laws a bit wired!

ledkr · 18/09/2011 16:34

by contrast ems i have been swimming with girls then mcds for lunch and now cooking a roast,oh yeah and had a jam/cream scone yum.
Defo a ditch the diet day for me,back on it tomorrow.

Well i have come to the conclusion that i have been suffering from pnd.
I have been taking my tabs every day for 3 weeks and i am a different person.I actually feel as if a cloud has lifted,my energy is back,i dont feel anxious,i have been getting out and about with Dilly without feeling pnicky that she will cry or need something, its amazing. Its as if you cant see how bad you felt untill you feel better.Stressfull things happen and im fine and can deal with them,so weird.

Mum bought D a walker cos we felt sorry for her trying to move in her standing activity centre,it was afiver from car boot. She is really mischeivious in it a bit lkke Anna W,she goes staright to the kitchen bin and shakes it untill it falls over and ive only got to open a cupboard and she heads towards it at breakneck speed Grin

ILovePonyo · 18/09/2011 16:46

Hello all, well have had a nice weekend with my mum but was throwing up on fri night and sat morning Shock gross, felt crappy and it was the first time I realised we mums don't get sick days Wink Of course I had my mum there so she was looking after me and A, relief! Feel better now but god it was grim.

Anyway, have just caught up but can't remember what I was going to say Confused Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends

Emski76 · 18/09/2011 18:11

Ledkr, I'm glad your feeling better. I can't imagine ever feeling so bad as I did when Noah was first born, I feel like a different person. I'm so pleased it's working for you too. P.S. Yum to the goodies you've had today. I had two slices of pizza, garlic bread and ice cream last night so had my treat!

Ponyo, yuk to being ill. I think theres a bug going around. Noah was sick a few times last week, I had the 'runs' Thursday evening and my niece has been sick since Friday. Bloody germs!

ledkr · 18/09/2011 20:21

ems thanks,i cant remember did you end up on tabs too?I remember how awfull you felt. Its as if i was walking around in the dark and just about getting through the days where now i feel happy about things again.I was in the pool with the girls thinking "gosh i feel really happy" I am hoping to re start exercise this week too as i know that will help me loads as well but i literally couldnt drag myself off the sofa some days.

It would he;p if Dilly was more consistent with her sleep tho,2 nights right thru so far but she normaly digresses and hasnt had much to eat tonight so we will see.

wigglesrock · 18/09/2011 20:35

ledkr glad you're feeling much better. I agree sometimes you need to make it through the other side before you realise how bad you actually felt. Grin at the walker - we had to buy a new kitchen bin this week, now I'm not saying that my 7 month old daughter managed to actually rip the lid of the old one but in the words of Olivia "it got broken" Grin

ponyo hope you are feeling better. I spent yesterday and today during the day at my mums, it was great - my dad just looked after all the girls and I lay about with my sister taking the piss out of my Mum in a good hearted way Grin. My mum's a sketch, she runs around after the girls, calling them "the light of her life" etc while her two actual children are sitting there with very petulant "what about us?" looks on our faces Blush

emski congrats on the slinkier you, I was in Matalan last week and could have bought all round me. Now explain to me the concept of savings Grin

Am eagerly awaiting Spooks, still haven't really got over the demise of Richard Armitage but am hoping for a miraculous resurrection.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 18/09/2011 20:52

ledkr so glad things are looking brighter now, I know what you mean when you have that sudden realisation that you feel happy and how new that feeling is. Good for you and long may it continue, I'm on the Prozac too and thinking of upping my dose but that's due to anxiety. Fingers crossed D sleeps through again... Smile

wiggs you described a typical day at my mums too, besotted with her dgs whilst ignoring me. I don't care as it means I get to sleep rest for an hour on the sofa.

It would seem we have produced some destroyers Wink with the bins, just ordered my babycage playpen in time I think.
Watching xf and have strange new feelings towards Gary Barlow, don't know what's going on, I never liked him in my yoof....

Emski76 · 18/09/2011 20:52

Ledkr, I've been on tablets since Noah was 3 weeks ago. I'm so happy and content now, told dh I want another baby, but know I shouldn't. My doctor suggested I never get pregnant again after the PND wad so bad this time.

I dread Noah waking in the night. Think he's teething again and maybe has another cold coming, he was crying in the night abit last night. Gave him some granules before bed so fingers crossed.

Watching x factor and omg the woman who's auditioning now is diabolical, worse than me, and I'm a terrible singer!

I wish I'd got into Spooks. Might see if dh will get the series on apple tv for me. Am loving the tv at the moment, tv in autumn, winter is always good. Lovely Cosy nights in front of the tv! Love it!
