ponyo Shock Shock

I'm just sitting with butterflies in my tum as dh is 'discussing' mil issues with bil Confused . DH in bad mood already tonight following alice pooing in the bath ( Wink ) and then us having cross words about my annoyance of him using swears as normal terms (as opposed to when you hurt yourself etc) in front of alice (I'm a stickler for this one I'm afraid) so hope we don't end out in an argument Hmm

janedoe25 · 13/09/2011 21:19

I'm liking the babies keeping the bath pooing incidents for the men folk!
reastie I hope everything is ok with DH?

reastie · 13/09/2011 21:26

Proper catch up now Grin

tad I'm mopping my brow just thinking of that heat!

Big winter meet up? I'm thinking we should all gatecrash janes wedding as our meet up Grin . We'll get ledkrs friend brian (??) to drive us up in style (babies squeezed in the boot Wink )

choc hope you feel better soon

wiggles are the roses intact?

ponyo go you go you with the walking. I've got my first NHS fat fighters tomorrow [nervous] .

borg the jo jingles class that's near us is on at same time as baby sensory, and baby sensory wins every time Grin

ledkr great for dilly finally eating. I tried alice with a heinz tub of puree for lunch. It smelt rank. She gagged in disgust when she tried it and tbh I don't blame her Hmm

DH has just told me alice is not allowed to go to nursery when i go back to work 'no child of mine...bla di bla' ( needto - sound familiar?!) Shock . I mentioned visiting some just to see what they were like out of interest to either consider them or rule them out, not to actually put our names down and he said no Confused

reastie · 13/09/2011 21:27

jane xposted. All OK thanks but won't go into details

janedoe25 · 13/09/2011 21:32

Ohh LOVE the idea of you all gatecrashing my wedding - I can just picture DF's face Grin.

Deliaskis · 13/09/2011 21:43

Hi ladies,

Have been terribly remiss in not keeping up with things, and embarassingly, have been spotted on [gasp] another thread. Yikes.

So things are finally on the up here. We've all had various forms of the D&V (C for around 2 weeks Shock), including Mum and MIL, which is bad enough in itself for them, but also meant for me that it played havoc with childcare arrangements. Anyway, I think we're on the mend now. It's so nice to have our healthy Claudia back, as it's been hard work while she's been poorly. It's not just been the D&V tho, she's had a horrid cold and two teeth cutting through all at the same time, so I do feel sorry for her, but am also glad that for now, the sun seems to be setting on our horrid week.

Really tired so off to bed but promise to be more sociable from now on. I think about you ladies lots even when I have nothing to say.

Dx

Deliaskis · 13/09/2011 21:44

Yikes reastie re DH and nursery. What does he think the alternatives are? Just MIL Shock?

WeAreBorg · 13/09/2011 22:01

delia nice to see you, poor little Claudia, what a nasty few weeks for her.

reastie good luck for fat fighters! Why doesn't DH want Alice to go to nursery? How ridiculous, they get lots of entertainment and are around other babies which must be good for their social skills. Also get exposed to bugs which is meant to build up their immune system. Obviously you know this, that is addressed to DH

Jane see you at the chapel then!

tad hope Sam settles at night for you. Shock at black widows. My brother lives in Texas and I am always hearing about the scary insects and he saw a bear the other week.

ponyo I'm in Newcastle. I always expect great results after one exercise session too, I'm quite deluded.

ledkr good news for poo watch. Glad Dilly is taking some food. There is a constant rotation of spoons at ours as he always grabs them off me and tries to feed himself, I'm giving him mainly finger food or plonking stuff in front of him because of this and I never really know how much he is getting

Well DH and I have been sitting in stony silence all evening, can't remember how the argument started but neither of us looks like giving in.

WeAreBorg · 13/09/2011 22:02

Forgot to say get well soon choc

ledkr · 13/09/2011 22:11

Oh reastie did the nursery decision come form the chat with bil?
Tbh,Dilly will prob be with family when i work but i cant help feeling sad that she wont be at nursery.I used to love dropping Ella off and watching her run to her mates and the food was lovely and there were tiny little toilets and a gorgeous garden with a road painted on for the cars and bikes.
I cried when she left.
I have stops the trips to toilet but stil feel sick and weak.

I used to take Ella to Monkey Music, with a twee woman with a perm and guitar. She sang songs and the kids danced and did actions and played instruments.Ella liked it untill she was about 4 and got surly. She started to look at me like this Hmm and Confused she is a bit too much like her Mum i think Blush

wiggs maybe A is next supermodel.
choc hope you feel better soon.
ponyo im going to go with peo[ple i already know so im ok,i aggree about Jan too but dont forget i have 2 birthdays in one weekShock

Dh has gone to pics tonight with his boyfriend Grin
My friend is having D tomorrow so me and dh can have some me time.We are going to watch a dvd and eat popcorn and shag like rabbits relax for a few hrs. Its an attempt to try and get things back on track,i cant believe how much things have changed from Dills.

Dilly is driving me mad with her bottles, she kicks, grabs and pushes them and her latest trick is grabbing the teat with her fingers and squeezing it,milk shoots everywhere, she also makes a terrible noise a kind of grunting/moaning sound, tis tres annoying.

ILovePonyo · 13/09/2011 22:16

borg boo, hope you're ok, arguments are rubbish and stony silence is just as bad :( (sure you're right tho Wink) Newcastle is far up north isn't it, oh well not too far for you to travel for janes wedding eh Grin

reastie what the frig re: nursery?! Why not, has he said why? Hope you're ok too and has baby sensory started again - if so why havn't we had a report back on the theme Wink Grin

choc get well soon and think you're brave for attempting buggy fit, at least if I walk I can go at my own pace :)

delia nice to see you and poor C with teeth and sickness, hope its coming to the end for you all now.

Hello everyone else (tadj Grin) got to go to bed now after another episode of the killing, I think I know whodunnit - its the dads mate isn't it?!

Night all :) xx

reastie · 13/09/2011 22:16

borg hold your ground, don't cave in Grin

d glad you're all on the mend and Shock for all those things happening to C at the same time. Btw I suddenly remembered tonight I meant to pm you that story Confused [useless]

Re: nursery, who knows. Maybe he doesn't know what they're like or sth. I believe the only other option bar childminder (which got the same reaction) is mil. I think I might have found a compromise but relies on dh taking half a day off every week (self employed so possible, just less money) and my mum helping out slightly more (not sure if she is able). Will run it past those involved tomorrow and cross fingers madly.

ILovePonyo · 13/09/2011 22:18

cross posts led, 2 birthdays in one week, thats a bit much Shock enjoy your night in with dh tomo you dirty bint Grin

reastie · 13/09/2011 22:21

x posted ponyo todays baby sensory theme was pirates but we were late as alice decided to nap for an hour this morning Angry . We did some snorkelling underwater to that bedknobs and broomsticks 'bobbing along' song and I had to drunk her feet in a washing up bowl of water for another activity - tbh alice and I were both Hmm Confused at the point of that bit

ILovePonyo · 13/09/2011 22:23

Haha reastie have actually chuckled away to myself about that, god its funny! Snorkelling underwater Grin Grin

wigglesrock · 13/09/2011 22:34

reastie sorry but having a little chortle at the dunking of the feet. Roses have been compromised - but just the fudge ones Grin We had a yummy Chinese tonight, we've been very indulgent and have let our anniversary celebrations run on for about a week Grin. Well Mr W is back to work on Thu so we are making the most of it. Sorry things are a bit Hmm with dh, I've done nursery, my mum, mil, Mr W on days off and giving up work myself with the girls. Lets just say I'm a fan of nursery Grin

I loved it too ledkr when they used to toddle out of nursery with Mothers Day/Easter/Christmas presents. Its also where Sofia learned to drink out of an open cup, although its sounds strange she had real issues with this.

deliaskis glad you are all on the mend.

ponyo red herring alert, red herring alert Grin

WeAreBorg any thawing yet?

janedoe25 · 14/09/2011 07:42

morning girls,

chocco hope you are feeling better today.
borg I'm about 3hrs away from Newcastle, but you won't find me in the chapel. A hotel doo for me. So, who caved first?

Reastie Grin at the snorkelling and dunking A in a basin! I hope you manage to sort out childcare today.

ledkr Enjoy your shagathon Wink

delia Glad you are feeling better.

wiggles you are very good to yourselves with the week long celebrations! Enjoy your child free morning today.

ledkr · 14/09/2011 08:20

Morning-read that in monotone self pitying voice.
Yep she had it again, awake from 2.30 till 4.30 just awake.I can defo link it with her having a late sleep yesterday.
Dh mostly dealt with it but me and Ella were also awake.so now dh gets a lie in cos he was actually on his feet but we were stil awake and are up. Confused Its quite funny actually cos she is crawling about and me and Ella are ignoring her cos pissed off Grin

Feet in the water tis a tad strange, they go so ott dont they?
My m and baby group is run by the church so we always have to sing "god is with me when i jump/hop/skip" and every now and then a stern lady comes and does a preachy puppet show about a bible story but they are far too young and just run off or make a noise and the other ladies get all stressed and shssh them so their friend can have her moment,we heathens all get the giggles.
I rememer once on holiday Ella was asked to choose a song to sing, she was 3,she chose "god is with me" it was a tumbleweed moment and we spent the rest of the week being look at as if we were in a cult Grin

Tis my ex Wedding anniversary today, anyone like to drink a toast to absent dickheads?

wigglesrock · 14/09/2011 09:41

ledkr I will toast your escape with a Brew, have a lovely afternoon Grin

chocoroo hope you are feeling better

jane have you mindees today?

Anna was up a bit last night definitely teethy trouble Sad

Am a bit all over the place, dropped O into nursery and headmistress who is her teacher asked me for a quick word, needless to say was a bit Hmm, but it was to talk about her cleverness, feels a bit stealth boastery mentioning it, but need to have a chat with the nursery in a few weeks after the settling in period. Need to go now and stop baby genius sticking her own hands in her poo and trying to eat it Grin

ledkr · 14/09/2011 09:49

ooo wiggs best get over to the "gifted" boards.
That nice tho,she may end up rich.
I feel the same about Derri and Ella dancing sometimes. She just got picked for snother competition and i had to tell one of the mums i couldnt share lifts as times have changed and explained why and she looked bit Hmm at why her dd wasnt asked. Ella however isnt quite so meek "im good at ballet arent i mummy?"
"yes Ella"
"im better than so and so arent i?"
"i dont know Ella" Blush

wigglesrock · 14/09/2011 09:55

ledkr Christ, no its a bitchfest slightly strange over there, I nosyed at a thread over there a few months ago Shock, I thought G&T was a drink Blush

chocoroo · 14/09/2011 10:01

Morning,

wiggles Am jealous of the Roses. I may have already ploughed my way through the goody bag I got from work last week. I feel a trip to the staff shop might be in order soon! Although maybe you should have saved some of the fudges for O if she's going to keep you in your old age!

ledkr Boo to your night. I was shivering and sweating my way through another sleepless night but R also caused chaos by sitting up in her cot and rattling the bars at 5am. I swapped places with her.

jane Is your hen do coming up soon? What's the plan?

reastie baby sensory here today...apparently we have some messy play. I'm still feeling poo but am going to take R anyway as it tires her out and I need her to have a big nap this afternoon. Oh and yOur DP is being silly. Unless he has suddenly come up with a massive money making scheme so you don't have to work!

Borg hope DP caved first ;)

Right. Best go and make R nap before we need to go out. Have fun days everyone!

janedoe25 · 14/09/2011 11:44

chocco I have just booked my hen night, so excited! It's 8th oct, having a cocktail class and dinner in hard rock cafe, clubbing in Edinburgh, i also booked a boogie party bus to take us there!

wiggles just the schoolies today, so im a free woman until 3pm! Imagine you with a genious daughter!

ledkr Hope you are managing to stay awake today.

Deliaskis · 14/09/2011 12:47

So, in a more valiant attempt to stay somewhat abreast of other posts:

Ledkr LOL (sorry if that's frowned upon) at your story of the tumbleweed god squad moment with Ella.

reastie am [schock] at your DH suddenly announcing that 'no child of his' is going to nursery. Grrrrrrr on your behalf.

wiggles bows in deference to parent of possible G&T baby. Ledkr at least Ella isn't 'stealth' boasting, it's just actual boasting, which is, I think, better as is at least honest?

jane can't believe how quickly your nuptials are approaching, that went fast!

Borg are you and DH speaking yet? Who won?

Sorry to all the poorly people, there's some nasty viral sh*t going around at the moment isn't there.

C had a completely 'normal' day yesterday, like having my little girl back, all smiley again etc. DH was worried that one bout of D&V would permanently render a smiley girl into a sad one. Looks like he might have been being a bit of a drama queen.

Dx
