Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
wigglesrock · 11/09/2011 21:27

ponyo I read that thread Grin I can confirm the James Nesbitt nipping into the loos for a little pick me up as true, and Zara Phillips is lovely and quite fond of a night out Grin.

reastie Poor you, I have been on the receiving end of a golf ball - its vvv sore.

jane have you battened down the hatches Grin

Went to party, god 7 year olds are a noisy bunch Shock, A had a fab time in soft play, she hadn't been to one before and was playing away.

WeAreBorg · 11/09/2011 21:37

Evening all

ponyo can't comment on the non sleeping babies, mine has never slept! I've been watching the danish killing too, it's so engrossing isn't it? I love Sarah, she reminds me of me wearing the same jumper for 2 weeks!

Jane any port in a storm eh? Hope you and DF get to spend some "quality time" together.

mizk nice you can join me in the non sleepers club , it's fun, sleep is overrated Hmm. Yay for bath poo!

lekr pics of hairdo please, if I know someone glam I might absorb some glam-ness. DH being a pain, I like your punishment style, sounds like you always get the upper hand!

reastie you seem prone to amusing accidents, although to be fair a head injury is not that amusing!

need to congrats on the genius baby Grin, and debka on the babble, I remember being told by a speech and language person that early speech was a sign of great intelligence/gifted. Needless to say, Nate is not babbling! He used to "say" lots of amusing sounding words like cock and piss but never says anything interesting now Confused

Nate is scooting along backwards, but keeps ending up under the telly, then gets really frustrated. He is trying to go forwards but gets on his hands and feet (not knees!) which is making things really hard for himself! I don't think I need to worry about Oxbridge fees for this one.

wigglesrock · 11/09/2011 21:41

WeAreBorg Ah but non-sleeping babies are a sign of super smartness. Don't throw me out of the club just yet, think Anna was very miffed that she missed out on her news catch up at 3am Grin

reastie · 11/09/2011 21:54

Just before I go to bed could I just make it clear that my golf injury was actually to the leg not head, so all brain cells still fully in working action Confused . It was bad enough to the leg though - goodness knows what it would have been like to the head Shock

40Weeks · 11/09/2011 22:42

Ah poor reastie that will bruise up nicely for you

And can I just add that on the 2 nights M has slept through that the other 2 have woken up so I have not in fact slept through. So don't hate ms Grin

Can't find celeb thread, am rubbish at locating threads

janedoe25 · 12/09/2011 07:32

ponyo Im loving the celeb thread!

I am in awe of those of you who have insomniac babies, I would be a complete gibbering mess!

Don't know how i missed your fight with a golf ball reastie, ouch! Hope you are ok. I now have some mad images of you and DH running around the golf course!

ILovePonyo · 12/09/2011 09:17

Ok dd has been awake from about 6, got her up at 6.45 for a bottle and she went back to sleep at 8 on me and is still asleep now?! This is truely bizarre, don't know whether to wake her/leave her... strange baby Confused

Anyway, reastie golf ball on the leg sounds v painful, agree you'll have a nice bruise soon.

jane the threads great isn't it! Am Shock about DB.

Borg totally agree about Sarah from the killing wearing the same jumper all the time, not just me that noticed that then! We ware on episode 6 now, its getting good. Bless N crawling on his hands and feet, that is a very cute image :)

40 I will go and look for that thread now and link for you.

Where is everyone, I want to know how the other babies slept!

ILovePonyo · 12/09/2011 09:18

for 40

debka · 12/09/2011 09:30

Hellooooo ponyo!!

S slept till 7. She's back in bed now, went down at 9. Had to turn her over though, she's learnt to turn over in bed. All quiet here as Imy's with my mum.

reastie ow ow ow ha ha ha

ledkr · 12/09/2011 09:47

Dilly reverted to type and woke up at 4.30,dh tried to settle her but then gave her some milk-i think he's trying no to be homeless-of course i was awake the whole time but then felt obliged to get up this am with both of them whilest he has a lie in grrrr.
I have 2 baby groups today but i also seem to have the shits too so dont think ill be going, maybe i should send dh as a punishment for his apathy Grin

Celeb thread is hilarious.

debka · 12/09/2011 10:35

Just saw delia on another thread and thought she's not been on here for a while- you ok girl?? :)

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 12/09/2011 10:36

WeAreBorg room in the no-sleep club for another one? Grin

Anna reverted back to type - up at 1.30am for a bottle, back down at 2.30am - up for the day at 6.45am, she is asleep now but that doesn't really suit as she has hospital appts soon.

Mr W got me photoframes which I stood in front of and commented on in a very loud voice and some books for our anniversary. Silly man, always buys me books for our anniversary not realising that it encourages me to go to bed early and alone Grin

ledkr oops, hope you feel better soon.

ponyo I heard the nicest story about DB once from someone who was a trainee footballer (I know thats not the right term Grin) and I always cling to it when I hear dirty dick rumours Shock

ILovePonyo · 12/09/2011 10:58

Helloooo deb! A sleeps much better on her front now so I leave her when she flips over.

ledkr thank for sharing Grin Hope you get better soon, go on send dh to the groups!

wiggles Grin at dirty dick rumours, I bet he is a nice bloke but maybe not to VB? Why does A have hospital appt, sorry if you've said beofre but can't remember Blush Hope it goes ok.

Its really windy here, want to go out for a big walk but don't want to get blown away!

dd woke up not long after I posted and had a massive bowl of banana porridge and is now yelling in her walker better go...

ledkr · 12/09/2011 11:12

Still got it,ring sting to follow wiggles i should think.
I may go back to bed.I can go to baby groups with this.

I havent turned Dilly since she was about 4 months and frist rolled over, she sleeps on her tummy with her little bum in the air,its so sweet.

wigglesrock · 12/09/2011 11:16

ledkr arse like a chewed orange Grin, you have my symapthies, go back to bed.

Ponyo A has to go for a final hip check, she was supposed to be "signed off" at her first appt, but had phone call from nurse asking me to come back for a final check. Not worried but still.... Although not sure how I'm going to get her into the car with the bloody wind Hmm

chocoroo · 12/09/2011 12:42

Marking my place while I catch up

ledkr · 12/09/2011 15:21

I had a coffee about an hr ago and its still iny belly so may have stopped now,i thought my tonsils would come out this morning Grin
Why pay for a high colonic?

americanexpat · 12/09/2011 16:33

I've always left L on his front - I'm pretty sure I posted to ask if it was OK too. [pfb emoticon] He sleeps like Dilly with his bum in the air. Grin

We toured a nursery today. It was a bit smaller than I expected BUT it's in the middle of renovations to the baby room to go from 4 to 12 babies. The woman said we're almost certainly guaranteed a place if we get on the list now so we're on the waiting list. It's almost £20/week cheaper than the other nurseries too. We still have 2 more to see but at least we'll have a place at this one if we want it.

Hope wiggles and jane haven't blown away. Hatches firmly battened here.

janedoe25 · 12/09/2011 16:47

Bugger just lost a post!

ledkr glad the bum gravy is away!

american great news about the nursery.

wiggles how did the appointment go?

My midees got picked up early today yay!Grin
ooft it's blowing a gale here now, hope Zoe's tree stays put!

WeAreBorg · 12/09/2011 17:09

ledkr thanks for the update re your bowel situation, hope the coffee stays Smile

expat glad you found a nursery, a lot of them expect you to have signed them up when they are still a twinkle in their dad's eye

wiggles you are always welcome in the non-sleepers club, you have honorary lifetime membership owing to the famous non-sleeper!

I wondered about trying N to sleep on his front, he is always completely motionless in bed. When he was tiny he used to shuffle along on his back and end up stuck at the top of his travel cot but he always stays put now

reastie · 12/09/2011 18:21

jane I bet that tree has strong strong roots to keep it in place forever

ledkr hope the, erm, evacuation has finished Confused

Just trying to find a new class for Alice and I to start - there's a music one but its at 11:10 and that's sort of her nap time so not sure how much it'll work. It's also £6.50 a class, which for half an hour seems mighty pricey for sitting around singing some songs. Anyone done monkey music to recommend (or not)?

Just tasted some apple juice my parents had made (60 bottles worth Grin ) from all the apples in their ochard - twas delish Grin

wiggles shame the sleep all night didn't last longer Hmm

Been really windy here today too

Off to try on sports bras which have arrived.....

wigglesrock · 12/09/2011 18:43

ledkr glad you're feeling better

reastie I did Jo Jingles with Olivia, we both hated it Grin, the teacher although lovely was very jolly and "Blue Petery" I couldn't be having that.

WeAreBorg Anna sleeps on her front, so did Sofia. A is also completely motionless in it, apart from at 2am when her eyes pop open Grin

jane fingers crossed for Zoes' tree, but it'll be fine x

Appointment went ok, the radiographer was happy enough with As hips, although she may have been trying to get rid of us as A was rolling around and grabbing and eating the paper sheet she was lying on Blush Although when we went to see the staff nurse, she didn't think A was still enough for the x-ray (no shit Sherlock- she's 7 months Hmm), so she is going to pass on the x-ray to the Consultant and we might get called back. I had the same thing with O, but she also had some other pointers that A hasn't got. We were only referred because she was breech at 20 weeks.

Both the radiographer and nurse commented on how long her legs are, I seriously thought the nurse was going to call in the student doctors for a nosy Hmm I could see her looking at me think she's a bit of a short arse, little did she know the hobbit like proportions of Mr W, between that and the big blue eyes I'm afraid her parentage may be a bit of a joke from now on.

ledkr · 12/09/2011 18:45

No wind reastie i wouldnt dare risk it Grin
Well i know you are all waiting to know so here it is,itis till here. I am starving but it all goes thru me,i have some imodium but it seems wrong to stop it iyswim.
Dilly has been a right misery too,dh has kindly gone to play footy, can you imagine me doing that? He said "just leave the kitchen to me! glad he said that cos i was planning on doing it all myself whilst clenching my buttocks haha.
I hope you have all managed not to get blown away today, tis well windy here (outside)

I wonder what our babys will do tonight Hmm

reastie · 12/09/2011 18:51

wiggles Grin for the long anna. I wonder where she gets it from then Hmm maybe the milkman Wink Alice does the same thing when lying on those paper sheets btw - paper and remote controls are her fave thngs Grin . This is a bizarre question but how long are annas legs? I'm interested now as I'm convinced alice is a shortie baby. She was in something like 2nd or 9th centile for length according to her nots at the pn check but I never believed it, always thought they got it wrong and she's taller than that. Can you, erm, measure her legs so I can laugh at alice short legs compare Grin

WeAreBorg · 12/09/2011 19:15

reastie Grin at the leg measuring. I always wonder if Nate has freakishly short arms as I always have to turn up his sleeves, but his toes have always curled in in sleepsuits.

wiggles sounds a bit of a faff for anna, I think surely if she is too wriggly for the x-ray then her hips are fine Smile

ledkr good luck for the clenching

jane missed the tree post, hope Zoe's tree is okay
