wigglesrock · 10/09/2011 22:00

reastie it was very windy here today but is supposed to be bad tomorrow esp tomorrow night. Has dh said why he is not interested? I know me and Mr W have gone through "dry patches" over the past 20 years or so, but have always got on track. I found it difficult to partake in maritals Grin if we don't feel connected in every day life. When are you going on holiday? Try to resist Fringe until you can watch a bunch together - you can never have too much Pacey Grin

ponyo Shock and Grin at your dp at nursery. Can you claim working tax credits for the nursery? Thank you - my top is actually a Twilight/ Cullen baseball top Blush , it was a present and a M&S cardigan - God help me, I have no style, I have put my baby in a pimp coat!!!

ledkr hope D is asleep, A is up on her knees, but can't get her elbows to work Grin, although the little madam kept trying to pull herself up to stand in the bath tonight.

reastie · 10/09/2011 22:09

no wiggles he didn't say why he's not interested, just said it's hard with alice, which is true but I manage to, ahem, sort him out. He just seems to approach the whole thing like a chore and that he'd rather do other things Shock which is unlike him [sigh].

Off to bed now, yawn

wigglesrock · 10/09/2011 22:18

reastie sweetheart, you know what I'm going to say to you about sorting him out without being sorted out yourself! What about trying to get it organised at a different time of the day rather than at night when A is with you? I know it sounds a little unromantic but try and schedule it. The longer you leave it the harder it can get < Christ I am severly trying to avoid making jokes at my own puns> Something like this can lead to resentment and then it can be more difficult to get back on track.

Night, night, see you tomorrow Grin.

WeAreBorg · 10/09/2011 22:44

Evening,

Grin at wiggles puns, also Grin at the fact that 40 bothered to change out of her pyjamas........into her pyjamas! Brilliant.

reastie can't offer help, no interest from DH here either, we have not DTD since last November Shock. I think I'm going to try to go for the full year to make it more embarrassing. We'll have to do it once more though, as we both want another baby. At least my offspring won't be mortified by their parents sex lives!

wiggles coat looks fine to me, but then I don't really know what girl babies are meant to wear.

Ledkr oh no, can't believe Ds op has been postponed, how rubbish.

Jane ooh 10 weeks, getting close. I have 2 losing weight tips that worked for me, one is not practical at all - go on a high altitude trek (sorry, but it really worked!), the other was British Military Fitness - everyone who did it lost weight, and the instructors are fit. In uniform. Nice. I have no motivation, the only way I can ever lose weight is to exercise like mad as I love cakes me!

ponyo I too thought you were getting anya a tattoo, but for some reason didn't think much of it Confused

Nate being lovely of late, he likes bouncing up and down on his bum when he sits, and hanging off the side of his high chair like he's a naughty boy at the back of the school bus. He laughs at all my jokes too, what a star.

ledkr · 10/09/2011 23:17

Thanks all,its so lovely having you lot,its like Dilly has 20 other Mums.
She settled with shsh pat at 10 little bugger,it could well have been the crawling and wanting to try it out all night.
wiggs dilly crawls over to the sofa or tv table and looks up at it as if to say " that looks handy for standing up"
Just had massive steak and sw chips nom nom i love my diet.
we are borg i know i need to exercise but my motivation is terrible at the mo,i know it will improve with exercise but just cant do it,i have always been very active, baby at 43 has knocked me sideways i think.
Right off to read my zombie book, you will thank me when the apocalypse strikes cos ill know what to do Grin

debka · 11/09/2011 07:06

Morning everyone, been lovely reading all your chattiness this morning, you're a lovely lot Smile DH was Hmming at me last night when he mentioned this hurricane that's meant to be bad in Scotland and NI and I said Shock hope wiggles and jane and grannyapple and expat will be ok!

borg it's been over a year for us and not regular since before Imy was born. Can't wait till they're a bit older and we can get back in the saddle!

ledkr I can't believe they can do that about the op, I'd make a proper big fuss if I were you.

Dreamt last night that S crawled, she's a bi rubbish ATM, doesn't crawl, pull herself up or roll but she DOES sat dadada now [proud]

Well we had our meal out for our anniversary last night and it was lovely. Realised we hadn't been out somewhere nice, just the 2 of us in the evening for 3.5 YEARS, we used to go out all the time! It was really busy, my sis recommended, I'm glad I booked a table. I had my pudding, triple chocolate cheesecake nom nom nom Grin or nummy nummy in tummy tummy as my girl would say! Then S rewarded me by not waking till 6 and then going back off till 6.45!!! Yay!

40Weeks · 11/09/2011 07:09

Mikey slept through the night! This is only the second time he has done it (not in a row) and both nights one ofthe other boys woke up! Still, go Mikey.

Just looked at your photos wiggles, love the pimp coat - it's a great pic of you both.

I have zero motivation for losing weight too, I might join my local slimming world to shame me into public weekly weigh ins.

reastie sorry to hear about the maritals. I always find I get a bit down if we have a dry spell, it must be the sex addict in me Wink hopefully it's jus a phase. What are the sleeping arrangements now?

ponyo I have a tattoo that I don't really like so wanted to get it tattooed over, not sure it's possible though, would need a clever tattooist. Deffo need pics from you and Jane

Borg Nate sounds adorable, they are heart melting aren't they

wigglesrock · 11/09/2011 08:37

40Weeks sssshh but so did Anna Grin. The joy of digital cameras, I take about 100 photos , then delete the ones I hate. Of course S&O looked at the photo I posted and both said "that doesn't look like you" Shock

debka glad you had a nice night and yummy dinner.

Weather yucky, we are heading to a party later so all just hanging about in our pjs until then - a la 40

40Weeks · 11/09/2011 08:50

Sorry debka x posted, your meal out sounds yummy. I had a cheesecake dessert on fri night, white choc and ginger it was unbelievably good.

Have fun at your party wiggles and co

ledkr · 11/09/2011 09:02

Psssst D slept until 7.40 Shock dont tell anyone tho. I think her insomnia may have been down to the sugary rusk i gave her at 6! Going to give it earlier tonight, maybe half mixed with some fruit, dont want any further sugar rushes.
Me and dh are sat in bed whilst she crawls around the bedroom floor.

Would you all stop talking about food,im on a diet.

ledkr · 11/09/2011 09:12

reastie sorry i skimmed past your post. I am standing behind wiggs to say that is not very reasonable. If he doesnt want to do it then he can sort himself out, what a cheek. I wouldnt wine about it either id just act disinterested yourself, that will learn him Grin
I can highly recommend the rampant rabbit too hehe.

Are you sleeping together again? cos that will help,if its any consolation me and dh only manage a couple of times a month and we used to be randy sods,it is hard with a baby cos i just want to sleep in case she wakes up and also feel a bit mauled by the end of the day.

I do remember dh didnt want it when i was pg tho, made me feel very unattractive.

WHAT DI PIL DO? SHARE FGS.

debka · 11/09/2011 12:14

reastie I may have a fellow Highly Strung Baby. Just left her in creche at church and she managed half an hour before descending into a red faced screaming frenzy! Had to pick her up and bring her home- she fell asleep straight away in the car, even though she'd only woken up from a 1.5hr sleep only just over an hour before! Shock How was Alice the next day after her overstimulation?

WELL DONE mikey and anna for sleeping through and dilly for letting her mummy sleep in a bit. :)

ledkr with you on the mauled feeling, I have one bfing and the other clambering all over me most of the day, last thing you want is more pawing sometimes.

Caught a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror today- ledkr I am definitely joining you in the diet! Shock Grin

NeedToSleepZZZ · 11/09/2011 16:16

afternoon everyone,

reastie so sorry you're having this problem, i'm with wiggs and ledkr though on this. i feel guilty for not being interested at the moment, oh and i have only done it twice since Ben came along and i wasn't really into it then Blush i think it's the whole sleep thing though so if you can schedule it for another time then that would be better.

ledkr what's the plan for D's op? Can't believe they would do this to you, just a thought but when my nan was refused personal care at home (my mum and i were completely worn out from looking after her in shifts for 2 years) we threatened to go to the papers and lo and behold they suddenly changed their minds and we had help the next week. It's awful but sometimes it's a case of who shouts loudest gets treated first.

jane can't believe it's only10 weeks!!!!! Must go and look at pic of THE DRESS Grin

wiggles sorry but Grin at A's coat, only she could carry it off and look so sweet!

Well, I have had to postpone shredding due to a knee injury. Feel so rubbish about it but will be back doing it for all of October. I'm not allowed to do any sudden impact moves so will carry on with the sit ups and punches etc but that's it. SO sorry Jane, I promise next month I'll do it come hell or high water Wink
Baby news, um, not much, still teething (top 2 now I think) and trying to flippin walk ALL. THE. TIME. No sign of crawling but he is saying dada now [hurt pride emoticon] and what sounded like Charles De Gaulle the other day but I could be wrong Wink

americanexpat · 11/09/2011 16:48

reastie - I'm standing behind ledkr and wiggles. It's difficult with a baby but if you can find time to take care of him then you can find time for both of you. Not returning the favour is putting him into the twunt category.

milkmachine - I've just cast on a jumper for myself but I'm such a slow knitter that it'll probably be finished around Christmas. I also have fabric and patterns to make a shirt for DH and a dress for myself but I hate cutting so I've been putting it off. What have you made for P? I'm going to make a shirt for L, just have to find a pattern.

Well done to the babies who started sleeping through! L decided it's better to be up twice each night. Hmm

DH and I had a rather boring anniversary, got a bottle of wine and watched Paul. I made him a cherry pie and ice cream, homemade crust, lattice top, the whole nine yards. He gave me a Kindle and now I'm tempted with instant gratification from Amazon...

reastie · 11/09/2011 16:50

I' sorry but needto I Grin at the charles de gaulle comment. Obviously highly intelligent and researching French history already Wink . Poor you with the knee - be v careful with it and hope it gets better soon - damn that Jillian causing you such pain. I'm still pn dvding here. I can't do all of the hardest version of everything but what I do do I'm feeling stronger at.

deb I find it better to just not look in mirrors and be blissfully unaware Wink

Thank you much for your kindness re lack of dtd. Tbh dhs response was more upsetting than the lack of dtd - sort of 'oh well, i'll try and see if I can fit something in if i can be bothered ' and trying to think up excuses. This has happened several times since Alice and it's always the same - gets better for a while and then back to same old same old. I was scheduling it in for us but gave up when dh spent half the allocated time faffing about doing something completely different and then alice would wake up Shock [sigh] . Think if he was interested he would make time though Confused .

Oh - please don't laugh, but today I got hit by a golf ball Shock Sad . We were walking in a park that also has a golf course and took a wrong turn and ended up cornered and stuck on this golf green and we tried escaping but couldn't find a way out and then tried hiding in the corner but then I got hit so then we ended up running until we were on safe ground Wink . It hurt I can tell you - it was going at quite some force. So glad it didn't hit alice in her pram though - it was scarily close Shock

Round of applause for the sleepers Grin

ledkr · 11/09/2011 17:15

Gosh reastie that could have been nasty. I think where dh is concerned you should have an affair or take the common advice from mn and "leave the bastard" Grin its horrible for you when you already feel a bit crap about yourself.

Well on the subject of feeling crap i had my hair done,im really pleased,my friend said that my lost hair is growing back and showed me all this new short hair, thats why my hair is mad at the mo.I now have quite a short bob but without the layers,i love it.
I think i have lost some weight, maybe not as much as id like but diet fairly easy so hey ho.My weight is spooky tho and can fluctuate about 5 pounds in a day.

We are just cooking a roast and Ella is having a 2 for 1 sale on her tat.
I went to get my hair done and dh had Dills.I left him watching the sport and came home to find him in the same position. He had moved to sort out Dilly but thats it.The kitchen and lounge were exactly as id left them,b fast stuff out dirty bottles by the sink, nappies on the floor etc.I had a fit and went a bit ott and told him to fuck off and that im sick of nagging and prefered it on my own.I said that even tho i have Dills there is not one day that he has come home and the bfast stuff is still out and i always cook a meal too,im really sick of him just lazing about all the time,i rang sky and got the sports cut off too Grin
He is now faffing about fixing the shower that has been broken since the dawn of time,he looks a bit worried and homeless haha
reastie would you like to borrow him?Hes always up for a shag but wont do much around the house!

40Weeks · 11/09/2011 17:49

Oooh ledkr you bad girl, cutting off the sky sports! Now THAT'S serious

ledkr · 11/09/2011 17:54

Well i do pay for it so i figure im paying to be ignored, plus sky movies encourages my inactive lifestyle so there.
Dilly is just moany tonight,i am never sure what to do around now,she is ready for bath and bed but it seems a bit early, sshe seems to be a 10 rather than a 12 hr girl so i darent do bedtime too early or ill be up with the lark.

MizK · 11/09/2011 18:13

hello sweetpeas! Again, massive fail on this thread, not keeping up at all. So have just read the last two pages sorry! We all had the plague all week AND Miss Cassia is being a fucking nightmare at night, fully awake for at least an hour every night, sometimes two hours always from about 2am. So not been with it in any way! Sorry to swear but sometimes fecking just wont cut it :)

ledkr hahahahaha at cutting off sky sports! It baffles me how men can relax whilst chaos reigns, yet if they come home to a mess they like to do martyred sighing as they begrudgingly tidy up!

reastie yikes to the golf ball! Sorry that you and your DH are having problems re dtd. But I have to agree with others, in my bedroom its strictly 50 50 - you only give to receive! So no more helping him out unless he's willing to reciprocate! Or you could get instant gratification from Amazon a la americanexpat haha!

wiggles cute pic, and yes to the pimp coat! In this recession at least Anna's chosen career will always be a lucrative one, but she so needs to accessorise with a fedora and a pair of alligator shoes (do next do those?)

big wave to you all, except people whose babies have been sleeping through, I am too too jealous to wave to the likes of you.

Right off to start dinner as DP is bathing cass - latest word is she did a poo in the bath - trying not to laugh at him.

ledkr · 11/09/2011 18:30

Ah poor you mizk Dilly does this sometimes,i have noted that it seems to happen if she has had too long a nap in the afternoon,so have become a bit millitant bout napping. We have had 4 good nights so maybe try that.
Im just waiting to see if she repeats the insomnia from last night,Ella has a friend over and they are eating a roast and having a burping comp and giggling at the same time-time to go soon me thinks.

janedoe25 · 11/09/2011 19:45

ledkr genious idea of cutting off sky sports Grin.

reastie I agree with the others re: dtd, if dh is not willing to dish it out then he so doesn't deserve you giving him a helping hand!

hi mizk sorry cassia is being a monkey during the night

needto I hope your knee gets better soon.

Today we stood in the wind and pouring rain to greet our friends at the finish line of a 10k they were doing for SANDS. It was bloody freezing! The storm thing is to hit during the night.
We met with our photographer, she is really fab!

Right im off to spend some time with DF, he is away again tomorrow until next sat Sad.

ledkr · 11/09/2011 19:51

jane nudge nudge wink wink Grin

janedoe25 · 11/09/2011 19:57

get your mind oot the gutter ledkr! Grin

ILovePonyo · 11/09/2011 20:00

Hello ladies, well I have had the amazing non sleeping baby today and last night - she was awake for an hour from 4am Confused just wide awake, gave her a bottle at 4.45 and she went back to sleep for a bit, then awake at 6. Then today, she has slept for a grand total of one hour - 2 half hour naps. Thats it, more Confused I am really hoping that she sleeps well tonight but have a feeling the lack of sleep in the day might make things worse.

Seems a lot of babies are waking (even more so) in the night at the moment, 7 month sleep regression anyone?!

ledkr good for you getting rid of sky sports, what a lazy git, my dp does the same, sits around all day doing bugger all then when I get pissed off and have a go at him he looks all sheepish and starts being 'helpful' around the house. Grin at him looking 'worried and homeless'

reastie can only second everyone elses advice re: dtd, dp and I don't make eough time for each other for that but try and be affectionate (hugs etc) in the day, don't know if you and dh are like that but could be worth a try. If he makes you feel rubbish and knocks your confidence though thats shitty and he needs to take your feelings into account too.

MizK poo in the bath! Grin what a treat. Hope C sleeps better for you tonight.

Haha dp just looked over my shoulder and saw what I wrote about him Grin looked a it hurt I have been 'slagging him off on the internet' I assured him I say nice things too Grin

Hello everyone else, got another episode of the killing to watch soon, getting into it now.

Oh and has everyone seen the celeb gossip thread in chat, some great stuff on there if anyone is bored Grin

NeedToSleepZZZ · 11/09/2011 20:36

mizk brilliant that our babies know to poo for the menfolk in the bathWink

ledkr fantastic idea re the sky sports, I'm now trying hard to think of a suitable punishment for oh when he's being uber lazy.

Jane glad meeting with photographer went well, I looked at your dress and you are going to be stunning. Hope you're all cosy with dp tonight and the storm isn't too bad up there. Sorry he's off for a week again Sad

reastie ouch for the golf ball but Grin at you and DH hiding in the corner then making a run for it! Hope you don't get a big bump on your head. I was hit round the head by a golf club by a little girl I was looking after years ago and I had such a bruise on my forehead it was very Blush

Not sure I cam stay awake tonight to watch appropriate adult but will give it a go. Watching the biggest loser whilst eating a twix at the moment, not sure that's right but never mind.
