Thought I should probably start a new thread as we face a new era for our beautiful April 2007 (and March / May) babies!!!

I am feeling rather shaky just writing this. I don't think I have quite got my head round the fact that Phoebe is starting school in a few short weeks. She is my last baby, so I am feeling pretty sad about it. Definitely the end of an era for me. No more babies at home - no more swimming fun / beach fun / park fun / fun with friends during the day, unless it is a school holiday, any more. Wow! I don't think I want to think about that too much right now, so I am going to stop!! Phoebe starts on Sept 12th, is p/t (til 12pm) all that week, then she is f/t from Sept 19th. All uniform and shoes bought for all girlies, so here we go .......

On a happier note - I have Bramshot and her girlies coming to visit today Smile We are planning to have fun on the beach, but weather forecast looks like rain Sad, so it might be soft play, which is a shame; but I am sure they girls will have a riot and Bramshot and I can drink coffee and stuff!! WinkGrin

Thanks for the memories ladies, it has been an amazing few years - I've had a bit of a break from MN recently, but I'll pop back every now and again to check in with all my favourite 4 year old's mummies!! Wink xx

Blimey, come on grls, I am talking to myself now!! Shock

How about a little update each so we remind each other where we're at?

O has really blossomed in reception and is learning loads and making friends (before she started I would have said she was quite shy!)

N is now 9 and in Y4 Shock and we're just starting to think about looking at secondary schools later on this year. She is mostly a delight, although we do get some flashes of sulky pre-teen behaviour. She is lovely with O though - a really caring big sister. I can't believe she is half-way to 18 though!

I am now working 30 hours over 5 short-ish days so less time for MN! 4 days of that is a new job that is a new challenge and I am really enjoying - back in the same field I worked in before N was born.

DH is working hard, but conversely, since I am working more, things have got more equal at home and it feels like we're pulling in the same direction!

Despite moving to this house more than 6 years ago, there is still loads we need to do and need to make progress on - mainly in the garden which is large, messy, and partly covered in brambles, piles of rubble and chicken coops! Our neighbours must despair of us, but there never seems to be enough time to do anything!

Okay - over to you lot . . .

Good idea Bramshott!!!

Dh is always working, currently 3 shifts 7 days a week so I hold the fort with the house and children, he slots in very well when he is home thankfully Wink

I didn't return to work after ds3 due to childcare issues and took redundancy instead - wonder now how I ever found time to work with 3 children Grin

ds1 is now 8 and is in Y3 doing very well but is hard work!!! Always needs something to do unless it is the tv or Wii (which to his disappointment is limited!!). Loves swimming, cubs, star wars & lego.

dd is very nearly 5 and is in reception, she is a smart cookie like her older brother, just started swimmimg without a floats and as of this weekend the stablisers are off the bike too!! She starts Rainbows after Easter and is the bossy one in the household apart from me

ds2 is also nearly 5 Wink he is quieter one of all 4 (can't get a word in with dd) his swimming and cycling is the same as his sister. He is plodding along at school right in the middle of the class and he enjoys going (but more for a social I think).

Ds3 is just 3. He is at the preschool attached to the school for 3 mornings a week which is going up to 2.5 days after Easter. He seems quicker to do things than the others but then with 3 older 'teachers' it is hardly surprising. Likes doing whatever any of the olders ones are doing.

Looking forward to getting away in our caravan (one bought with some of my redundancy package) as it is the only time dh is away from work!!

ok so it looks like I have typed an essay Blush
