APRIL 2007 - Our Babies Are Off To School!!!!! :-O and :-( and :-)!!!!

Thought I should probably start a new thread as we face a new era for our beautiful April 2007 (and March / May) babies!!!

I am feeling rather shaky just writing this. I don't think I have quite got my head round the fact that Phoebe is starting school in a few short weeks. She is my last baby, so I am feeling pretty sad about it. Definitely the end of an era for me. No more babies at home - no more swimming fun / beach fun / park fun / fun with friends during the day, unless it is a school holiday, any more. Wow! I don't think I want to think about that too much right now, so I am going to stop!! Phoebe starts on Sept 12th, is p/t (til 12pm) all that week, then she is f/t from Sept 19th. All uniform and shoes bought for all girlies, so here we go .......

On a happier note - I have Bramshot and her girlies coming to visit today Smile We are planning to have fun on the beach, but weather forecast looks like rain Sad, so it might be soft play, which is a shame; but I am sure they girls will have a riot and Bramshot and I can drink coffee and stuff!! WinkGrin

Thanks for the memories ladies, it has been an amazing few years - I've had a bit of a break from MN recently, but I'll pop back every now and again to check in with all my favourite 4 year old's mummies!! Wink xx

a moped Shock

dh has been back a week, I finished the kitchen and now all the party invitations are flooding in Hmm for the dcs not me Envy

oooggs · 18/10/2011 21:05

hey ladies - what are you all buying the dcs for Christmas??????????

Bramshott · 19/10/2011 09:58

I am in denial about Christmas! I might give in and get N the DS she wants this year. I've always resisted in the past but am tempted because (a) it's small (!), and (b) O will start doing more clubs/activities next year and N will have some hanging around to do. But then if I get N one, will O want one too (despite currently being certain she wants Sylvanian Families)?!

oooggs · 19/10/2011 14:26

Bramshott - ds1 is 8 in December and I suggested a ds as he would love one but dh won't relent!!!!!

cazboldy · 20/10/2011 22:45

Molly wants dressing up things. (although she already has lots!) and an upstairs Hmm we live in a bungalow Grin

oooggs · 12/11/2011 23:10

Wow so long since anyone posted I actually lost the thread Shock

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 13/11/2011 18:25

Hi everyone

Keep meaning to find you all again and have just bumped into Eddas on another thread. We have really lost loads of people haven't we :(

T is getting on well at school and A loves the CMs. She is "a big girl" now, only really cries when she's pretending to be a baby Confused - can't believe the time has gone fast.

A few things going on here, my dad is starting some treatment for prostate cancer very soon ,which should be ongoing over Christmas. As cancer goes, everything is positive though. I do worry that he will be tired/unwell because of the treatment though and not let on :(
Some better news - I have a new job. Which is good in iteslef as the job looks fantastic, but also gets me out of this job which has caused me some major stress. I have not been a good mum, have felt constantly on the edge and have not coped well at all - working long hours and then the job consuming my thoughts out of work. I handed in my noticve on Friday and can already feel the physical effects lessening, and I have been coping with life so much better since I knew I was going.

Sorry for self centred and long post, just want to offload :)

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 13/11/2011 18:27

Spoke to soon - A is having a "tired and hungry" whine now :o Think I quickly need to feed them and get them to bed

Bramshott · 14/11/2011 16:27

Ooh, a new job SPB - that must be a relief! How long before you start?

cazboldy · 14/11/2011 23:32

Well done on the new job Spb xx
Hope your dad gets well soon xx

leakyR · 18/11/2011 23:19

Hi haven't been on for ages as I'm a bit "off" at the mo and haven't been online for much in weeks. Sorry to hear about your dad SPB, but well done on the new job.

G is loving school and got a lovely report on parent's evening. DD starts preschool in January . She'll be doing 3 afternnoons a week and although I love her to bits it can't come soon enough. I'm looking forward to going to the loo alone and being able to actaully start and finish household tasks in one go Wink

oooggs · 19/11/2011 06:19

Leaky I am with you there. Luke starts preschool in January too. And the time to get things done will be very welcomed Grin

Hi Luce - Christmas is organised here, has to be really as we are off on holiday on 16th!

Yes very busy, thought it would get easier when STD went to school but it just makes after school until bedtime very busy and stressful.

How do you manage after school activities?

Spb how is your dad?

oooggs · 22/11/2011 13:06

Dts Smile

cazboldy · 22/11/2011 20:56

nice to see you too Luce Smile

most unorganised I have ever been this year.......

really need a kick up the backside!

Bramshott · 01/12/2011 09:06

We are all away frantically shopping for Christmas! How about Christmas plays? O is a star and tells me she has to stand "twinkling my fingers" . . . .

oooggs · 02/12/2011 20:27

James is a Victorian work child! Erin is a narrator & Jack is a king. School Christmas fair today -glad it is over Wink

cazboldy · 04/12/2011 09:52

Molly is an angel Hmm and Charlie is a shepherd........but he asked the teacher if he could be a cowman instead!

Northernlurker · 04/12/2011 09:59

Bea is still at nursery till Christmas. She is Mary in their play, although she did protest and try to be cast as an angel instead.......Hmm

oooggs · 04/12/2011 16:31

So has Bea not started in reception yet? Friend of mine kept her daughter at preschool until the January a couple of years ago.
