FriggFRIGG · 21/02/2011 00:42

this will explain all

sassy34264 · 21/02/2011 01:10

thanks. frigg but I'm not sure who you are? Smile I'm guessing clumsy? X

comixminx · 21/02/2011 01:19

Ha ha ha Frigg! Sorry, but it was funny - thanks for the link.

sassy - congratulations mixed with awe for bravery! (and yes, Frigg is indeed clumsymumluckybaby).

cinnamongreyhound · 21/02/2011 03:53

Congratulations Sassy34264! if you and your dp are please then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I told my mum as soon as I knew both times as I don't think I could have kept it from her. So I guess Jacob and Isobel will be 15 months? My cousin has a 14 month gap but without twins, it was hardwork but lovely now, she lost her coil though so wasn't majorly pleased! I feel I could have another one now which I never did at this stage with ds1, maybe you're just more relaxed second time. However with twins I think you're mad Wink

Dixiebell · 21/02/2011 03:56

sassy, omg!!! Congratulations, you are a bit crazy I think ;) but how wonderful! Have to admit that DH and I are still to recommence, rem, relations even (Blush, although to be fair, DH has just had an operation on his bits...], so pretty impressed!

frigg, that is really rather hilarious, sorry!

Arlo keeps waking himself up at 3.30am, pooing. Argh! He's so pooey, still at least 3/4 a day. Still no luck on the bottles...gonna try some non-defrosted stuff tomorrow in case that's making it taste funny..don't know if it would, but the one time he did happily take a bottle it was freshly expressed. Only a few weeks till my sister's hen do, so need to crack it, or I won't be going!

Arlo - 20 weeks today!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/02/2011 08:15

I think our boys are synchronised Dixiebell, we seem to just miss each other most nights Grin. Didn't have problems with getting my boys to take bottles but have you thought of buying one bottle of a different type? Ds1 was a bit more reluctant than Luke to take a bottle and my mum just shook the bottle so the milk touched him tongue and once he could taste milk he drank from the bottle. Maybe you could start a thread in breast and bottle feeding to get some advice?

23 weeks

FriggFRIGG · 21/02/2011 08:37

hello it's clumsy frigg indeed sassy Grin

ooh no g's yet this morning!

maybe all the tea has dryed outGrin

cinnamongreyhound · 21/02/2011 08:52

All ok SeaChelles? Haven't seen you for a few days.

I've got a quiet week this week yay! Only 2 children today and finishing at 4, 1 tomorrow and finishing at 2.30, off Wednesday and Thursday and 2 on Friday until 5 but dh is home which makes everything much better Grin

JessemyParkson · 21/02/2011 09:05

Morning all...

FRIGG I was crying with laughter over your link - Mary was watching me, and she looked so confused!! Pmsl!

sassy congratulations!

I've been wondering whether I'm pg too, as I am unbelievably hormonal (giggling uncontrollably at frigg's dilemma, and had a massive fight with DH round MIL's yesterday, was very Blush thinking about it afterwards) and feeling tired in the afternoons. I still haven't had a period yet, and Mary is 20 odd weeks plus.

Is there anyone else yet who hasn't had one still?!

Weaning update: I tried Mary with a few mashed peas in with her usual lunch, and she shook herself! Hmm, may it's a bit early for those. But she loved the dribble of custard I gave her!

mapletrees · 21/02/2011 09:08

OMG sassy. That's fantastic, congratulations! I always thought you were just tough, the way you coped with everything, but now I realise that you're actually just mad!! Wink

Frigg I feel your pain. Certainly not laughing at all. No really, only sympathy from this direction.... (He, he, he...)

Thanks for cheering me up both of you (in very different ways Smile), was having a bit of a shite morning.

mapletrees · 21/02/2011 09:12

Jess I still haven't (and Louis is 24+5). I'm hoping it's just because I'm still feeding Louis round the clock, and being grateful. I can't remember, are you bfing or ffing?

JessemyParkson · 21/02/2011 09:36

I'm bfing, but she doesn't have as many feeds as she used to. Usually between 4-6 feeds in the day, and she sleeps through at night. (Mary is now 20+6 weeks)

I'm not too bothered if I am, as we were planning on going straight on to have another one anyway. But it's so confusing not having had a period yet! :o

FriggFRIGG · 21/02/2011 09:40

i havent had one yet either, apart from a small bleed when i had my coil put in,i didnt get one with DD until she was 18mo and i'd stopped BFing! i was pregnant with arlo pretty much straight away so ive had one period in 2 and a half years!Grin

glad to cheer you up/make you laugh at me...if i hadnt started a thread about it i would have been distraught about not being able to mn!Grin

park

check t'other thread...Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 21/02/2011 09:59

I think the period thing varies so much I was on this thread with a lady asking about stopping feeding as she wanted to ttc. Luke is still feeding 6-8 times a day and at least once in the night and I've had a period (although it's been over 5 weeks and no other one yet). Have chatted to one other lady I know in rl who is bf and she didn't get hers back with her dd until she was 14 months old I'm just unlucky I think! Maybe you should do a test JessemyParkson?

JessemyParkson · 21/02/2011 10:37

I've thought about doing a test, but I kind of want to stick my head in the sand and see what happens.

I feel like if I do a test and it's -ve, I'll be a bit upset having gotten my hopes up that it's +ve IYSWIM?

Dixiebell · 21/02/2011 11:13

jessemy, no period here yet either, Arlo's 20 weeksand BFing prob 6 times a day.

cinnamon, you're right, there's a psychic link between our boys! I don't mind 3.30 as much as 12.30, but I'd rather he went back to sleeping through!

So I gave Arlo a bottle of milk expressed last night and he downed the whole 2oz, no fuss at all! So now I'm wondering if the frozen milk tastes different? Can freezing make it go funny? Bit of a pain if I have to use only refrigerated bm as I have loads in the freezer, and would take me days to pump enough milk for a weekend's worth to store in the fridge! Will try again with fresh milk before going back to tge frozen. Might start a thread about it, good idea.

Arlo currently on his second nap of the day. Nice life being a baby, ain't it?!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/02/2011 11:24

Both ds1 and Luke have had frozen defrosted milk and haven't been bothered but I suppose it could change it Dixiebell. How do you defrost it? Do you heat it or does he have it at rt? Used to defrost it in microwave with ds1 but use boiling water in a bowl with Luke.

Luke went back to bed at 9.30 and is still there Shock. Have painted ds1's boats (my mum has this weird thing where every present has to look like something else so my brothers presents were wrapped in boxes of all kinds, one was a printer cartridge box and as ds1 helped him unwrap it he nicked the paper mache bits out of it and they are now apparently his boats) and made play doh snakes not sure what's next.

Debs75 · 21/02/2011 12:17

Sassy that is great news congratulations. Four is a lot of fun, hard work but fun all the same.

MammyG do you have any news to spill?
I had a really bad period the month before I conceived Lucy, whilst on the pill as well. It was my first after DD2, she was about 14 months old. I went to Docs as it was very lumpy He said it was nothing to worry about. I was pregnant within a month.
I have always had a long break after the babies before my periods come back. This time I have the implant in so should be 3 years before I have another one.

Jodey I tried Lucy with a bit of mashed potato and she gagged then spat it out. Mash is a bit too starchy for a first food. If you get a potato ricer and put it through thast it doesn't go as starchy so might be better. You could use all the frozen potato for you if theres enough

Dixiebell · 21/02/2011 12:34

cinnamon, I defrosted it in fridge overnight, then warmed bottle in hot water before giving it. I did think it smelt different from when it's freshly pumped. Arlo now been napping over an hour and a half! Amazing.

saoirse86 · 21/02/2011 12:40

Sassy Shock Grin how exciting. You are a nutter, but I'm sure you already knew that! Grin You made me go all weepy. Does this mean you're about to start on an October 2011 thread? Maybe MammyG and Jessemy will be joining you there Wink

Jessemy maybe you're about to have a period if you're not preggers too. But I completely agree with not wanting to do a test. I did one a couple of weeks ago because I had every symptom I had before, but it was negative and I was so upset about it. It's strange because 13 months ago I didn't even want one yet let alone 2!

saoirse86 · 21/02/2011 12:41

It must be a time for good naps. Orlaith slept for 2 1/2 hours yesterday afternoon. I eventually had to wake her up to go out. Confused
