Hi MissP :o. Great that the building work is finally getting started but :( you won't be in for Christmas. I'm the one dealing with an insurance company now. But I bet a wrote off car is easier than house damage :(

We're in a B&B in Scarborough at the moment. Me and dh have had a week off work but with Lewis been at school (and us already taking him out next June we knew we couldn't go away) we made a last minute decision to go away for the weekend. It's so warm!! :o Dh and the boys are asleep so I'm all alone Wink.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sun :o

QF - saw your FB photos. You're very good at not finding out the sex :o Can't believe you're halfway already. Noah is such a nightmare pain in the arse livewire I couldn't imagine having another baby :o

hi everyone. potty training becca has finally done a first wee in the potty so we're a go for half term but we shall see after that. It's kinda weird trying to fit everything in the hols. new job is going really well though a crazy thing happened today that has involved the closure of the library due to the masons of all people. All very odd etc. Christmas is def going to be a quieter affair in our house thin year i think. We need to make sure we keep to our budget as the money is bleeding fast to child care. Over 6 grand a year, grrr. Speaking of childcare we have found someone new to look after the girls till Sept next year. She will come to our house and look after them there! Amazing. And for the same money as we pay now. Only problem is that cos she's not ofsted registered we can't claim it in tax credits so is actually more expensive but who can turn down a nanny eh? phoenix hope you had a lovely weekend away. We has a birthday party at a friends on Friday night and stopped over for beer and curry which was fab. Even more fab was feeling that sat was sunday and having and "extra" day on the weekend!

Hope everyone is well and hi to everyone. x

Aww Alfies generally a laid back little kid albeit we have more of the i want i want tantrums! This being my 4th child you expect to be seen by consulant very little, however I have a diff consultant this time and he suddenly seems concerned about my underactive thyroid. Oh well.

Potty training improving here.
Ali childcare is not an ootion for me until they are all at school full time then it will still cost me over twenty quid a day :o a nanny is great though!

Missp glad you have light at the end of the tunnel with the insurance stuff.

Spent a successful morning on the stand at the baby show at llandudno. We then spent the rest of the day swimming in the sea at Prestatyn twas lovely!

alibobble · 11/10/2011 18:01

hi all isn't it quiet here. Is it the weather?

QueenFee · 11/10/2011 18:58

Real life is just soo busy!
I have 8 loads if washing to do :o I also need to clean.
I also need to breathe lol I completely forgot Cerys had clubs after school today so waited like an idiot for half an hour, by the time I realised it was only 20 minutes till she came out duh! Pregnancy brain. 22 weeks now. My hips are feeling a bit dodgy today but apart from that i'm generally doing well!
Hows everyone?

Misspaella · 15/10/2011 20:19

Ali it is quiet...RL is too hectic!
:-)

QueenFee · 15/10/2011 20:43

Sorry can I just spam you with this? A good friend of mine is trying to raise £50000 to send her little boy Will to America to have an op to help him walk unaided.
They also have a facebook page and are holding an aution in a couple of weeks.

Thanks ladies!

alibobble · 26/10/2011 17:07

hi everyone. Hope you are all surviving half term. I'm enjoying not running around everywhere! We are housebound a bit as trying to potty train becca. Going slowly though she's doing pretty well. we've also just put her into a bed which resulted in a very broken night last night.

New child minder sorted for after half term. She's coming to my house :) She's training as a nanny next year so we're giving her paid work experience. Looking forward to less stress on that front.

What's everyone up to half term? We don't celebrate halloween so it's been really tricky to find anything that's not spooky themed over these hols.

QueenFee · 31/10/2011 19:28

Yay no trick or treaters yet! All the more sweets for meee!. Kids had a great evening at church with a Lion party :)

Fin felt the baby kicking yesterday and he was well made up :)

This weeks funny, dh was having a wee, Alfie peered round interestedly and said but daddy it's bigger lol

alibobble · 02/11/2011 19:45

hoho! they come out with some funny stuff. My two have been comparing nipples this week!

We don't celebrate Halloween so I'm afraid we hid inside but we didn't get too much disturbance anyway. We're lucky being in a cul-de sac for that. People have to want to come past esp as we're at the end rather than just passing by.

Still working on potty training here but gave up over the hols as everything was getting wee'd on! She's in pull ups and occasionally goes for a wee. We give her a sticker for that but I dread the poos. Beth made such a song and dance about them that it was easy to spot but becca seems much more "well fibred" shall we say so it's hard to tell until the room starts to smell!!!

Just made a batch of squash and sweet potato soup. It's fantastic even if I do say so myself and even more amazing as it's made with Lidl el cheepo squahes! Not bad eh?

New nanny working out brilliantly. Slight hicup with the busse for her the other day but other than that superb :) I feel very well looked after :) (or the girls anyway!) How is everyone else dong? Dare I ask if peop0le are organised for Christmas? I'm watching some playmobil on ebay for Beth! We shall see... trying to do Christmas cheaper this year after my car crash insurance premium and other hazards have wiped out our savings. Ooops!

QueenFee · 15/11/2011 22:58

has this thread died? Sad

not organised for christmas here but my parents coming up next week to do their christmas shopping so will probably do a fair bit then.

DH is away, i'm tired from pregnancy, walking the school runs and washing as Alfie has a sick bug.

Hope your all fairing a bit better than me this week.

alibobble · 20/11/2011 18:35

I was going to post he same thing. I guess everyone has got too much going on in RL to be here. We've all got colds but the vomiting bug has escaped us so far. Christmas is getting sorted. Doing it really small this year as car crash wiped out all our christmas savings as premium went up loads. Grr. Grandparents will have to live with school photos as pressies. THe girls I got on ebay and with my tesco club card points. Right better go and help with bath time.

btw anyone following strictly? was a bit disappointed with the wembly one. I think the venue was too big in the end so it was too difficult to cover the floor effectively and they all succumbed to nerves. Still they made quite a lot for Children in need which is good.

QueenFee · 20/11/2011 23:33

lol you bought your girls on ebay Grin ????

yes I guess so. I miss this thread though.

So what have your nearly 2.5 year olds been up to recently. I can't believe that Alfie starts preschool in January. Hes been such an easy toddler so far and is so chatty and good company.

Thinking I may have to move him out of his cotbed into a full size bed. Fin is perfectly happy in his at 5 but Alfie takes up loads of the bed and keeps coming through to my bed. I ses that some of you have only just got them into beds, but Alfie has been in his for well, forever cause he makes his own mind up about things like this!

third trimester this week yay!

alibobble · 29/11/2011 19:43

hey yeah! I think it would have been cheaper to buy them on ebay! :) I miss the thread too. Becca more chatty than she has been. Anyone else's LO use D instead of S for every S word? I'm so out of touch with developmental stages. We had some concerns with her speech a while back wbut she was quite normal apparently. Just beth's language is so developed it makes he look odd.

Very independant. Had our first poo in the potty today. Hurray. Not much progress on full potty training though. Too many colds and tiredness at the moment. Never mind. Prob full of typos but hey never mind

SnowmanDaveIsVeryFestive · 14/12/2011 16:21

Afternoon all - tis me, JetLi. Hope all are well. How you feeling QF?

QueenFee · 15/12/2011 10:55

Not bad, been better ;) 8 weeks and 6 days to go. Loads of braxton hicks keeping me awake. Alfie sounded really croupy last night so had him in my bed so not much sleep!

Finally caved and put up the tree last night. Still no where near ready for christmas oh well.

How are you jetli?

SnowmanDaveIsVeryFestive · 16/12/2011 17:43

We're good. Pondering number 3 Xmas Blush but not doing anything about it IYSWIM Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

SnowmanDaveIsVeryFestive · 16/12/2011 17:44

Oh and tree not up here which is a bloody disgrace. I'm usually "trimmed" by the first weekend in December, me Xmas Grin

QueenFee · 16/12/2011 18:22

I sailed through my 3rds pregnancy. I am finally starting to feel festive now having sat snuggled under a duvet watching cbeebirs panto with my 3. Usually I love christmas time :(

I have still got 5 pressies to get (some are birthdays just after) and now I will have to do that with all the kids in tow as they broke up today. Feels weird as normally I have all my shopping done middle of nov@
Dd has lost her 1st top tooth so has gained a rather delightfull lisp.
Ali the speech therapist told me they dont worry about lisps till they are 7. Alfies has glubs instead of gloves which is rather cute and up untill recently Fin call spiders spiceders!

alibobble · 22/12/2011 14:26

hi all. Can anyone out there help me? Does anyone else's little one seem to suffer "toddler diarohea?" Becca's "looseness" is a real barrier to toilet training. No sign and then wooomf! Seems to be worse when she's ill but it's getting ridiculous now. Is it worth contacting hv?

SnowmanDaveIsVeryFestive · 22/12/2011 15:44

Hi Ali. No experience as such but I have defo heard of it. In my head they would run some tests and if they can find no other reason for it, then its classed as "toddler diarohea". Could she be dairy-intolerant like you or coeliac maybe?

QueenFee · 22/12/2011 20:40

My dd had it but just grew out of it. However as has been said worth checking out as can be linked to milk intolerence etc. Is it all the time or just sometimes? Does she have Excema? To be honest I wouldn't worry about potty training unless she is upset by it. My 1st 2 were both 3 before they were ready.

alibobble · 28/12/2011 16:07

Becca is milk intolerant and like Beth is under the care of the dietician but we all have a dairy free diet anyway. Thanks for the input. I think she may also suffer for being the neglected 2nd child. "Oh we'll just see how it goes... " for like 3 months! She doesn't seeem unwell in herself. Maybe she will grow out ofit

alibobble · 28/12/2011 16:14

huzzah have found some reliable info on patient UK (as opposed to just googling it!) [http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Toddler%27s-Diarrhoea.htm] click here if you want to read. Becca has a low fat diet due to dairy free and also has quite a lot of fruit juice. think this may be resolved quite quickly :)

alibobble · 28/12/2011 16:14

or even click www.patient.co.uk/health/Toddler%27s-Diarrhoea.htm here!
