Hello just recovering from a visit from mil grrrrrr this page is not long enough for the rant i need.

I'm ok. Sinus problems but apart from that just the usual pregnancy stuff! 14 weeks and I can feel bubs kicking.

Gutted to order 2 footmuffs for my double buggy off ebay looked gray in the pic. Turned out to be blue. Now no one will buy them off me!

alibobble · 20/08/2011 16:21

oh how rubbish. Did the seller not give the colour in the description? I would complain to ebay. Did you pay by paypal? You are covered by distance selling. If they didn't say they were blue it's not your fault they were not grey. I'll ask Pete what he thinks. He's loads of ebay experience. Just sold all my maternity clothes in a bundle for £30. Not bad. Got a tiny curtsey car. Is a tin can on wheels but it gets us from A-> B

Last day at worjk today. Off for curry and (unusually for me) beer with people from work. Look forward to hilarious FB picis.

QueenFee · 24/08/2011 15:10

I relisted them and someone is now bidding phew!
Seriously wondering if it is worth getting a pram for the boot, I think I will probably end up carrying bubs in a sling most of the time and Alfie will be in preschool most mornings. Hmm...

JetLi · 25/08/2011 10:14

I think sometimes the photos taken with mobile phones aren't so good on colours are they? Common sense though to describe the colour vs. the photo I would think. Glad you can pass them on QF. I found I have to strap DD1 down as she won't hold my hand or walk beside me - how is Alfie on that score? Or are you thinking of the pram for new baby?

QueenFee · 25/08/2011 17:16

Alfies pretty good tbh he will wear reins and hold hands most of the time. I am thinking for the buggy for the baby. I have a double as I will be up and down to school 3 times a day and its 2 different sites now Cerys has gone to juniors so I think it will be too much to expect him to walk as well as going to preschool. Also I need to put him in the buggy when I need to get there fast!

Gillyan · 28/08/2011 15:56

Hi everyone! Long time no speak :) how is everyone? Xx

QueenFee · 28/08/2011 20:51

Hi Gillyan :)
Glad you found us again ;)

Hows you and your 2? Hows the terrible 2s going?

Gillyan · 29/08/2011 09:13

Loving to mobile site! This is probably dangerous though!

We're good thanks. Grace is 5 n hf now and Summer was 2 in June.

Terrible 2's..... She's been having them since she was about 13mths! Had a few problems with faltering growth, hadn't had her weighed for ages and when I did she had dropped from the 91st centime to the 2nd!!!!!!! She's been under the hospital since April. They've ruled out coeliac disease and milk allergy and are considering a wheat free trial. She has diarrhoea constantly and has had since she was 1 :( so we aren't even thinking about potty training yet!

I see from what I've caught up on lots of you are expecting again! :) congratulations to you all! Xxx

alibobble · 01/09/2011 16:46

hi Gillyan. Good to hear from you again. Hope you find out what's causing the diarrohea (or however you spell it!). That can't be fun for her.

Hi all. Is it me or has summer suddenly arrived in the few days before school starts? Crazy.

Sent a ranty email to our local paper about the closure of a local bridge adding 40+ mins to my new commute to work. Crazy days. there wasa "meeting" the other night about it but he council failed to send anyone and when I ran them about it, 90% of their staff were on leave due to an office move. grr rant.

Also been Ebaying here. Sold loads of baby stuff but sad cos my cotton bottoms don't sell anymore. Everyone's got all in ones now. But they were good and absorbent for beth. Never mind. Might save them for my sister if she ever has kids (yeah right!)

QueenFee · 01/09/2011 19:54

Have you tried cloth nappy tree or usednappy sites? No one looks on ebay for used nappies as a couple of years ago they decided they wouldnt allow it!
There is a fbook cloth nappy page too :)

Yes the summer has launched as usual just as they are back to school it's the same every year :o

QueenFee · 01/09/2011 19:55

Oh and did I mention we are in the middle of potty training too sigh

What stage is everyone at with it? My other 2 were 3 before they were interested but Alfie is insistant!

alibobble · 02/09/2011 08:27

Not attempting potty training here till Oct half term. Was going to give it a go before new job but becca got a runny tummy. No good at all. Thanks for the advice QF. Will look into it. Gotta go, tiny person insisting I put a tent up for her: that or put videos of cats from youtube on. Better turn the computer off!

QueenFee · 03/09/2011 20:52

Alfie was dry till half 6 tonight! Even then when he realised he went and sat on the potty which is the 1st time he has initiated it himself :) still a long way off with pooing hes just holding it in at the mo. Oh well. Not bad progress :)

Phoenix · 08/09/2011 21:55

Helloooooooo!!!

I thought we might have been getting somewhere with potty training Noah so I bought him some pants for his birthday but every day I say to him 'do you want nappy or pants today?' His answer everyday is 'bappy.'

Ds1 was just over 3 when he did it so I was planning trying around then with Noah but we go to Ibiza in the June before he's 3 so ideally I'd like him dry in the day by then to save messing with nappies iykwim. We're also trying to get him used to walking so we don't have to take a pushchair lol. He's a good hand holder too :)

Ali - How's the job going?
Gillyan - Good to see you back on here although I keep up on FB.
QF - I love the school photos of your 3. Alfie is nearly as tall as your ds1 :)

Hi to everyone else :o

Do you know, I read all these messages today thinking they were new then I just noticed they are a few days old. I've been looking at threads I'm on and this thread isn't on my list anymore Blush. I thought the thread had been quiet for weeks Blush

Yeah I was a thread killer!

When I went for my scan she thought the boys were twins when sat down!

I use the threads i'm watching now.

QueenFee · 08/09/2011 23:44

Oh and i've just added that pic to my mn profile for you non fbers

Patchybob · 09/09/2011 13:15

Hi everyone, I haven't been around much as real life has taken over!! Everything is fine here. I started potty training Max last week and gave up at the weekend. he is dry at home and will get the potty and sit on it when he needs to go.....but when we go out its another story!! We have just started a 12 week building project so at the mo I want to be out all of the time and the thought of him peeing everywhere is enough to throw me over the edge!!

I have become totally obsessed with running and have been doing the c25k app on my phone. I am on week 7 and loving it. I haven't noticed any weight loss but I think I am looking more toned which is lovely!!!! I try to run 3 times a week and it is such an escape from the chaos at home!

The house is very quiet now my big kids are back at school. Max is doing this crazy jealous thing that turns him into a vile beast when they get home which is exhausting. Yesterday he emptied a bag on sawdust on to the carpet and then a plate of chicken casserole on the floor. Lots of screaming and shouting and generally horrible behaviour. He is so lovely when they are at school that I am beginning to dread after school time!! Any tips welcome!

Anyway must dash, early pick up today as they have been on a school trip.

xxx

alibobble · 12/09/2011 17:30

hi all. New job is going really well. Loving it.

Patchy: Becca also very jealous. Even child minder says it's the same. You don't know that you've got her all day then as soon as Beth gets back they start bickering. it's been the story of the summer hols. I have to say that that is the bit I shall miss most about working full time. The only time I'll have the kids I'll have both (school hols) so never just beth or just becca.

QueenFee · 17/09/2011 23:00

hi ali and patchy

do not envy the house alterations! My sister has just had an extension built and she found it quite stressfull.

POtty training going really well :) Alfie took his own pants and trousers off and used the potty without prompt for the 1st time today! Still has a hbit of starting pooing in his pants though [pregnancy heave]

Can't believe I have my next scan this week! Where has this pregnancy gone to. Very nearly halfway now :)
Alfie is the opposite, he hates being here without the other 2. He is so used to their company and he and Fin play together so well generally it's like he misses his best friend.
Sent him into the kids class at church last week and he cried after 5 mins. I was suprised as he was with the other 2. So fingers crossed for me tomorrow that he gets over whatever was bugging him.

Glad the new job going well Ali. I never took that job in the end decided it was just too much with the pregnancy at the mo. However the person who has got it will do a great job so pleased for her.
Dan is still out of work, which is lovely to have him around but we really need an earner in the family soon and preferably before little bubs is born!
I think we have finally got some names so feel quite relaxed now.

You can tell i'm on the pc tonight not my phone can't you!

Has anyone started their christmas shopping yet? I am so at a loss, but want to start before it's too much effort to drag my bump round the shops.

Phoenix · 18/09/2011 15:04

Hi everyone :)

I've started christmas shopping. I've got all that I'm planning on getting my boys because I went mad last year and almost everything I bought them doesn't get played with. I've got them one main thing (scooter for Lewis, elc garage for Noah) some pj's, slippers, dressing gown and a coat. I know what I'm getting my parents but I'm not getting that til my brothers pay their share of the money towards it. I think I know what I'm getting most other people too just need to buy it all :o

For anyone not on Facebook/not seen it on there I crashed my car yesterday. I was on my own (thank god) on my way to work and my car slid on the wet road and I completely lost control, didn't know where the hell I was going and it rolled and landed on the roof. I have no idea how but I got out with just cuts on my hand. It was the most scary thing I've ever been through. Ambulance came but I felt fine so didn't go to hospital. I'm very stiff and in pain today though, particularly in my neck and ribs. The car is probably a write off. The road was terrible though everyone could feel the slidiness under their feet so the police are taking no further action and didn't even question or breathalise me, it was just the condition of the road. Dh hates me using that road anyway because its a quiet country type road which is pretty well known for accidents but I'm quite sure I won't be using it again in the near future. It's definitely made me think :(

Hope everyone is ok :)

alibobble · 19/09/2011 18:02

hi phoenix. Very glad to hear that you are ok. I saw the photos on FB. Very scary. I can't believe you are organised about Christmas! I think this year may fall to me rushing about in the few days before the end of term as I think our terms are shorter than Beth's.

New job is really great but ironically due to the massive increase in child care costs and the cliff edge drop off of tax credits we are actually £100-200 a month worse off than before. It will be better next year when Becca is in nursery. I love the job though. LOVE it! Definately made the right move for the long term. As a result of the lack of money I think that Christmas will be a smaller afaire this year in our house. I think I shall just be enjoying the fact that i get 2 weeks off :)

Right better go and get tea on for me and Pete. Another thing is that the bridge to work is closed so we're doing all sorts of weird things with the car to avoid a massive 14mile detour. In short the kids are having tea at the child minders for the moment so I get ot eat tea with Pete a few days a week which is nice and grown up! :)

Phoenix · 25/09/2011 22:39

Thanks Ali, I'm completely fine Grin

I don't want to speak too soon but we left Noah nappy free for a while today because his bum is sore and he did 2 wee's on the potty. The first time he sat down on it but bits weren't down right so he missed Grin but the second time he got on the potty by himself and did a weeGrin. Me and DH have got the week off work so while we're in the house we're gonna try to convince him to go nappy free. We may be getting somewhere.

Hope everyone's ok Smile

QueenFee · 25/09/2011 22:51

Alfie had mastered the whole potty thing but has suddenly decided going to the toilet is boring and he'd rather wee in his pants. Any tips?

Misspaella · 27/09/2011 20:30

Hey everyone long time no speak. I have been stuck in RL (temping and insurance claim).

Our building work is FINALLY starting next week. Sadly we won't be home for Christmas.

Temping has been good but I think I am spending as fast as I make it. Dinners, drinks, treats for the kids etc....

Phoenix I am thinking of starting Christmas shopping too. Any good ideas for DH, DS1(6) DD (4) Tristan (er, 2 as you know) pass over please.

Ali I am glad the job is going well.

QF how is the bump?

Potty training ugh is it that time again?

Jetli, Gillian Patchy everyone hi. Smile
