it appears I posted the last post... so here's a new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

He's quite possibly heavier pepper, though prob not as tall. I think he weighs about the same as Martha.

Thank you star. We love bright colours, so anything that catches your eye in the pile is good. I know that he had yellow and orange jackets at various points, and a nice blue jumper when you came here for their 1st birthdays, and some nice bright blue trousers.... (I don't have an exceptional memory - just had a quick glance at a few fb photos!). But don't worry if you don't want to go through them again. :).

I also need to start getting rid of baby clothes soon, as we still have almost everything! Need to find the time to ebay all the boden type stuff (and make sure it coincides with right season for sale), and find homes for all the more basic bits.
Do the rest of you throw stuff that is stained/a bit manky? I am quite happy for my younger ones to wear stained stuff from my older ones, but guess someone else wouldn't want my stained stuff would they?

And ds1 has been peculiar with food for a couple of months now. I can't be bothered fighting with him, because I can't make him eat it, and he does eat a lot of fruit. The important thing star is to make sure that over the course of a week that he has had a well balanced diet, and not to worry about each individual meal too much.

I too have been clearing out today.... DH wants to keep stuff in case either his or my brother have kids... but i am desperate to clear out. I'm only hanging on to hand made stuff (mostly by my mum rather than me) to pass on and equipment they might use like the moses basket.

KSal · 22/01/2011 22:52

CSWS i chuck the stained stuff, the rest has been going in the friends/charity shop pile

Our clear out was very mini, but we are having new flooring fitted in the nursery v soon, so needed to empty some stuff out of it in readiness. Who knows, maybe the baby will actually sleep in the nursery soon and my bed will be my own again (and then I'll moan that I'm lonely instead Wink)!

I'm certain... its how i'm getting myself through this bit... there's a bit of the 'this too shall pass', but mainly 'I won't have to do it again' Grin

mind you if i say it too often, fate will come and bite me on the bum and I'll end up pg...

I weighed j today pepper, after our comments yesterday. He is 10.1kg, so actually a couple of lbs lighter than Martha. How does that compare with your dd?

Last night Q was sick... all over my chest and stomach. Fortunately, that's where it all went so no mess to clean up in the bed, but unfortunately, Dh was then sick immediately after. I must have some sort of mother's instinct because as soon as DH was done vomiting, I went into the bathroom to vomit. I had felt nauseous all day, and had not eaten, only had water/juice so was dreadful. Have spent the day disinfecting and cleaning and changing sheets... though my whole body hurts and feeling really shaking and tired with a massive headache. Q seems fine Confused. He was sick several times on friday, then fine... then sick sat at around 10pm... fine from then until today... still seems fine, we'll see what tonight brings. ugh.

Going to try to go into work tomorrow as Q seems fine, but I think I'll aim for a half day as I'm feeling rubbish... And I can't just not go in because I have no plans for a substitute teacher... afternoon is easier to plan for and can do so in the morning.

I can't believe he threw up all over me. It was most disgusting.

StarExpat · 23/01/2011 20:25

Oh and TMI disgusting alert.

Avert your eyes NOW if you don't want to read something vomit inducing. (more than last post Wink ).

When I was vomiting, I really, actually, totally wet myself Blush Blush Blush Shock Shock Blush :(

WTF? I know this is "pelvic floor" but does this mean mine is nonexistent? This has not happened to me before...
How do I get my pelvic floor back in shape so this doesn't happen again? I do not understand the exercises.

I am so Blush so be gentle with me...I couldn't help it... couldn't even try... was very odd.

I have no idea how much Q weighs. We don't have a scale. Am I supposed to be taking him in for check ups?

Once I had a minor "leakage" when having a very full bladder and not having a chance to get to the loo and something extremely funny has happened. Blush but that's the only time. And was nothing like this time. Ok, I do hope it's just that bladder was full...

I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow feeling better.

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/01/2011 21:10

Oh I hope you feel better by morning star, but if you don't then please don't go in, as you might make all the children sick too :(.

The wetting self thing happened to me once. It was when I was about 13 weeks pg with ds1, and had the GTT test that made me violently ill and had to be abandoned and dh had to come and get me from the hospital. On the way home I was throwing up into a bag and whilst doing so I also wet myself. Was delightful Hmm. I wouldn't worry too much about it star if it was just a one off.

StarExpat · 23/01/2011 21:17

All of the children in my class have had this. I had 7 out 2 weeks ago dropping one by one then last week the other 8 tools turns in groups of 2 and 3. I'll probably try to request help for the morning if I do go in and still not well and just get plans and paperwork done, keeping away from the children.

Glad I'm not the only one who has wet herself! :)

StarExpat · 23/01/2011 21:22

My phone posted too early. Csws that must have been awful. At least I was in the bathroom already and Having my period so a lot absorbed into pantiliner/tampon- boak. I can't imagine being in the car and having to just wait until you got home to deal with it all.

Thanks, pistachio :)
But I'm not pregnant - both of these stories are while pregnant. I know I'm not because I'm having my period right now.

That does make sense! Thanks!! I'll try those throughout the day.... Thank you for taking the time to explain that so eloquently. I really appreciate it! :) :)

ronshar · 24/01/2011 10:10

Star if it helps I wet myself years ago while waiting for a cab to take my drunk ass home. Lucky it was winter and I had tights onGrin That was post dd1 and lots of stiches to my bits!

William has Chicken Pox. I love how the spots just magically appear, more every time I look. Amazing.

StarExpat · 24/01/2011 10:27

Oh poor W :( As good as it is to get them out of the way early, it is just awful. I hope he isn't too ill with them in the next few days. They do get so gross. Fortunately, Q didn't know to scratch them when he got them. Now, he probably would - can't imagine the nightmare trying to get him not to itch.

Piriton was fab, though.

Thanks, Ronshar :) I had a full episiotomy and stitches after Q so maybe it's just ruined...

pepperrabbit · 24/01/2011 10:40

Have you put him in a warm bath ronshar - it's like one of those magic painting games - everywhere the water touches more appear!
Grin
how are feeling today star?

StarExpat · 24/01/2011 10:53

I'm feeling better, thanks. Just exhausted. But exhausted I can handle. Being sick was not nice. Exhaustion is something I'm used to.
