Hello!

Anyone there?

Where's everyone?

Awwwwwwwwful weather here. Proper torrential rain for second day in a row. Horrible.

Skillbo · 25/06/2012 00:09

Hello lovely juners - so sorry to have been awol for so long and missed so many of our gorgeous babies birthdays so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to them all Smile

I am trying to.remember what everyone.has been up to but O still totally rubbish sleeping so apologies if i mix names up...

zhen - we did gambado's for J's actual birthday and it was my first visit... So impressed and we didn't even have.cupcake rides... j just happy to run about like a loon for hours and hours! The house party went well too although still finding glittery stars on the carpet despite lots of hoovering Smile

gauchita - glad you enjoyed your camping although does.sound rather luxurious! That's the way to do it though! And was super impressed with your pinata - hidden talents there lady! Good to hear D is ok - poor soul.seems to be under the weather a lot Sad

Kind of on that, hope all of you who were ill or had poorly little ones have all recovered. Have they decided how to treat BIL yet ninja? I hope he's getting a chance to spend time with his new baby - any name yet? Best of luck to him though x

snow - sounds hard not being able to plan and hope you've managed to sort out a pre-school place or a short break... Being away from dh must also be hard so big hugs!

june - 8,5 stone!!! Holy moly - i didn't realise it was that much... Good work lady!

vene - imagine you're sunning it up somewhere in your van - sounds wonderful! We're taking our first 'family of 4' holiday in a couple.of weeks to poole and can't wait!

Back to work in 3 weeks though - time has really flown this time although it has been busy! I best dash as O bound to wake soon - he's in a gro-bag for the 1st time as has mastered rolling so probably going to be quite disturbed.

j also waking a lot at the.moment too - anyone else experiencing this? Combo of bad dreams, wanting cuddles, wanting to sleep with me (for the first time ever so think it could be O related!). I really feel for her as she's always been a good sleeper and this really throws her off... Good thing being sleep deprived is my natural state these days Smile

Take it easy lovely juners

Marking place!

June2009 · 29/06/2012 00:07

heya!
We need to think of a name for the next thread...
June 2009 "I want to do it by MYSELF"
Do you get that a lot? We get that 20 times a day, together with: "if you say this again I'm going to run away!!"
or is it just mine??
Hope all the birthdays went well, we had a small-ish party at home (7 children and their mums, four dads in total inc. dh), had home made sandwiches and chicken wings, couple of salads and hired a face painter which was fab, the children and most mums got their faces painted :D
gauchita the food at your party sounds really lovely :D We'd upgraded our flights to business with points we collected this year and it was totally brilliant.
Well after being asked to leave the BA lounge because C. was crying too loud (bastards!!! I'd started packing as soon as she started crying but it still took me over 5 minutes because I was on my own and packing while holding an overtired child is not so easy) anyway the plane left at 2am, she was exhausted (hence the crying) and slept the whole flight back, we slept too, it was bliss :D

venetian I hope C. turns into a really lovely child soon, any tips welcome :)

The nap/no nap transition is hard to figure out, complete nightmare sometimes!

ninja how is your bil?
snow how is it going?
skillbo and zhen I dont know why I keep getting you mixed up, sorry :(
zhen you did really good with this poor homeless boy x
skillbo we haven't had a bad night's sleep from C for quite a a while, having said that though she goes down around 10pm and wakes up at 6am.
I know 10pm is WAY too late, this is all to do with the nap/no nap nightmare we're having at the moment.

Tomorrow I am going to the cinema with some friends from the gym and I cannot WAIT, I havent been to the cinema in years!
dh and I dont particularly like the same films and so it feels like such a waste to pay for childcare to go and see something you dont really want to see. dh goes with his brother every now and then and I'm so glad I found someone who would come with me! Excited like a teenager :D

speak soon juners!

Gauchita · 30/06/2012 15:21

Hi all!

June, your holidays sound great, glad you had a great time. Shame on BA for asking you to leave when you were evidently already getting ready to flee. It's so hard when flight times are so late/early. I remember taking one with both at 6am, had to be at airport at 3.30, Jesus, I shiver at the memory Grin

Skillbo, M sometimes wakes with dreams/nightmares. It happens a few times a week these days. She's usually not too bothered, just talks in her sleep, complains a bit and then falls asleep. Others she wakes and asks for milk Hmm Grin

How are you all? Please ladies don't tell me our thread is... dying... Shock Come on, let's start a new one. We could include something about having "threenagers" Grin I read a post on FB from Tee that included the word and I had a good laugh.

On my own today, well, with both DC of course Grin DH's in London at a wedding of some friends of ours. He'll be back tonight . travelling by train so at least he'll sleep a bit ha!

Had a bday party v v v early today, 9am Grin Both had a great time, though.

Not long til bedtime Grin

June2009 · 01/07/2012 17:43

Am still here gauchita people do drop in and out, don't they :)

June 2009: threenagers at the ready?

how about that? x

ZhenThereWereTwo · 02/07/2012 17:36

Hi everyone :)

Hi Gauchita, threenagers is a great idea, N is certainly expressing her own opinions these days and sulking like a teenager.

Skillbo glittery things get everywhere don't they, I am still finding glitter in the strangest of places after we used glitter at playgroup last week. Like J, N is also having nightmares and waking more, she talks about monsters too, must be a phase. Recently she has become more clingy wanting cuddles just after her sister has been in our arms. I hope the return to work goes well for you.

June sorry to hear about BA's unfriendly and unhelpful attitude. Don't worry about the mix-up with the names, probably because we both had babies recently. N is transitioning to no nap too and was going to bed close to 10pm when she was still napping. Now she has dropped it (except when ill) she goes to bed at 8.30pm on average and sleeps for 12 hours. Hope you enjoyed the cinema. Good idea for new thread title :)

Snow, Ninja, Vene, AllOverIt - hope all is well with you too x

Having a bad day, big N is ill, little N teething. Ran out of Calpol last night and sent DH out to withdraw cash and buy more. He took savings card by mistake, card got taken at machine but he didn't phone me just told me when he got home. By the time I reported card stolen (suspicious people hanging around ran off when card got taken by machine so probably a fraud device on machine) they had already withdrawn £250 which was most of our money for next two weeks. Have reported to the police and to the bank, but they might dispute paying it back because it was DH who had the card before the fraud event. Won't know for up to 10 days if we will get it back Angry Sad

Skillbo · 02/07/2012 23:10

Good evening ladies.. Agree about threenagers - the day j turned 3 she became a needy, screamy little madam girl Sad

Both O & J have some sort of bug, bunged up and snotty with a mean cough. O really struggling and up every hour at least - am pretty popped. Can't work out if he's teething as well?

Such bad luck zhen, i really hope it gets sorted out soon.. You've reported it properly so i would hope you'll get it back? We also have 'cuddle me' as a weapon here - sweet yet aggravating Smile

gauchita - i hope the wedding went well... Am very Envy of your dh's possible nap - i like snoozing on trains and would kill for a couple of hours straight sleep!

On that note, sorry to be such a 'me' post but both kids sleeping poorly so best hit the hay, night all

Skillbo · 02/07/2012 23:29

will we begin to miss the 'terrible' twos ?

So here is our new thread, who knows what the next year will bring Smile

Gauchita · 03/07/2012 07:40

Bye-bye terrible-twos thread! You've been a great source of wisdom and place for ranting supporting each other. Wink

Gauchita · 03/07/2012 12:21

Zhen, how cr*p Sad I don't understand how it happened. Were people behind him/around him when it happened? How annoying for you. I hope the bank gives you the money back, it certainly isn't fair for them not to when it was stolen from you Sad Will you be ok for the next couple of weeks? x
