snowwombat · 09/05/2012 21:41

Thanks gauchita. Sadly, but not in surprisingly he didn't get it. Buggery bollocks and many worse swear words

How did your job go yesterday?what did you do with d?
skillbo glad your in your new place.don't worry about the space, your old stuff will expand and fill it up, no worries :)
ninja scout camp sounds great fun. We did brownies as kids, I hope mine will join when they are old enough
june did you have a good girl's night out?
zhen how are you doing?getting any more sleep? Oh and how do you deal with n needing the toilet after she goes to bed? Potty by bedside?

Today was not a good tt day.A wee'd all over the kitchen floor despite the potty being next to him.he really doesn't care if he is wet.several accidents at nursery too.

Z is poorly still but on the mend. Her language is exploding at the moment.so much fun hearing her new sounds and words

Tomorrow is another day. Hope your ok everyone. We have hit 900 posts

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 11/05/2012 17:19

afternoon all Smile

skillbo, no worries, he's fine, just a bruised head . . . again. Just for you he made sure he was in the accident book again this week Grin with another bruised head. How's J's arm? Pleased to hear the new house is good, you will be surprised at how quickly all the extra space fills up with crap and you start wanting something bigger!

gauchita, loved the lastest photo, how cute is M! Hope you're all feeling better.

snow, sorry to hear about dh's job, is there anything else likely to come up? They're trying to close our local hospital again so don't be thinking about coming over our way! Scout camp was great, they came home covered in mud and very soggy, you couldn't see the colour of their boots they were so caked in it. My dd1 was dreadful for accidents, she was way to nosey to go to the toilet, she may have missed something important, I'm surprised E isn't the same tbh.

dd3 had an appointment at the eye unit today, she still uses the picture cards as she doesn't know any letters yet, so we'd got to about the third one and she was taking her time so E told her it was a fish Grin it was very funny. Unfortunately she now has a cataract in her right eye as well as her left, but this one is growing faster and it's likely will affect her vision soon so we'll be back there sooner than we expected.

bil finally got his scan! They're saying now that they think he's had this since childhood and for some reason it's started growing, they're still talking radio/chemotherapy but not until after the baby arrives, whether that was their idea or bils I'm not sure.

June2009 · 12/05/2012 23:55

For night time TT there is a bathroom upstairs (where the bedrooms are) and there is apotty in there. C goes to the toilet last thing in the evening (as part of delaying technique...) and very rarely needs to go during the night.
she goes first thing in the morning (that's between 5:30 and 6:00 nowadays unfortunately).
If she does wake up needing a wee she usually calls on her way to the toilet, asking us to switch the light on because she can't see anything.
We did it at the same time as day training, i just forgot to put the nappy on for her nap and carried on without.

snowwombat · 14/05/2012 14:49

Hi girls,
june thanks for the tt info. We are going ok,managed to do a 3hr trip without any accidents. The main problem is the screaming meltdown that accompanies putting on of undies every morning.
ninja what a blow about Dd3s cataract, will it be monitoring for now and then possible surgery?
gauchita how did your 'old' job go?are you going to take on more work?
skillbo any progress on the old place?are your landlords still being difficult
zhen you ok?

Mad week, travelling again later this and next week, but managing to catch up with friends while I am away.

Gauchita · 15/05/2012 09:30

Marking place!

Gauchita · 15/05/2012 15:30

Hey ladies,
Sorry for the "me" post. Anyone there to distract me a bit? Grin Company's AGM is going on at the minute and I'm bricking it. DH is so so so stressed these days. I'd like to be a fly (and one with a babysitter ha!) on the wall right now!

AllOverIt · 15/05/2012 16:50

Hello all.... been gone so long I don't know where to start! Hope you are all well!

DD is fine, though we're having a nightmare with TT. DS was the same, though he had lots of wee accidents, DD cannot tell she needs a poo until it's happened sigh. A month in and I'm so fed up with it!

We got a puppy (surrogate baby #3!) and she's now nearly 8 months... it was hard work, but worth it. We've all fallen head over heels in love with her!

Anyway, hope you're all well and happy Smile

snowwombat · 15/05/2012 19:19

gauchita you ok?just seen your message. Handing you g+t, need one here.A has been a devil today. What us stressing you about the agm? Hugs
alloverit lovely to see you!a puppy Envy. What sort? Glad to be in the company of another tt refusnik.a weed his pants 3 times in 2hrs today. Sigh. I think Z might be ready before him.
Kids unsettled, got to go.

AllOverIt · 15/05/2012 19:24

She's a show-type cocker spaniel, the ones with the crazy ears! She's chocolate and tan in colour and really beautiful, and completely bonkers!

DD is normally great at the wees and is dry at night. No way I'm getting rid of the night nappy though. Not prepared for shitty sheets at 3am!! DS cracked the pops straight off, the wees took a lot longer. At least the pops only happen once or twice a day at most so it's actually easier to deal with, if completely gross!

Planning her birthday parties at the mo. one for all her preschool friends on the Friday am and then another for all our family and close friends. It's proving to be a little stressful.... Sad

AllOverIt · 15/05/2012 19:24

Pops? Bloody autocorrect - that should be poos Blush

Gauchita · 15/05/2012 21:09

Evening ladies!

Alloverit, glad to "read" you again Smile Although I "see" you on FB so not so out of touch Grin

Snow, have PMd you on FB Smile You asked me about my "real" job =D I absolutely would love to be able to do it "full-time" but as I'm a freelancer I work "as and when". And as I've just come back from mat leave until project managers start to call me back and "remember" my name etc it can be a couple of months. I loved it though, it made me remember how much I love my job Smile

Ninja, sorry to hear about dd3's eyes Sad What have they told you? Will they operate (well, no idea whether they operate on young children actually)? You made me laugh with what E said though Smile bless him. Glad your BIL has been scanned. Does this mean it's malign? Would they do radiotherapy/chemo if it were benign?

June, well done C, she's doing really well! Smile How's your PT (personal trainer, not potty-training) Grin

Right, DC in bed, flying solo tonight as DH's not back yet.

I'm extremely happy as I've just received news from my lovely lovely translator friend (remember her? the one with a DD1 with DS). She's given birth a little while ago to a perfectly healthy baby girl Smile They were really worried as scans had picked up random worrying stuff but doctors were not 100% sure of anything! I'm so happy for her Smile

We've started planning M's birthday party. We're having an arty party as she's really into arts and crafts. We've hired a hall and an art-entertainer (?) who will do all sorts of crafts with them for an hour. Then some games, food and cake and presto! Grin Theme will be Rapunzel (Tangled) as M's obsessed with her at the minute (think DVD and music every single day ). Rapunzel paints and sketches a lot in the movie as well so it's all related Grin I started yesterday attempting to make a piñata in the shape of Rapunzel's tower (I know I know...) I'm doing it well in advance in case I need to go for a plan B ha ha ha. So far it's going well although I'm not very good at these things, well I've never been the "crafty" type Grin so we'll see how it goes.

Mega post, sorry. Waves!

Gauchita · 17/05/2012 09:45

Anyone there?

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 17/05/2012 10:20
Grin

gauchita, how did the AGM go in the end? There're still talking cancer to bil, but confused myself really but then so is bil I think, his memory isn't great and dh has spoken to him, not sil as he doesn't want to stress her out. They'll operate on dd3 when the cataract grows across her central vision and remove it then or possibly sooner if the glare it causes gets too much. She has one in the other eye but that's not growing anywhere near as much and as she's blind in that eye anyway so it'll be a while before they do anything about it. The problem is she's reliant on this one eye so anything like this has a big impact, her 'good' eye isn't in great health anyway so this surgery carries quite a bit of risk. Fab news for your friend, do you get to see her much since she moved? How's the pinata?

alloverit, your pooch is gorgeous, the dcs seem to love her too Smile

snow, how's the tt going now? Yep that old chesnut of watchful waiting Grin back at the eye unit with dd3 in 3 months so we'll see what hte change is then, not looking forward to surgery.

june, C's doing great Smile E is nowhere near dry at night.

at least it's almost the weekend Smile and hopefully another one with sunshine! Waves to all Smile

Gauchita · 17/05/2012 11:02

Ninja Grin Hadn't heard that one before Grin

Sorry to hear about dd3's eye, but in a way glad it's something that's "fixable" (although I know what you mean re.surgery Sad) Does she complain in any way because of it? I loved her pictures on the horse riding session Smile She looked great Smile What did she say afterwards?

Overcast here, and with a cr*p forecast for the next 4-5 days, boo hoo.

Pinata going well, I think Grin Up until yesterday it looked like a nearly 3ft condom Grin but now it's sort of taking shape. It just takes aaaages, with all the several layers of the mix ((pva glue + water) + kitchen roll paper) and the time it takes them to dry, I'm glad I started this early Grin I can only do a little bit every day. <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&sa=X&biw=1280&bih=664&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=81V_vpPEghucNM:&imgrefurl=disney.wikia.com/wiki/Rapunzel%27s_Tower&docid=U4ObF87Rc6h07M&imgurl=images.wikia.com/disney/images/a/aa/Tangled-Rapunzel-Tower.jpg&w=330&h=425&ei=Xcy0T9XtH8TX0QWJwajuDw&zoom=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">This is what I'm aiming at Hope that huge link works.

I have an appt to get my ears syringed next week. One of them is fully blocked Hmm No stereo sound for me this week ha ha ha. I don't know what to expect from the procedure Does it hurt? Anyone had it done before?

AllOverIt · 17/05/2012 20:52

Blimey Gauchita! That looks impressive! DD is after a Snow White theme.... Disney princesses all round!

waves to other Juners

ZhenThereWereTwo · 17/05/2012 22:43

Hello everyone :) Keep trying to get time to write a decent post and get distracted by little'uns.

Ninja - sorry to hear about DD3's eye, my 86 year old granny has had two cataract operations and both went well. I hope they don't leave it too long before they operate, it must be upsetting for her to be losing vision in her good eye.

Hi AllOverIt - nice to hear from you :) Aw a puppy, we babysat my BIL's once before I had DD2, but the way she cried all night I am glad we didn't get one as now I would have 3 keeping me up at night now!

Snow - big N still goes through phases with the potty where she leaps up too early and manages to wet her knickers and I heard that boys have weaker bladder control than girls (may be a myth), A will do it in his own time (frustrating I know). We bought these to catch the odd accident.

Gauchita - wow remind me to call on you if I ever need a kiddie party planner. BTW ear syringing is great, but a bit gross, they use warm water to get the wax out.

Big N has a cold and keeps wetting the bed at night, even though she has been put on the potty (we keep in bedroom at night), she has been getting quite good at waking when she needs a wee, but always seems to have more accidents when she is ill.

Nearly 3 - doesn't time fly. Big N wants a scooter for her birthday which I may live to regret, can't count the amount of times I have been nearly knocked down by kids flying down the road on those things.

Any ideas on a title for our new thread?

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 18/05/2012 08:50

morning all Smile

gauchita, wow, that's impressive!! Make sure you take a photo when you're done Smile Dd3 doesn't complain, she doesn't understand it all but we have noticed she's being careful outside which probably means the glare is getting to her, trying to persuade her to wear a sun hat but that one needs some work Grin She loves the horse riding, just grins whenever we talk about it. Hope all goes well with the syringing.

zhen, good to hear surgery went well for your granny, it is a worry. Ten days to E's birthday, I'm not entirely sure where these three years have gone! Hope big N is feeling better soon Smile

hope it stays nice for the weekend! Waves to all Smile

AllOverIt · 20/05/2012 18:05

Hi all.

Zhen - scout only cried for three nights, then she went 'through the night', as it were. It's heartbreaking but worth it! She's now 8 months so much easier! The kids adore her, she's laying snuggled up to poorly DD as we speak. If one of them cries she comes over to cuddle and 'kiss' them Smile. We all love her to bits. Once she's been spayed we're adopting another dog too. She's so sociable, she's desperate for a playmate!

DD has temp of 40 today :( snuggles on the sofa all day... Sad

snowwombat · 21/05/2012 16:53

excuse the post and run, i'm away (again). Enjoying some gorgeous weather here in g e r m a n y , nice walk between hotel and hospital.

Any ideas for birthday presents for our 3 yr olds? I think we may also go the scooter route, A loves anyone elses.

gauchita how's the pinata, impressive lady! And party organising. Must get my arese into gear. Nursery have a trip for the day of A's birthday. I thought I might go along and take cake. Howver we have just had a letter home to say only bought cake? Hmm Angry. There are no allergies in the nursery. Why would I choose to buy a cake when I can make the one he wants (complete with as much food colouring as I like?) Anyone else experienced this?
ninja TT progress- has been two days in the last 5 with no accidents! Resorted to bribing with chocolate. Thankfully he is like his mother and the bribery works
zhen thanks for the link, they look good. poor big N, is she over her cold. Coughing and pelvic floor aren't a great combination, whether you are 2 or a grown up
alloverit Is DD better? Poor thing. High temps are yuck.
june things ok with you? Is your trainer training again

June2009 · 21/05/2012 22:27

Heya sorry really not consistent with posting, very busy between work childcare and the gym. My trainer is back, it is good to have him back :)
I'm not sure dh likes my new body, either that or he has low libido at the moment, am not sure but it's sending my confidence spiralling down i think. He's very busy with work, most times I talk to him and he's completely absorbed into something else and doen't even reply to me. not sure what to do.
I'll try and catch up now! x

Gauchita · 21/05/2012 22:58

Evening ladies!

Zhen, hope big N is over her cold now. Over here it's snot snot and more snot Grin I can't get over how often they come down with bugs. How's little N? Are you enjoying life without any builders? I bet you are!

Alloverit, how's E? Hope she's feeling better.

Ninja, oh sunhats, yeah. One of those hard tasks to achieve Grin Hope DD3 gets the help she needs from the docs.

Snow, how bizarre... we've never been told something like that, no. If there're no allergies I can't think of a reason why they'd say that. Could you ask them maybe? I know I'd be v tempted Grin I'm not having luck with PMs at the moment so I'm not sure whether you got one I sent you last Tue Hmm Grin

June, if I hadn't met your DH I'd think we're married to the same guy Grin Although mine never seems to lose his libido, unlike mine which is tampered by BFing and exhaustion, pah! I get the same with DH at times, I talk/ask/comment and it's as if I'm having a monologue. He's either looking at the laptop screen or his phone, always with work. I've started picking the moments now... if I see him ubber busy I just wait, but then if he seems OK I go for the "please look at me while we speak" approach. Otherwise I know he's "hearing" but not "listening"

Pinata is doing fine, I was a bit lazy this weekend and didn't advance much. You all said "impressive", well that's what I'm aiming at, it doesn't necessarily mean I'll get it Grin I resumed my duties this morning. It's looking like a tower now, although still white and paper-y. Tomorrow I'll tackle some details like windows and the top part in general before painting it. We'll see!

Off to bed, D's very snotty and coughing (yet again) so a long night awaits, I think.

Waves!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 22/05/2012 10:17

morning all Smile

alloverit, hope E is feeling better now.

snow, can you bring some of that weather back here please Grin Trip on A's birthday sounds good! I would think it's a hygiene issue too possibly as most don't guarantee nut free? Although never come across it myself, in fact it's usually encouraged for cake sales etc they're usually good little money makers for pre/schools! Yay to bribery Grin

june, so pleased to hear your trainer is back and working again Smile You look fantastic!!!!

gauchita, can't wait to see the pinata Grin How's D doing? E has been much the same, I'm thinking may be hay fever for him?

at least it's not raining for now kids are loving being able to get out in the garden again, E especially!

thought my sil's baby was going to end up sharing a birthday with ds1 over the weekend. She had anc friday, high blood pressure, so they wouldn't let her home kept her in and said they'd induce first thing saturday morning, how dangerous this was etc. Saturday morning they sent her home saying she was fine Hmm so angry for her, talk about pile a bit more stress on top, the baby is due begining of next week so hardly that early to be doing it. Bil's docs have said they'll give him a week or two with the new baby and then start treatment, they've warned him it's going to be heavy going so want him to have time with the baby where he feels ok Sad so obviously there are knock on effects of when the baby arrives.

pils were supposed to be over for ds1's birthday, they live 5 minutes up the road, do bugger all at the weekend and only ever stay half an hour because they can't leave the dog Hmm They said they'd come when dh spoke to them on friday but they never turned up (they have form for this although do sometimes turn up) instead of ringing to say they couldn't make it they just don't turn up and then refuse to answer home phone, mobiles which of course leaves the kids upset as it's their birthday and they're expecting them. They can't even be bothered to put a card in the post, the kids have to wait till we next go round there to get it. And then we find out in the evening that bil had asked pil to ring us and pass on the news about sil Angry

anyway, looks like it may be a nice day so off to hang some washing out, waves to all Smile

Skillbo · 24/05/2012 22:51

Evening ladies..

Sorry for the length between posts but O isn't sleeping well still and so am trying to catch the zzzzz's in the evening so hit the hay early!

We seem to have lots of parties to go to all of a sudden - I guess it's that time of year and with J now at nursery, she meets more children! We're poor after the move so J is having a fancy dress party at our new house - no theme as I know MIL has bought J a doctors outfit for her birthday and she'll want to wear that but didn't think 'Jobs' or 'What I want to be when I grow up' themes worked that well? Not sure how well it'll go as we went to Peppa Pig world last year and MIL threw the house party... Ah well, 10 three year olds in our new place will definitely christen it...

Gauchita - hope DH has managed to de-stress a little and that D is cool. I always remember that our 2 share a birthday! I am also very impressed with the whole pinata thang and bet M will love it!

Alloverit - not sure if you've namechanged or we've just not met but hello - and Envy about the puppy.. so cute

Ninja - was it a milestone birthday for DS1? I hope you all had a great time but am sad that your PILs didn't make the effort. My parents are similar but they're not 5 minutes away - that's just rude! Big hugs to your SIL and BIL - they're definitely going through it at the moment

June - hope you're having a good week. I think you look fantastic as well and should be so proud of your hard work - I wish I was even close to feeling good about my body. Also glad to hear about your trainer - must be good to have him back.

Snow and Zhen - I sympathise about the TT.. it's so frustrating as they basically have it and go long spells being amazing and then seem to lose it a bit! J has had quite a few accidents over the last week which is unlike her.. have felt like I'm snapping a bit at the mo but lack of sleep, stress of stuff everywhere and her general 'about to be a three-nager' behaviour - I don't feel too unjustified.

This weather is just glorious but am always unprepared for it... I can't ever seem to find the nice shaded bit near to the park when we go out either so overheat! Have a lie-in planned for the morning as DH will take J and O out for a few hours so I can catch up on some sleep. He had an extra 4 hours this morning whilst I braved a playgroup so am looking forward to bed. So on that note, good night all Smile

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 26/05/2012 13:46

just thought I'd let you all know, my new nephew arrived safely early this morning, 8lb8 and at the moment remains nameless Grin Grin Grin

Gauchita · 26/05/2012 22:57

Evening all!

Ninja, awwww congratulations!!! What lovely news. And so close to E's birthday as well Smile Not long now! Are you doing anything this weekend or next? Sorry to hear about your PILs general attitude towards their GC Sad As an adult you just go "meh" until you see your children feel disappointed because of how they act, they you go Angry

Skillbo, yep same day Smile A fancy party sounds fun! Children love dressing up so you can never go wrong with that Smile What I want to be when I grow up sounds like a great idea, I know M and her friends are into "jobs" atm so they're dressing up as nurses/doctors/builders all the time Grin
Oh, very very Envy about lie-ins lady Grin Hope you enjoyed that.

Pah, long and exhausting week here. Tuesday I was in hospital with D all night (they discharged us at 5.30am Hmm) because he wasn't breathing well, poor thing. He has another chest infection and is on ABs yet again. Poor poor thing doesn't seem to get over one bug that he gets another Sad He's fine in himself now though, his happy self as usual Grin

M seems to be doing well with PT. This morning we were out and about and I totally forgot to ask her in over 2hs if she wanted to go... suddenly I remembered and slightly panicked ha! She held it until I manically quickly found a loo, in a Nero. Thanks to one of the members of staff there, btw, who held the door for me to pass with the pushchair + buggyboard, handed me the loo key and then held the door for me again to exit Grin

D has entered the world of "bum-shuffling". It's highly entertaining to watch. No crawling yet, though.

Right, too late for me now, off to bed!
