CakeandRoses · 22/09/2010 00:24

Hey, I posted recently on t'other (quiet) thread. Are you here or there Confused

Had DD 27th July but didn't get round to posting on the antenatal threads - can I join in now or am i too late?

Needle · 22/09/2010 00:29

I'm pretty sure no one will object to a latecomer! My DD was due 27th, but was born 26th in the end- how're you getting on with yours? x

stac14 · 22/09/2010 07:20

welcome cake we talk loads on here lol. Is dd your first? My dd was born on 7th july. Their a great bunch on here i'm sure you'll settle in fine.

woodlands sometimes lo can be overtired or collicky so that keeps them awake. Hope he settled for you

Rileigh slept till 6.20 has had her milk and has now crashed again, now just have to get ds up for school x

Hellooo

I dont even know when Dylan woke up last night, I stay laying down and feed him on my side.

Hes asleep on me now which is annoying cos I need to express one side but he'll wake if I put him down. Maybe I should just go back to sleep.

viksam · 22/09/2010 08:44

Morning all,
Lovin our new thread! Cheers stac
woodlands is it that he wont sleep in his moses or just wont sleep anywhere? Is he crying?
Welcome cake Hows things? feel free to talk about anything and everything, theres always someone who has done it/knows about it/ offers an opinion etc so go for it!
DH yes, if sleep is an option always take it!! I should heed my own words but here i am on here while Devon naps. He went through AGAIN last night!! 11-7 WOW, how long will it last i wonder?? Just wish i could get him into his moses before 11,but thats the next hurdle i guess.

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/09/2010 09:02

Oooh Id love Dylan to sleep through, is there any babies left who arent sleeping through??

I chose to express instead of sleep, now we're both awake although would really like to go to sleep.

Going to the mother and baby group again today Grin

dh yea, we're no where near sleeping through. Last night he went to sleep at 6.30 which was a first, up at 10.30 fed then screamed til midnight (I confess I left him to it around 11.30 and slept on the sofa) I woke up and moved back upstairs at 1.30, he woke at 3.30, Lucy woke at 5.30 and then Sam again at 6.30, L at 7.

I hate, hate hate hearing him cry but when he's plain refusing to settle and just crying/bobbing up and down on my shoulder, sometimes I get so angry and frustrated that I just have to leave him to it...then of course I feel guilty that he's crying by himself, can't win!

Thanks for the new thread stac, glad one of us pulled our thumb out lol.

Welcome cakes :)

Chulita · 22/09/2010 09:57

Oh, one more thing, I've just ordered a new winter coat but it doesn't have a hood. I've always worn like ski jacket type things and used the hood but I wanted something a bit smarter. Do you lot reckon it's better to go for something smarter with a hood? or just deal without one? can't decide whether I need a hood or not, such a decision Grin I love wearing hats so it might not be so bad...

Yea, I looked at that one as well as the one recommended on that coat thread :) this is the one I've opted for. I never wear black but I need it with this extra stone and a half I'm carrying!

both coats are lovely ladies, i havent even looked at a winter jacket yet. I better especially with the way the weathers going. I love winter nights but I keep thinking bout lo's going out when its freezing. Any ideas where to get a really good snow suit? X

CakeandRoses · 22/09/2010 10:48

thanks for letting me in, i was worried the door policy might me stricter and i'd have to show my scan pics or summat Grin

i'm pretty gobby too so think i'll fit right in here.

DD is my 2nd, i have a nearly 2yo son too.

on the v important matter of coats, DH has just bought me one as an early bday present. It's a navy cord John Lewis one cos i look bloody great in navy and mostly corpse-like in black. I'm about a stone heavier than usual (can barely remember 'usual' tho) - mainly due to my monster-bosom i reckon, so i'm hoping it still looks ok in a few months when I WILL have lost weight.

DH I'm amazed so many are sleeping thru, my DS didn't sleep thru until, erm, about 20 months! DD is miles better but still not doing what i call sleeping thru. She feeds at 7.30pm, 11.30pm (i wake her), 5am then 8ish. This I can handle as in theory it only involves one wakeup (if horror 2 yo doesn't wake as he has been this week due to bloody teething).

Needle · 22/09/2010 10:51

Urgh. Don't even get me started on the baby weight. I've gone from a 32A to a 36E. Yesterday I went through the huge bin bag of lingere that went into the loft at the beginning of pregnancy. Wow. I'm never getting back into any of it, so there are going to be some really well dressed ladies in Africa

I had just started losing weight when I fell pg and I am sick of be a fatty. I havent got the belly but find it hard to loose weight due to having pcos and an underactive thyroid (not meant to be an excuse) so trying zumba to see if that will helpx

my mil is loaded, got a merc, jag and ither cars and she the only one who hasnt bought lo anything, she said she would get a highchair one ive picked is £85 shes tol sil she will give us 40, as she bought sils and hers was only 15!! i pointed out to sil she also bought a £500 pushchair for her!! but after reading what your mil is like i think i have it lucky!! you must really love your dh as i would have gone long ago!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/09/2010 12:12

memphis his ex sounds like a right loon! Id have found that quite funny as my DP sounds similar to yours, not a big drinker and has never touched drugs.

Had a nice hour and a half nap earlier with Dylan, really makes me feel so much better, otherwise Im a moody, tearful, tired mess.
