Welcome to the thread for ladies who's lo's were born on Oct 2007!

Some of us have been here from the begining and some have joined along the way. New ladies always welcome to join in and chat with us, we're a friendly bunch!

:0)

Hey ladies, here's the new thread, had to start it cause the old one is nearly full and Inzi has been in touch to say she can't post on it as it won't load on her phone. She has been booked in for a section on fri!!!

Hope you are all well, off to bed for now

Sorry, fT I didn't reply, the police have basically said I need to contact my solicitor for more information/contact arrangement and to ring them if he does anything. The PC that has been keeping in touch with me was pretty disgusted that he will be able to contact dd but she said there's nothing she can do, it's been what the courst has decided.

FloriaTosca · 07/02/2011 15:13

NC Well at least they have done a little something (and glad your pc is disgusted with the courts too)..if he breaks any of their restrictions he will almost certainly be kept in on remand until his hearing. You know him best and how he reacts to authority .. if you think that he will obey the courts I would stick to your normal routine and keep the kids settled, though might make really regular things like pick-up/drop off times at school a bit more varied..(ie drop L. off with a friend nearer to school to walk in together or start her at pre/after school club so he cant see/threaten you while he is, at present, allowed to see her) and I would definately contact a solicitor to put supervised contact only arrangements in place.

Inzi sorry xposted earlier...wasnt ignoring you, honest. Smile Alex and I are recovering pretty well thanks for asking...though he keeps saying he needs to go back to bed with some 'pink medecine' every time he sneezes Grin Your colds sound awful Sad I hope you all get better soon and bah! humbug! Angry to the latest snow fall...how very dare it! I'm so sorry for those of you further North...I thought this endless wind and driving rain that we are sufering was bad enough but you must be so sick of being snow bound . But it is great to hear how well you have done again on your diet, you will so much have deserved that Wine and it is lovely to hear that your MIL has been given some relief and a reprieve even if only for a few months Sad at least she will get to see her grandchildren grow a little more and hopefully some enjoy some sunshine again before the sadly inevitable ... and your poor Dh can get to treasure what time he has left with her.

strawberrylace · 07/02/2011 15:51

neeps - so sorry that J is still poorly - sounds a bit like what the twins had, so i can guess a bit at how you are feeling. the twins ended up on NG tubes so they could be fed some expressed milk without having to work for it.

it was distressing at the time, but at least i knew they were getting nourishment, and i got to have a bit of a rest, as i didn't have to express as often as they were tube fed, so i got the nurses to do it in the middle of the night and got 4 hours sleep in one go!
i do hope she is better soon x

strawberrylace · 07/02/2011 16:06

NC - I second what the ever-sensible FT has said. it must be such a worry for you. if you feel like a break at half term (or even before) you would be welcome here, just let me know...
LLL - so exciting that you can see your house being transformed. you know we will all want to come for a nosy when its done don't you?! Hope ben settles down soon
QoL ? if you need people to vet potential dates, you know we will don?t you?
Inzi ? congrats on the weightloss ? its fab that you are nearly there. Hoping that you all get better soon
FT ? Alex sounds the same as Olly, he loves his medicine too, always wanting some when he has the slightest cough. I bought him a ?Peso medical bag? from ELC the other day as it was half price, so he has been practising on all the soft toys
Thanks for all of you asking about DHs job ? he?s got some part time electrician work, which although its a fair drive away, at least its some money coming in. Then he?s going to use the rest of the time to try and build up his computer repairs business. So he?s at least going to be busy or he will drive me mad being around the house all day, as he never seems to DO anything like cleaning or cooking unless i specifically ask...
Must go and deal with crying twins ? think they want feeding again ? had their second set of jabs today :(

Evening. Sorry I've been distracted, am going to keep the other thread updated with detail and just let you all know we're ok on here as I don't want to take over our thread with news involving scum like ex. Me and girls are at home and going to try to stick to normal routine, school have been good about it so far and have requested a photograph so that all staff can be on guard and dd wont go with him anyway as she is scared. I've said there will be no contact till the access side of it has been though court, seeing solicitor on Thurs so it will be after then. Oh and dd2 must have seen some of it as she asked why I climbed over the seat to get into the car today, so I told her that dd1s dad had pulled it off and she started talking about the police taking him away and him following us. She then begun saying she was going to kill him and kept repeating it in the back of the car. She said he wasn't in the car so thankfully slept through the actual attack. No idea where she's got the other bit's from though although i vaguely remember dd1 sat in the back saying she wanted to kill him after it, so it's possibly that dd2 is repeating that. She doesn't seem traumatised by it so we're going to not speak about it in front of her and hopefully it will be forgotten by her.Sad

Inzi-Such bittersweet news about mil, so happy that she'll have a little longer with you all, but it must be the worst feeling knowing it is going to be sooner rather than later. So so sorry for you all :( I hope you all get rid of your virus soon. Well done you on your dietGrin I'm not quite down to what I was hoping for but am having a break from it atm. I think it was causing my night sweats. Will go back on after a bit, just can't face it atm. How is DHs job going?

Strawberry-How are the twins after their jabs? God, it's bad enough having one ill child, I cannot imagine how you cope with two of them. I secretly think you're wonder woman! Good news about DH getting some work, could be the best thing that could happen.

FT-LOL at Alex liking medicine, dd2 doesn't mind it, but isn't obsessed. How have you been lately, and your cousin? What you thinking for the meet up? you need paypalling soon or want to give us jobs to do? Have you told DH yet? Bet he's so pleased! Grin Wink

I'm going to attempt to get started on assignments tomorrow. I have to do a business plan for something, bit like dragons den. Anyone think of a product or business where I'd need to borrow between £100-200k? Also need to do a research plan on a dissertation topic, probably wont use it now we're moving but still need to do it for this assignment.

Dalrymps · 08/02/2011 10:21

Neeps- So sorry you're going through such a worrying time so soon after J's birth. I hope she starts improving soon. Also hoping you've managed some rest xx

NC- What a time you're having at the moment. I'm so angry for you that that idiot had affected you all so badly. You shouldn't have to be living in fear of what he'll do next. It's just not fair, you're such a once person and don't deserve this! I hope he grows up soon before it's too late and dd doesn't want anything to do with him. ((big hugs)) to you x

FloriaTosca · 08/02/2011 22:44

NC I have dropped another line on your other thread...btw I think not mentioning recent event in front of Shannon is a very good policy...it is truly shocking how much they pick up on and remember isnt it?

Neeps How is Jana today? and how are you coping? xxx

neepsntatties · 09/02/2011 04:41

She was pretty settled during the day but having a difficult night. Not sure why, wind, her cough or both. I am very tired mainly. Can't wait for this to be over.

Dh and I have just resigned ourselves to the fact tha we've been conned by this guy who was meant to be our architect. So upset, lost a lot of money. Going to call the council tomorrow and hope they are kind enough to let us salvage the application or we will have lost a lot more.

How's it going nc? Been thinking of you, hope you are all ok.

NeedCoffee · 09/02/2011 12:29

Aww Neeps, wish we could help somehow. How are you coping with Ds? You getting help? What's happened with architect?

We're ok this end, Shannon is still ill with pox and cold symptoms and I am aching all over my legs and bottom, hope it's not going to be shingles!

neepsntatties · 09/02/2011 14:14

Oh no nc, have you had chicken pox?

Dh can't get in today as dareh now has a temp and is throwing up. WTF is going on!?

Architect won't redo our application to comply with the guidelines, he keeps fobbing us off so now we have been rejected. Hoping council will give us another chance.

NeedCoffee · 09/02/2011 14:24

Yes Neeps, unfortunately :( She's also been complaining of limb pain today, slept till 10am after being up in the night (although I didn't know she was up as dd1 sorted her out as she didn't want to wake me Blush (bless)) and wont eat and all she wants to do is watch Lady and the Tramp, on the 3rd round now. Surely things can't get any worse for you or us now! {touch wood} How's Jana? Bet you're shattered :(

NeedCoffee · 09/02/2011 14:26

Oh and boo to the architect, what a twat! Angry

neepsntatties · 09/02/2011 15:42

They want to x ray her for pneumonia.

Called the council and they won't let us resubmit. Feel so stupid for ever paying that guy. We've lost a lot of money.

As you said, surely it can't get worse.

neepsntatties · 09/02/2011 21:11

Xray came back ok thankfully

NeedCoffee · 09/02/2011 21:29

Oh Neeps, that's good. Is she still improving?

Can you get your money back from him? Or appeal to the council?

I'm at solicitors in morning, better try and get some sleep I suppose.

Dalrymps · 09/02/2011 22:37

Relieved for you the X-ray was clear neeps x

Nc - hope it goes ok in the morning, sleep well x

QueenOfLists · 10/02/2011 12:20

NC - omg, that's awful, especially the effect it's having on dd1 and R. What a horrible position for you to be in. Good that the school is taking things seriously. Agree with everybody else, it just proves you made the right decision. Glad Shannon's ok. How did it go with the solicitor? Bet you really don't feel like doing the assignments or will it be a welcome distraction? What sort of business/product would you like? How about something child/baby orientated? Hope Shannon's chicken pox gets better soon.

Lisa - must be exciting to see the house taking shape! And hurray for medised.

Neeps - sending lots of get-well-soon vibes to Jana and hugs to you. Hope she starts to get better soon and you can relax a bit. Good news on the x-ray. Can't believe you've got to deal with the council on top of everything - that's so unfair that you can't resubmit. Can you get any help from CAB about the architect?

Inzi - hope everyone's cold clears up soon. Good news on mil - hope dh is coping with it ok. Well done with the diet.

Strawberry - glad dh has got some work, at least it will take the strain off for a bit. Hope the twins have recovered from the after-effects of their jabs.

Sorry so many of us are having such a tough start to the year. Sending lots of best wishes vibes to everybody and here's hoping things turn a corner soon.

strawberrylace · 10/02/2011 14:08

NC - how did this morning go? Is Shannon feeling any better?

Neeps - how is Jana, and how is Dareh? must be awful having both of them ill, and not being able to be with them both. any idea on how long Jana will be kept in hospital - you must be climbing the walls! also, can't believe your architect - i second what QoL says about seeing if the CAB can help with getting your money back

the twins seemed fine after their jabs, the nurse was surprised that they didn't cry very much, or bleed very much - she couldn't see where to stick the plasters! Have Olly at home today though - had to get him from pre-school at lunchtime yesterday because he had a really high temperature. he seems back to his normal self now though, so i don't know what that was about. I normally go to a nice baby group today with the twins, so it was a shame to miss that, but i thought it was better to make sure Olly was properly better. unfortunately it has meant i've had to watch too much peppa pig and cbeebies today...

neepsntatties · 10/02/2011 14:33

I feel your pain strawberry, peppa pig is very annoying! Glad both Olly and the twins are ok.

Jana is doing well, they said her lungs sounded better. How long we are in will just depend on how long she needs oxygen for.

Dh now has bug so can't come in to see me. Miss them both.

Great idea about CAB. Will check it out.

strawberrylace · 10/02/2011 14:37

that's good that her lungs sounded better. come on jana - get off the oxygen, you can do it!! boo to sickness bugs - perhaps the only good thing about this may be that you miss the bug??

neepsntatties · 10/02/2011 17:29

I hope so! Can't take much more. Am really missing Dareh, poor boy doesn't have his mummy. He will be seriously spoiled when I get out of here.

Dalrymps · 10/02/2011 21:10

Strawberry- Glad the twin jabs went ok and that O is back to normal Smile

Neeps- good Jana's lungs are sounding better, let's hope it's not much longer till you're all home and well and together. Wish I could do something to help, let me know if there's anything, anything at all x

OP posts:
FloriaTosca · 10/02/2011 22:32

Neeps;..I hope you get some joy from CAB about your architect..I thought they were accountable if they submit plans that dont conform with guidelines.
Fab news that Jana is improving. I'm sure you are missing Dareh but it is a good job that you and Jana are not being subjected to the bugs at home on top of everything else.Hang on in there, I'm sure you will be home soon. Wishing you all well asap.xxx

NC; what did your solicitor say?

Strawberry; Glad the twins did well with their jabs but sorry Olly is under the weather..hope all is back on track tomorrow.

Qol; hope all is well with you...any response on your dating site yet?

Hello may I join?
DS arrived at the end of Oct 2007 by ELCS thanks to being breech, my little frogfoot he was to begin with!

Now a rather tall (3'4") and opinionated small boy who hates being accused of being a little boy ("I'm a BIG boy!!")

Don't know why I didn't look for this thread before - Blush

neepsntatties · 11/02/2011 15:13

Welcome Moonbells!

I have a ds too and just had a dd. This is a lovely thread, the ladies here have supported me through some rubbish times. I've been very glad of it!
