Welcome to the thread for ladies who's lo's were born on Oct 2007!

Some of us have been here from the begining and some have joined along the way. New ladies always welcome to join in and chat with us, we're a friendly bunch!

:0)

Hey ladies, here's the new thread, had to start it cause the old one is nearly full and Inzi has been in touch to say she can't post on it as it won't load on her phone. She has been booked in for a section on fri!!!

Hope you are all well, off to bed for now

Sorry Neeps xposted. Ok, see what you can come up with. I wish we all lived closer to each other, you Southerners and Scottishers need to move more central!

Hello,

I am reading the tread at the moment but finding it hard to post as DH is on the computer all the time and it is not so easy to post on my phone.

Still no sign of baby, am 39 weeks now. Due on Tuesday. Really hope something happen soons and really hope that I can get into the water pool too so keep your fingers crossed.

And Dareh is awake so that is the end of my time for now!!

neepsntatties · 20/01/2011 17:21

Sneaking back for five mins while Dareh watches a bit of cbeebies.

Strawberry I am so sorry to hear about your DH. I can totally understand why you wouldn't want to go back to work. I really hope it doesn't come to that for you.

I managed to get Dareh three sessions a week in a local playgroup. He starts Tuesday. I am pretty nervous about it but I am sure he will love it.

Inzi nice to see you back on the thread :) I am sure I will disappear for a ages after new baby arrives - if that ever happens!

And his majesty is calling. So much for a moments peace!

Hey neeps, bet Dareh will love playgroup and it will give you a welcome break from watching the two of them once the baby arrives. Must feel like you've been pregnant forever but it's not much longer, hang in there!! Can't wait to find out what sex the baby is and hear the no doubt beautiful name you will choose Smile

Inzi - I feel a lot better about Miles thanks for asking. When I went to the breastfeeding evenih I spoke to the lactation consultant (who is also a midwife) and she said all the signs point to him being fine and just small. She said to chill out till his 12 month check ad just see how he is then Smile

She also said that quite a few previous breasfeeding buddies have gone on to train as midwives! Super excited about the idea of that, would have to wait till the boys are older though as the training is 3 yrs full time and pretty full on.

Sorry to hear about your mil, even though you're not close can see it must be worrying and stressful. Hope she picks up soon for your dh's sake.

So glad Jane is enjoying nursery! Dylan loves it too although is still having accidents whilst there. He's terrible for getting engrossed in what he's doing and not wanting to break off! He is improving though and has been taking himself to the toilet whilst there. Won't do this half the time at home though Hmm

Floria- also thinking of you for tomorrow x

Just needed to post ... finally worked out who neeps is!

Grin

oh, I am crap!

neepsntatties · 21/01/2011 13:43

Lol, sorry I keep name changing!

I have pain in my lower back today, am really hoping it is a sign!!

Dalry I wish you could be my midwife!

neepsntatties · 21/01/2011 13:47

Inzi I love the sound of your nursery. I hope that Dareh's playgroup is as nice as that.

Dalrymps · 21/01/2011 14:19

Aww neeps, thanks Blush... Pain in your back, exciting, could be a sign, from what I remember you usy get aches and pains down there when it's imminent! Did you go over your 'due date' with Dareh?

I also meant to say Inzi, Janes playgroup sounds fab! Dylans is quite structured I think cause it's attached to the school. They have routines and different activities each day, think fri is baking day- how sweet! He seems to love it though so that's good Smile

Wish my cold would bog off, looks like Dylans got it now too..

I was just thinking earlier that I was nervous too! I am quite shy with new people even though you won't really be new.

No baby yet just sore! Am having periods where I am finding it hard to walk because of shooting pains in my groin. I don't like not being able to move about. Did nothing today at all as a result. Might call midwife in the morning for advice.

Dalrymps · 21/01/2011 23:20

Aww thanks InziSmile I hope I can find a way to become one one day.. I might be training in Edinburgh if I do so more opertunities to see you and neeps!

I know what you mean about the structure getting them ready for school but I think Janes nursery sounds like a lovely, gentle and fun introduction in to that kind of setting. I'm sure by the time school comes she'll adjust well. After all, our little piggies will all be some of the oldest in their class will they not?

Dalrymps · 22/01/2011 07:26

How you feeling today neeps?

OP posts:
neepsntatties · 22/01/2011 09:02

Everything has settled down again. Glad to not have pain but it's frustrating too!

Dareh has a bad cough/cold. It's the third he's had. Poor sausage :(

neepsntatties · 22/01/2011 09:07

Inzi I think no structure is great! She will be getting nice and confident about being around other kids and different adults. I am hoping the place Dareh goes too is not too structured as I worry lots of structure might interfere with creativity if you know what I mean but then I am a bit suspicious of institutions!

Dalrymps · 22/01/2011 09:12

Aw neeps, frustrating i'm sure. Poor Dareh, ah well if you don't go in to labour yet he should be over his old a bit by the time you do.. You got someone to look after him when it happens?

Called midwife, really wanted to be seen but they just said take pain killers it's fine. Ah well.

Dalrymps · 22/01/2011 11:52

Hmm how helpful! How are you feeling now then?

OP posts:
neepsntatties · 22/01/2011 16:09

No pain so far today except a little back ache. I just feel grotty today. Please don't let this baby be late!

Dalrymps · 22/01/2011 18:52

Aww, once the baby is here this will all seem a distant memory... Probably best to just keep conserving energy for when it does happen. Thinking of you, so exciting!
