Welcome to the thread for ladies who's lo's were born on Oct 2007!

Some of us have been here from the begining and some have joined along the way. New ladies always welcome to join in and chat with us, we're a friendly bunch!

:0)

Hey ladies, here's the new thread, had to start it cause the old one is nearly full and Inzi has been in touch to say she can't post on it as it won't load on her phone. She has been booked in for a section on fri!!!

Hope you are all well, off to bed for now

OKay, have started looking at hotels etc
Would people please post if they're up for the meet up, how many beds they need, or cot if applicable and any special requirements. What dates they prefer-7th or 14th, and if there is any area they would prefer.
I've found a couple that look okay, like a nice little hotel that could accomodate us with a communal room but not sure if it'll have enough family rooms, or maybe a hostel if noone has aversions to that? They tend to have family rooms and also communal rooms which would make life easier for us to all get together. Also, are people wanting the fri and sat night or just the sat night or any other variation?

Strawberry- I understand your concerns using the nipple shields but sounds like you're doing greatSmile I stubble to breastfeed one, never mind two babies!

Sorry things are up in the air with your dh's job. Must be a worrying time for you all. Hope things pick up with the repair side of thongs or they ask him back to his current job and you don't have to go back to work. Have you informed tax credits? If your income is lower this year than last they adjust it straight away rather than basing the payments on last year.. Just an idea.

Thanks for the reassurance NC. I think they're probably just like my bros, skinny and can eat whatever they want without gaining weight Envy!

Dylan doesn't have any more check ups with the paediatrician, he was discharged Smile so if I wanted to talk to him again I'd have to be re-referred I think.

I checked Miles' length and he's 9th centile for that. Thought that was funny cause Dylan is also 9th centile for height so they're both 9th for height and 0.4th for weight. Long skinny boys.

Hope you manage to sort DD1s clingyness, maybe it's just a matter of lots of reassurance and time?

I can't believe her dad tool drugs on holiday with them, that's terrible!!!Angry I'm not surprised you wish he'd disappear!

Any chance of the meet up being near or in Peterborough? Just that's straight down the A1 from here and know the area with my bro living there... How would that be for everyone else though?? Just a suggestion Smile

Hi Dal, i'm fine with Peterborough if everyone else is. Been looking at Travelodges, have to go right through the proceedure 3 times to ensure they have enough family rooms each time cos family rooms wont show up on a group booking. It's looking like it'll average around £35-40 per family per night if we get a travelodge, have been looking at ones that offer ample free parking too, so there are no added extras :)

Hurry up and give me maybes people, it's exciting!!!

Ohh, just found a travelodge in Spalding, £2 parking for the day/night and can accomodate at least ten family rooms at about £25 per family per night. It has a play barn nearby and seemingly lots of bargain shopping Wink
here it is or this one close by But not checked availability yet. The only thing is, I'm struggling to find ones that have accessible rooms which I think will be required by at least one o0f us, plus Travelodge only accomodates 4+1 baby in a room, not sure if this will be ok with everyone?

Boo!

NC told me to get my butt over here, so here I am!

I do love you all dearly, you know that, but am just generally rubbish! Grin

Just skimmed over the thread quickly to try and work out about the meet-up, but am a bit confused (it's getting close to 9pm, and in my currently addled state, I can hardly see straight now, let alone digest info). From what I can see, it's probably a bit far for us to come, but I'll send a photo of us!

Love to all ... feel free to kick my butt on fb to get me over here more regularly!

How about Keighly? for everyone? Seems the most central place to make it fair for everyone.
There is 8 family rooms available at the moment for £30 each and plenty of double rooms.. Really struggling to find one that can accomodate us all.
If this is ok will need to book asap.

Hi InziD, no date set so far.
One of the first 3 weekends in August will prob be best? the 20th is showing up at £29 so far but the 13th is showing at £32.50. Not much difference, but every little helps. I am happy to book the majority of them on my cc if I get definates and it wont need paying till cc payment is due in a month or whatever.
What does everyone else think?

BTW if anyone eats out much there is a free card here where you get 50% off and 241 blah blah all over the country. I've got one and live in hope of eating out again one day!

strawberrylace · 19/01/2011 19:56

we could do keighly - close to my sis so could combine it with a visit there. we'd need a family room as well if poss, at least the twins should still be small enough to share a cot

would it be worth mailing some people on fb cos i know not everyone checks mn these days. think muppet & mine are the furthest south, crochet furthest west and i am furthest east? who is most northerly??

can't wait to see you all again!

Oh bugger, I've missed a lot, better try and catch up...

NeedCoffee · 19/01/2011 21:24

That looks good Inzi, think it may be an idea to try and find somewhere with a function room?? Picnic sounds good although will it be practical if we're overnight? Could eitther buy ready made picnic food en route, have a meal out, order a buffet with function room? Wish there was somewhere that we could rent with enough rooms for us all and the use of a garden and living room etc. Will keep looking, but need approximate numbers really.

NeedCoffee · 19/01/2011 21:30

Am just going to email a few smaller hotel/large B&Bs in that area. Great that you're a definate Inzi x

NeedCoffee · 19/01/2011 21:49

would this be!

A room with 5 single beds for the kids, throw some mattresses on the floor for all the littlies and we all have a room...

Probably not big enough though.

NeedCoffee · 19/01/2011 21:58

Plenty of Youth Hostels that could accomodate, with outdoor areas for kids and communal. eg

Going to stop now until I hear back from people. Will do A FB message when I get chance or anyone else can do it if they like :)

Just a quick message as am on phone. Dh jogging computer for uni work. I really want to come this time. My dilemma/problem is getting there. No clue what dh will be doing by then and I couldn't drive myself which means getting trains with a toddler and a baby, will be at least 3 changes. Will chat to dh about it but no way he can commit to taking me as he doesn't know what job he will have.

NeedCoffee · 19/01/2011 23:16

I like Travelodges usually too Inzi, they're just so easy and you know 4 of you can fit in. Yes going to have to wait for numbers. One B&B replied saying they only have 6 family bedrooms and another to say they will let me know. Some travelodges have function rooms I think so still worth bearing in mind. Also, will people want to make a full weekend of it, like fri and sat night, or just book for the Sats..?
