Goodo we agree. Enjoy posting to others as I will. Phew.

Phew indeed.

Well Charlie Kirk was soon forgotten while the left were making disgusting comments. What a surprise, the same has happened again.

The left, like the right, is a broad spectrum of people and opinions.

The Kirk court hearing has only just started.

LuckyHazelFox · 13/07/2026 14:09

Strong, outspoken woman, who defected to Reform, Christian values, single etc. One only hopes we don't hear any other experiences she went through before her death. Poor Ann.

One last thing please keep this up for all future threads. I’m happy to stick to it.

It does seem really odd to target poor Ann Widdecombe. She is not who you think of immediately if you hate Reform or Catholics or pro-life advocates.

Probably because she was an easy target, sadly.

Getting the last word in is your USP. Happy to go along with that.

sittingonabeach · 13/07/2026 14:11

For those enjoying hurling insults at each other, just remember that there is an elderly lady dead, murdered in her own home.

If the police knew it was terrorism straight away, surely that is what they would have been arrested for at the beginning. I'm guessing once they searched his home/house in Rotherham, his laptops etc they will have found more evidence as to what he was up to. They want to ensure they have everything lined up correctly.

On the initial news even this site had some awful posts including misinformation about her.

As for you and your USP. But really I’m not missing up this opportunity to cease engagement.

I asked for evidence of incitement to violence from the left, not allegations about trans activists.

Ricky Jones.

Isn't she? She would spring to mind for me. Who am I overlooking then? I don't "hate" any of those - "disagree" is sufficient and that's what freedom of speech gives us - not the right to murder or even hurt someone for having different views, lifestyle choices, etc. If you have to use violence to make your point - I think you've lost the argument and any support you might get from people by arguing your point convincingly. It's an awful incident. Hopefully the truth of what happened and why will be revealed before too long.

Ricky Jones.

Samuel Williams, who chanted for "zios" to be put in the ground.

I think the some on the left do get riled up by public figures such as AW.

SurreySenMum26 · 13/07/2026 14:23

If it is terrorism, I think it's ironic that shutting anything but woke talk will play into more terrorism.

Say your a extremist pro trans person who celebrates the murder of a pro catholic values. You need to consider that in the global stage being comfortable and safevto say you hope she died a horrible death, that ability is in the vast minority globally.

So the more we shut down politicians from expressing any view that is not central, we can't protect anyone except the extreme left and right. Because who would want to stand up and defend against hate crimes?

Anyway it's all basically men hurting women yet again.

TemperanceWest · 13/07/2026 14:27

I get riled up by Farage, but I wouldn't think of murdering him. People on the right get massively riled up on MN by Starmer and co. , even say they'd like to punch them etc., but they wouldn't murder any of them, I doubt.

This is a wee bit more than getting "riled up".

dottyshihtzu · 13/07/2026 13:26

I was just wondering that, why did the police say there was no risk to the public before they'd arrested the suspect and before they even knew the motive?

Their comms dept is shocking. It's not hard to put together a statement that sets put a holding position whilst information is gathered.

heinzfiftyseven · 13/07/2026 14:27

Latest info from GB News; Counter-Terrorism Police are now leading the enquiry.

I think it’s a political issue too. The police in many cases are under pressure due to policies which the public then react to.

Perhaps future police statements will be different on what is being considered or not.

sittingonabeach · 13/07/2026 14:33

One of the issues is people wanting all information now! Doesn't matter if it might jeopardise the case. Doesn't matter if the police haven't yet got all the facts. Doesn't matter if we are not personally in danger from the suspect, so many people are demanding we need to know now! Why?

1dayatatime · 13/07/2026 14:35

What I don't understand is that if as numerous previous posters have insisted that this is simply a burglary case gone wrong , then why is the case now being headed up by Counter Terrorism Police?
