I think women should now be allowed to carry guns. The ban according to Rupert Lowe was a massive over-reaction and has allowed things like this to happen. Women and older people should have the power to protect themselves and we need stand your ground laws like in the US as this makes total senses according to Joe Rogan as we cannot be regarded as a civilised society anymore without allowing women and old people to protect themselves.

Zia Yusuf reported the speaker of the House ignored emails from a female Reform representative to be protected. Miraculously after this case he managed to respond. I take it Reform have upped their security while the investigation is ongoing.

Hmm true, the initial person seemed to have been let go after only a few hours and there was then a gap before the second arrest.

Some people seem to be so happy that this may be terrorism-related after all, that they seem to be forgetting the actual victim in all this.

My view on suspect 1 was that he's a known local 'bad boy' whose car/van was seen in the vicinity sometime later Weds early Thursday. Then it became clear that the murder had taken place on Wednesday lunchtime and for that time scale he had a cast iron alibi do he was out of the frame.

It does seem really odd to target poor Ann Widdecombe. She is not who you think of immediately if you hate Reform or Catholics or pro-life advocates.

Some people on the left made awful comments about CK. Plenty of others on the left didn't and condemned those who did.

The murder rate in the USA is five times that of the UK.

If you think that one of the hallmarks of a civilised society is that it should be made easier for people to arm themselves with lethal weapons, then there really is no hope…

This is such a baffling and tragic case. Why would a man drive all that way to kill her? Surely there are other people who would make more logical targets. ( not that I am calling for the killing of anybody).
