What will life be like under Reform?

Easipeelerie · 27/09/2025 09:05

I have accepted the likelihood of the next government being Reform. I don’t think the government after that will necessarily be Reform. But in the 4 Reform years, what do people think life will be like for the different groups in our country? Will we see very immediate changes?

How?

That's Reform's job to figure it out, that's why I'm voting for them. Interesting point to get hangup on.

Not hangup on, just wondering what you think they can do.

Reform hasn't yet figured it out then?

Surely though, as a Reform supporter & voter, you want to know how they plan on achieving this?

After all, we've already had 2 Govts that said we will "Stop the Boats" then another that said we will "Smash the Gangs"... do you want a 3rd that will fail too?

Bless you. You're assuming that Reform supporters are following some sort of logical decision-making process. They really aren't.

We'll find out when they are in power.

nomoreforks · 18/12/2025 13:29

I don't think Reform will get in next time. I think it will be a coalition of some sort e.g.conservatives/reform or labour/greens. I wouldn't worry too much.

nomoreforks · 18/12/2025 13:29

People are fed up so are posting extreme views atm (leftwing or right wing). I the ballot box people are more middle of the road.

You are voting for an idea and hope they can wing it somehow?

Isn’t that the same for any party/voter?

Other parties at least have manifestos that arent based on fairy tales.

What's the alternative?

The alternative is you use your logic and reasoning and look at their policies and see if they will work.

Anyone can say "i will do x or y" and then fail to deliver.

As far as i can see, Reforms plans are to house in military bases and then deport but deport to where? many countries wont accept back asylum seekers.

Plus the UK has built and or sold off its ex bases for housing or development.

They have no more idea how to stop boats than anyone else.

You sound angry but that's for you to sort out. What's the alternative? Stick to a two party system?

Angry? No, Bemused at some voters total stupidity would be nearer the mark.....

Pacificsunshine · 18/12/2025 13:44

I think a lot of voters just don’t think Labour are sincere. I don’t think they are competent.

I will vote for the Conservatives.

But I can understand Reform voters feeling that Reform genuinely shares their priorities, and that this is s better starting point than a party that doesn’t even share their values.

Give us an alternative then, but make yourself sound less of a Karen this time.

kalokagathos · 18/12/2025 13:49

I think it will be a draw with Greens 🥬. Me and a few friends just signed up and none of our friends would come near Reform

Concrete solutions?

There aren't any. Both Tories and Labour are struggling. Co-operation with EU countries and safe legal routes would go a long way towards it though.

A lot of those values are caked in racism and it is getting harder for those voters to deny it.

It will be infinitely worse.
