The point about the trans issue is that lots of people are happy to remain under the radar on this issue, put their pronouns in their emails, nod along in public, never speaking the truth. And then worse, outsourcing courage to others to fight the battle - JKR, Julie Bindel, they are both receiving daily serious death threats for their views.

CK was killed for his views.

I think each and every person should be thank ful for people who have courage when you have none. Words are not violence, whatever you have been indoctrinated with, they are not violence. The person who shot him, to shut him up and stop ‘hatefulness’ - that is violence. Why isn’t the thread about Tyler Robinson and the hateful views from the TRA’s? I’ve not seen one thread on that topic, just on CK and him talking

So many people need to have a serious think about their tolerance to opposing views. There’s a childish undertone to these threads of stamping feet and petulance against people who don’t agree with you on important topics. Indeed the word ‘divisive’ basically boils down to someone not agreeing with you.

I couldn’t care less that you don’t agree with CK on some things, it doesn’t matter, just argue your case, in debate, you’ll win if your case is stronger.

Absolutely. It’s unbelievable how many women are defending his misogyny.

It’s concerning. Also the amount of people denying he’s a racist. It’s not about ‘free speech’ - Kirk wanted to mandate his extreme beliefs into law, so that all women would lose their hard won rights. I wouldn’t be defending someone with such abhorrent views just because they aligned with me on one issue. It’s pseudo alignment anyway, the likes of Trump and Kirk don’t give a shiny shit about women’s rights.

@hamstersarse I so agree with you. I have actually resolved to stop sitting in silence or change the subject when someone starts saying something I disagree with. I have started to politely and quietly express my own views with the aim of engaging in a constructive and open conversation. It’s ridiculous how difficult and controversial this has become but I’m sick of nodding along.

But this is exactly what we are doing - we are politely disagreeing. With CK and his followers, the likes of @hamstersarse

Not a single poster here told that his murder was acceptable.

But most of us hate his views and terrified about possibility of his views being put into law.

As to trans and pronouns - surprise surprise, there are some (and a lot of them) people who support it, incl many women. Most of them personally know and are friends with trans people so know the issue first hand. I personally don't support the entire ideology and I do believe in biology, but my belief in personal freedom is above this all.

AzurePanda · 23/09/2025 09:53

@nearlylovemyusername this isn’t real life, it’s anonymous and people are not always polite!

I haven’t seen this on this thread, but I present to you Stephen Miller at Charlie Kirk’s Memorial, his intolerance stretches to the actual dehumanisation of the left. His speech heavily emphasised "enemies" (the left) He was divisive, hateful, and destructive. Here are some direct quotes
“And that fire burns with a righteous fury that our enemies cannot comprehend or understand.”
“And what will you leave behind? Nothing. Nothing to our enemies. You have nothing to give. You have nothing to offer.” …”- "You are nothing. You are wickedness. You are jealousy, you are envy, you are hatred. You are nothing. You can build nothing. You can produce nothing.”
Trump (apart from narcissistically wittering on about tariffs being amazing and false facts about autism) said “He did not hate his opponents; he wanted the best for them. That’s where I disagree with Charlie. I hate my opponent. And I don’t want the best for them.”
Are you not deeply concerned about this type of rhetoric to “other” and dehumanise people?
You keep using the trans issue as a straw man. We don’t know what was going on in Tyler Robinsons head. There is no concrete evidence of a link between him and left wing groups. The writing on the bullets casings were brain rot gamer memes that are also associated with far right groyper culture. The point is we don’t know what his thinking was at this moment. It’s worth noting that straight away the entire left was demonised and framed as being culpable for Robinsons actions-this was before they even knew who it was. Deeply dangerous divisive rhetoric.

That’s fine. I’m not getting into a reality proving debate with a racism denier. You’ve been unable to formulate a coherent argument this entire thread, and resort to name calling and straw man arguments.

Charlie Kirk wasn’t killed for his views on trans people, or rather he may have been but nobody actually knows that currently except his murderer. There are reports that his partner was transitioning… but they’re debatable and nobody currently knows which of his “hatred” was his motive.

There are plenty of discussions on here about TRA’s, there are none about that and Tyler Robinson because currently there’s no link.

Charlie Kirk didn’t just talk, he prepared watchlists of professors and school boards who seemed like they might agree with teaching anything about racism, LGBT rights or reproductive health in women…or commenting negatively about the NRA resulting in some of them getting rape and death threats.

He was sending information packs promoting intolerance into schools.

He was influencing government policy, despite not actually standing for office through cronyism.

The videos of him talking are so his views are in his own words, not because that’s all he was doing.

Dear, you’ve already lost. It’s embarrassing.

His racism, misogyny and bigotry are all over this thread, numerous pages of examples from the very start. Do yourself a favour, educate yourself and give yourself the chance of actually constructing a coherent, logical rebuttal rather than throwing insults and obtuse statements into the thread. No one will engage with that. It’s just silly.

Plastic,

You're a liar and a political activist. I've called you out.

Plastictreees · 23/09/2025 11:10

Oh dear, however will I sleep at night knowing I’ve been named a political activist by a person who defends a racist, misogynist bigot on MN 🤣🤣🤣🤣

(Answer: very well.)

or, he was assisting the youth of America in their battle against the blatant indoctrination they were suffering as a result of cultural Marxism in the education system.

They were being taught 2 + 2 = 5

Thank god someone was standing up to it.

Cultural marxists sleep well because their actual intention is the destruction of civilisation, and they're doing a good job.

Yes American schools are well known for their Marxist beliefs 😐😂

In between all the pledges of allegiance and active shooter drills - the teachers stop to tell children how to spell bourgeoisie

They don't do the pledge if allegiance in hardly any of the US Universities - Cultural marxism saw to that.

Standing up for the erosion of the education of girls and women 🤔? I’m curious, what exactly is Marxist about the American education system? Please be specific.

1dayatatime · 23/09/2025 11:31

In 1943 the Communist Party headquarters in the U.S. issued a directive that read:

“When certain obstructionists become too irritating, label them—after suitable build-ups—as fascist or Nazi.

Use the prestige of anti-fascist and tolerance organizations to discredit them.

Constantly associate those who oppose us with these names, which already carry a bad reputation. After enough repetition, the association will become ‘fact’ in the public mind.”

Equally today I would add the current words of "racist", "far right", "misogynistic", "apartheid", "genocide", "homophobic" or "anti trans"

Plastictreees · 23/09/2025 11:32

Nah, if you don’t want to be called a racist or a homophobe or a bigot then just don’t be one. It’s that simple. 👍🏻

Specifically the University system, but it's also infect other areas.

60% of all people at University in America are female. What erosion of education?

Straight from the Marxist playbook, dehumanise your detractor.
