What I have seen this week is that people in the UK keep saying things like ‘Come
come now, of course he didn’t believe women should be submissive to and financially dependent on men’ when in fact that is a widely held belief (which I disagree with) in many US christian communities. A large proportion also believe in not using any kind of birth control but ‘letting the Lord open and close the womb’, only homeschooling to preserve ‘purity’ so within two or three generations you produce people who have never been taught by externally trained or qualified teachers which they see as a boon, etc etc.

See influencers like Girl Defined, Resolute Man, Courageous Mom (the Tolpins), Now that We’re a Family (podcast). They’re all VERY open about their views.

The Pearls ‘to Raise up a child’, James Dobson (is that his name), IBLP ( the duggars’ church), Alert Academy, a quasi military training camp ‘forging’ boys for Christ.

Its all VERY Victorian.

I have no idea why people chose what they did. Possibly because the rush to publish meant going for his most controversial comments. It’s the same way he would clip his debates to show him “winning” instead of showing him being pulled apart. To suggest there is nothing extreme in his entire catalog is pretty wide of the mark. Why the need to re-write his history?

So professional journalists couldn't fact check? People like the OP of this thread, or the dozens of other people who have been shown their sources were incorrect couldn't have acknowledged this and apologised?

I expect you would be outraged if a left wing figure was smeared in the same way.

Seems much of this conversation is two sides somehow seeeing completely different things. Those strongly criticising Kirk, don't seem to have seen the celebration or the worst of the misrepresentation, and for me I would say I haven't seen anyone (on MN) denying that Kirk had sexist old fashioned views about women being subordinate.

Literally loads of reasons, I take it you don't agree, why?

Anti abortion, pro Second Amendment, pro Trump anti gay marriage, anti LGBT, anti black rights - just for staters

Any your positives?

Anti black rights?

There is honestly nothing wrong with your first 3 examples.

If you're a Christian you're by defacto anti gay marriage, doesn't mean you still can't love and respect for the gay people involved though.

There are many Christians who are not against gay marriage. There's nothing de facto about opposing it.

It's also notable how many of the Christians who are so vociferous in their condemnation of gay marriage become strangely equivocal when it comes to following Jesus's words about not judging others. Or getting divorced. Or about how his followers should give away all their worldly possessions to the poor. Funny that.

........and there are plenty that are. The de facto bit comes from the bible with it stating that marriage is between a man and a woman.

People are free to live how they want, it's not my job to judge them.

Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.
– The Charlie Kirk Show, 19 May 2023
If I’m dealing with somebody in customer service who’s a moronic Black woman, I wonder is she there because of her excellence, or is she there because of affirmative action?
– The Charlie Kirk Show, 3 January 2024
If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.

  1. Isn't that backed up by the murder of that Ukranian refugee - "I got that white girl"

This is the same Charlie Kirk who helped an awful lot of young black women attend the white house in 2019, he helped with flights and hotels because he didn't want them to miss out.

A single incident of a schizophrenic black man killing a white woman on public transport backs up the 'fact' that 'prowling blacks' are hunting white people across America for fun?

I didn't know he'd been diagnosed as schizophrenic or is that your way of making him seem like the victim? If he was schizophrenic, why didn't he attack the other people on the bus?

I do not consider him the victim. I don't know why he stabbed that woman, because as yet no motive has been established. It is widely reported that he has a serious mental illness; I don't know if schizophrenia is the confirmed diagnosis. My reason for referencing his mental illness is to say that his selection of victim may have been erratic, random and opportunistic - however, even if it was a targeted and racially motivated attack you are still talking about one homicide that you have plucked out and claimed to support the thesis that 'prowling blacks' are attacking white people for fun all across the cities of America. Which is ridiculous.

He literally said "I got that white girl" twice and didn't touch anyone else on the bus, he's got a history of violent crime and should have been in jail but he's been released, because reasons. The motive was hatred, but you try and excuse him all you want.

What evidence do you have that what CK said about "Prowling" isn't true?

I'm saying that one racially motivated murder doesn't mean the country is full of racially motivated murderers.

The BBC article on the attack says 'right-wing influencers alleged the crime was racially motivated and claimed that the suspect made a comment about the victim's race. The suspect is black and Zarutska was white, however authorities have not outlined a motive and Brown has not been charged with a hate crime.'

I know there is footage of the murder circulating; is that how people know he said 'I got that white girl'? Or is that hearsay?

The article also says that he had an extensive criminal background, was mentally ill and homeless and that his mother tried to have him sectioned. I absolutely agree he shouldn't have been out in public; he was clearly a known danger who should never have had the opportunity to carry out this murder. I still don't see how this one case shows us that the country is full of black people attacking white people for fun.

I can see why you don't like CK. you'll do anything possible other than condem this person for the most brutal of brutal murders with that murder being based on hate. On the video he quite clearly says it twice, why won't you believe this?

Then the story was hidden until it couldn't be contained.

Violence towards white people in America has become normalised, the perps know they have people like you who will admonish them, that the police won't go after them, this is what CK was talking about - this doesn't mean CK was racist, he wasn't.

Plastictreees · 16/09/2025 17:25

Denying CK was racist is like denying the sky is blue. We are in flat earther territory. There is no point trying to have a rational, logical and coherent debate with someone who holds such intransigent, unreasonable beliefs.

You need to provide proof he was a racist for that statement to actually work. Bonne chance.

Plastictreees · 16/09/2025 17:33

Just a small sample of his racist statements are provided in this thread, are you unable to read? His hateful rhetoric is all over the internet for the world to see and hear. You obviously endorse his views.

You have previously said you are anti abortion too, so you clearly don’t value women’s rights either.

What a treat you are. 🥳

You’re ok with America’s abortion laws where in some states an abortion is illegal even in cases of rape or where the baby will die at birth?

Second Amendment isn’t exactly working with never ending school shooting tragedies

AzurePanda · 16/09/2025 18:57

@Parker231 and there’s a number of other counties including in the Europe where abortion is illegal in any circumstance. But people don’t seem quite so bothered about that. At least in the USA it’s fairly simple to travel to another state with many charities facilitating just this.

No, because a single person is not a gang.

If you're looking for organised American gangs perpetrating racist attacks, you're looking for the KKK and its far-right ilk.
