Corbyn announces Your Party

His new political party with Zarah Sultana.

Except it doesn't appear to even have a name and now Zarah Sultana is having to go around twitter correcting journalists saying it's not called Your Party, while not actually clarifying what it is called.

I'm sure it will be extremely well organised.

My DD is 12 and just told me how she and all her mates can't wait to vote for Corbyn’s new party at the next GE….

Viviennemary · 24/07/2025 16:16

When the lefties and the Blairites have left the Labour party there won't be much left. Which can only be a good thing.

mumda · 24/07/2025 16:21

Unite have fell out with dear Ms Rayner.
So maybe they'll fund it. When it gets a name.
I think collecting money without a proper name seems skirting decency though.
You can't open a bank account without a name, so where would the money be going?

If you put Labour in charge of the Sahara desert, within 5 years they'd run out of sand.

His statement did not say that.

It’s time to build a new kind of political party - one that belongs to you.

Corbyn reminds me of a religious fundamentalist, or the member of some ‘60s cult. He has the same glazed expression. The same narrow, closed, black and white mind. The same lack of humour or tolerance. The same contempt/indifference for everyone who disagrees with him in any way.

User37482 · 24/07/2025 16:29

It’ll be fascinating in a car crash sort of way.

It’s quite sad that you can’t see beyond one person and to what this potential party could represent to make the lives of people better. This is how we end up with Starmer and a Labour Party devoid of anything they should be representing.

It’s democratic socialism, not communism. It worked well here post-war, and Scandinavian countries or even Canada, haven’t suddenly become like North Korea. 🙄

Funny cos for many (including my parents who are Socialists) Corbyn represents the resurgence of the Marxist wing of Labour. In an interview with Andrew Marr didn't Corbyn say we could learn a lot from Marx?

Can anyone really say this with a straight face after continuous Tory PM changes and Liz Truss?

Where’s the bit where it says “you’ll decide the name”?

Look, you’ve gotta let go of the fixation with Liz and Kwasi, and the Tories. It’s not healthy.

Rejoice instead at the likely harikiri of the Labour Party.

Rejoice, I say!

Its a non issue.

I tell you what doesn't bode well, a 19 year old in charge of a council. Get your laughing gums around that circus.

Am I correct in thinkng you are a Corbyn supporter?
I recognise the blind justification of anything and desperation to shut down anything negative.
It was and still is very evident on Starmer/Labour threads, usually with name-calling and insults thrown in for good measure.
He has some very loyal followers, I will give him that.

"Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is launching a new political party to "take on the rich and powerful" and campaign for the redistribution of wealth."

So be warned. He wants your money to give to other people.

Oh don't worry
It will only be The Rich he will take money from, and as The Rich are always people who have more than the posters who think this is a good idea, they will be fine

Lefties are so easy to wind-up, aren’t they?

And there is so much fertile material at the moment too.

The name-calling and insults will start soon, along with posts about left wingers being the only people who care about others

100%

There’s a couple of prolific Labour apologists who have been uncharacteristically quiet, recently.

Haven’t seen any name calling or insults.

I do find it odd when people complain about their child’s education, inability to access dental care or long waiting times at A&E. But as soon as a political party comes along to tackle these issues those same people think it’s too far fetched or extreme.

LidlAmaretto · 24/07/2025 16:59

R0ckandHardPlace · 24/07/2025 14:58

It’s only a ‘balls up’ to people who aren’t familiar with how Jeremy Corbyn works. I’d have thought it was blatantly obvious to those people who are familiar with his methods. I’m very surprised that Paul Mason was confused by it.

Is this the same 'blatantly obvious' as the 'blatantly obvious' Brexit policy that ended up with the Labour Party spectacularly losing the 2019 election because no one could explain why the EU would waste their time negotiating a new Brexit agreement if the other party to the negotiations had stated they were going to put it to another referendum and campaign against it? Saying 'It's obvious- you just don't understand what geniuses we are' doesn't often work!
Last I heard Corbyn had thrown his toys out of the pram because he didn't want to co- lead the party with Sultana. If he doesn't even want to share leadership responsibilities it doesn't really look like he's that keen to share power.

This is hilarious! I point out the fact that a teenager is running a council for Reform and apparently that means I'm trying to shut down all discussion, am blindly justifying everything Corbyn does and name calling and throwing out insults.

You're a gift.
