The chairman mentioned her race when he announced her as the new leader.
I imagine she must be happy to be described as such.

Wow. Historic moment whatever your politics. Well done her and I hope the Tory party support her. The country needs a strong opposition.

I hope she can be strong in holding the Labour Government to account. My initial feeling is she was the best candidate in that regard. It is extremely important, for everyone, left and right, that that happens. I never felt the Labour Party in opposition did that job well.

She’s an excellent choice

She’s the least bad choice, politically. For other reasons though, pleased for her personally.

There was loud applause, whooping and cheering from Kemi Badenoch's supporters as she was announced as the new Tory leader

they'll be sharpening their knives to stab her in the back just as they do with every other leader eventually. Whoops today, plotting and scheming tomorrow.

She is intelligent, analytical, tenacious and unafraid. She is not always very politically astute. She has the potential to be incredibly good.

Well I like her. She's a strong, eloquent woman who has a record of standing up for women.
