Hello

As lots of you will know, eligible electors in the UK can head to the polls on Thursday 23 May to vote in the EU parliamentary elections.

We've put together a page with a few facts about this election in the UK (apologies for not covering other EU countries in any detail but you can find more info here).

Let us know on this thread when you've voted (you don't have to tell us how) and we will reward you with an emoticon of your choice*

Polls are open 7am to 10pm on Thursday and remember you DON'T need your polling card to vote.

*From the existing emoticons - we're not magic

I'm not voting, Fuck Em' all Haha!

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 22/05/2019 18:40

Good job you don't need the voting card as I haven't received one...

Hefzi · 22/05/2019 18:43

Those of us who are postal voters have likely done ours already...

PotteringAlong · 22/05/2019 18:45

I’m voting! I always vote.

Cecilia2016 · 22/05/2019 18:55

I have a voting card but not sure if I should go or not

TidyDancer · 22/05/2019 18:56

I'm working at a polling station tomorrow but have a proxy vote. 'Fuck em all haha' is a terrible attitude to have regarding voting imo.

Madvixen · 22/05/2019 18:59

I'm voting but I still have no idea who I'll vote for.

TheBitterBoy · 22/05/2019 19:00

I'm voting, I always do.

bellinisurge · 22/05/2019 19:07

Yep. As always making sure we go as a family and I will take our dd. She's 12 now. She's been to every single voting with me. I always vote. Even for bullshit Police and Crime Commissioner election.

FantasticMissFox · 22/05/2019 20:58

Everyone should make the effort to vote. We are fortunate to live in a country and society where we can freely walk down the street to vote. Women died so we could do that. Get off your arse and go vote!!!
Rant over.

PotteringAlong · 22/05/2019 21:04

fantasticMissFox I completely agree. People live in countries where they will literally give up their lives in the pursuit of being allowed a democratic vote. Appreciate how fortunate we are and have your say!

NoraEphronsneck · 22/05/2019 21:10

I want to vote but i have no idea which party to vote for.

All the major parties have let us down on women's issues in one way or another.

Decormad38 · 22/05/2019 21:14

Yes Im voting Green party as a remainer. Normally vote Labour.

OVienna · 22/05/2019 22:19

Yup. Lib Dem or Change UK.

OVienna · 22/05/2019 22:20

Conservative voter here.

Worsethingshappenatsea · 22/05/2019 23:39

Done - Postal voter here 👍

Greentreeviews · 23/05/2019 07:01

Yes voting Green. First time not voting for labour

Cobblersandhogwash · 23/05/2019 07:04

I've voted by post.

I love to vote. Be part of it all. It's part of history, however tiny.

I also like to vote for people I know will work hard and actually attend to their roles.

Sickofbeingsick2019 · 23/05/2019 07:05

I’ve Voted (postal). Always do vote whatever it’s for. It’s a basic right which you should use

DivisionBelles · 23/05/2019 07:05

Hell yeah! Always vote, even in parish council elections. It's a hard won privilege and we're lucky to live somewhere where we can. Green for me.

Songsofexperience · 23/05/2019 07:08

Libdem.
And about everyone I know will too.

Iggly · 23/05/2019 07:10

Yes!

You’re only fucking yourself by not.

Iggly · 23/05/2019 07:11

Also voting green.

bellabasset · 23/05/2019 07:12

Just off to vote now. It's a couple of minutes walk.

homeishere · 23/05/2019 07:12

You should always vote. You have no right to complain if you don’t vote to affect the situation.

Lib Dem voter here. Large turnout will hit Farage, ‘Robinson’, Sargon and the others.
