Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

'so your last post referring to the 172 made no sense, and you do indeed use the word Blairite as a term of abuse'

My post was made early in the morning with a clear head and therefore did make sense. Very occasionally, very rarely, one or maybe two of my posts are not as sensical as they should be (I hesitate to call them nonsensical because that would be a step too far) but that is because they are made late at night after the consumption of a crate or two of alcohol, and very occasionally that does cloud even my clear head.

Of course, Blairite is a term of abuse for me. I can't stand the servant and his spin and hand gestures, just as Ben Elton used Thatcherite as a term of abuse.

We are allowed to laugh at our politicians. We have left the EU, they can't get us now, we are free to take the piss out of the lot of them and with Trump on our side, they will never rule over any of us ever again

As Muse so rightly sang

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

and I link to the clip of Trump fans celebrating their freedom and victory and hopes and dreams and urge all Trump fans across the world to sing along to the song or resistance and freedom and laugh at Blair and all the servants, the bigwigs, the liars, the Bliars, the hypocrites, expense fiddling cheats and controllers and the EU who tried to take our free speech from us

It's hysteria. You and many feminists, SJW's etc genuinely believe Trump is the nightmare monster from kids books who will destroy the world, legalise rape, nuke everywhere and keep women barefoot and pregnant

Hmm

What to say to this? In all seriousness?

Lweji · 21/12/2016 11:20

We are allowed to laugh at our politicians.

But you said earlier that we shouldn't laugh at Trump, because he is President. That we should respect him. Didn't you?

Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:20

So if Blairite is a term of abuse for you, and you call another poster a Blairite, that then can only be a personal attack. So clearly some personal attacks are OK by you. Which is fine.

Just wanted to clear that one up.

Roussette · 21/12/2016 11:20

Misss your posts are increasingly bizarre. That article you linked to... the liberals buying guns. They are frightened of what might happen, the increase in hate crime since the election has fuelled this. Obviously. You are very derogatory and indeed inflammatory. Not that you worry about that.

Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:28

Lweji, I think all you can do is regard it as a small but perfectly formed curiosity typifying 2016.

claig · 21/12/2016 11:33

'But you said earlier that we shouldn't laugh at Trump, because he is President. That we should respect him. Didn't you?'

Nope. Even I, to my shame, occasionally laugh at Trump, but I soon correct myself and show the requisite respect.

I laugh at Trump because Trump laughs at himself. Trump is a laugh, he is real, he is unlike any politician or Cameron or Oxbridge PPE the world has ever seen, that is why Trump fans love Trump. Of course we laugh at him, but he is still Simply The Best, Better than All the Rest

There has never been anyone like Trump and never will be again.

Trump 2016 will go down in history, the year that We the People won and laughed and laughed at our former rulers and were free to mock them and cheer for freedom, the USA and Trump

Simply The Best

On a positive note, Michelle has spoken to Oprah:

www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/michelle-obama-gave-a-somber-exit-interview-to-oprah-winfrey/2016/12/19/f1fce4a4-c656-11e6-a22f-f4d703887285_story.html?utm_term=.89afc661dd51

I think this is an interesting part:

"Winfrey (...) did ask Obama what it felt like to be called an “angry black woman” by her critics."

"“That was one of those things where you just sort of think, ‘Dang, you don’t even know me,’ ” Obama said. “You just sort of feel like, ‘Wow, where’d that come from?’. . . But then you sort of think, ‘This isn’t about me.’ This is about the person or people who write it, you know? That’s just the truth.”"

claig · 21/12/2016 11:37

"So if Blairite is a term of abuse for you, and you call another poster a Blairite, that then can only be a personal attack. So clearly some personal attacks are OK by you. Which is fine."

Absolutely fine. You can insult Trump fans and call me a Trump fan. I won't feel insulted, I will laugh in the Year of 2016, the year we the people won and laughed

OP posts:
Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:43

Good, so you don't mind personal attacks at all. Glad that's clear.

The people didn't win. The far right are not the people.

Lweji · 21/12/2016 11:44

You can insult Trump fans and call me a Trump fan.

It's not used as an insult. It's what you call yourself. You say you're a Trump fan, if I'm not mistaken. So, we use the term you prefer.

(now, minions, I admit is snide, but that was mostly in a reaction to barrage of blairites, lefties, and other snide names used for people who are not Trump fans.)

But nobody here has called themselves Blairite. Nor would most Trump non-fans (mostly because they are American, or not even British). So, it's not really on to put Trump against Blairites.

claig · 21/12/2016 11:45

'you don't mind personal attacks at all'

If anyone wants to insult Blair, knock yourself out, this is a Trump thread, this is a thread celebrating freedom

OP posts:
Lweji · 21/12/2016 11:45

Even Trumpette is a term you have used yourself, no? So, if I call you a Trumpette, it won't be an insult. It's one of the designations you have given yourself.

Unlike Blairite.

Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:46

Thanks for that link, Lweji.

Lweji · 21/12/2016 11:47

If anyone wants to insult Blair, knock yourself out, this is a Trump thread, this is a thread celebrating freedom

I thought we aimed for freedom of speech, or not? Is that not a desirable thing?

Genuine question.

Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:48

You have made your position very clear Claig. You want to celebrate trump and will attack anyone who opposes him with an insult of your choice. That's absolutely fine.

claig · 21/12/2016 11:50

'So, it's not really on to put Trump against Blairites.'

Blair is a servant, Trump is no one's puppet
Blair is known as Bliar, Trump is known for "telling it like it is"
Blair is politically correct, Trump told the elites "I refuse to be politically correct"

Trump is the opposite of Blair in everything he stands for, Trump stands for freedom and the people, Blair stands to serve the elites

Of course it is right to put Trump against Blair and his faithful followers, the Blairites

This is a Trump thread, which tells it like it is, which tells the truth, which is the opposite of that politically correct Bliar and his newly formed and funded Destitute

OP posts:
Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:51

Trump's lies make Blair's look very quaint and old fashioned. Different scale altogether.

Kaija · 21/12/2016 11:53

Trump is a puppet of the oil extracting, climate change denying elites. And a thin-skinned lying fraudster. But he's your man.

Lweji · 21/12/2016 11:55

That link actually had scant information.

This is more comprehensive: www.cbsnews.com/news/oprah-michelle-obama-no-hope-interview/

“Words matter,” she said. “[T]he words that we say moving forward, all of us, it matters. Which is one of the reasons why Barack and I are so supportive of this transition. Because no matter how we felt going into it, it is important for the health of this nation that we support the commander-in-chief. Wasn’t done when my husband took office.”

"But if the first lady is sensing a certain loss of hope in the country, her husband is taking a philosophical view -- even as he faces the knowledge that much of his administration’s accomplishments will almost certainly be rolled back."

“You know, we’ve talked about this, that history moves in cycles,” he said, dropping by for part of the interview. “And what lasts is the impact what we’ve done has had in people’s minds and hearts.”

I agree.

History moves back and forth, up and down, left to right. The current cycle was somewhat inevitable, but we will move again in a different direction when this cycle is complete.

I'd say, hopefully, to what I'd call a better place eventually. Perhaps with people finding more common ground than disagreement. And working together.

We'll see how this administration pans out. I do hope that it is better than our sombre predictions. I'd love to be wrong on this one. (in all seriousness)

Lweji · 21/12/2016 11:57

Of course it is right to put Trump against Blair and his faithful followers, the Blairites

Fine. (although they are in different countries, so don't really relate to each other)

What you shouldn't do, if you do want a light but reasonable debate, is equate non-Trump fans to Blairites (as per your definition of Blairites).

Lweji · 21/12/2016 12:09

On a sad note, though:

Texas cuts Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, thus affecting family planning in general.

So, birth control, STI testing and treatment, UTI treatment, pregnancy care, Women's and Men's Healthcare.

Presumably because they also perform abortions.

It's possible that it will extend to the country under Trump, according to his campaign and his supporters.

claig · 21/12/2016 12:14

'Fine. (although they are in different countries, so don't really relate to each other)'

Don't you understand that America runs the world and that what happens there affects every single person on the planet? Why do you think the world's media was so frightened of Trump and our Oxbrdge PPEs were sick with fear and smeared him day and night on the BBC and our political class insulted him? They are scared because the game is up for the elites worldwide. Trump beat them, the American people beat them, the people of the whole world beat them.

Now we are all free, free to laugh at our politically correct masters who tried to take our free speech from us, because the world has an American President who called their bluff, said the emperor had no clothes and dared to say

"I refuse to be politically correct"

Blair is in a different country, but he is just a servant, a PPE, a servant of the elites whom Trump, a billionaire businessman not a "career politiican" like Blair, has comprehensively defeated through his courage in challenging their political correctness control mechanism and mocking them and making Trump fans across the whole planet laugh in liberation. There are Trump fans in India, Trump fans China, Trump forums in China where they refer to him as "Big Mouth" but love him as much as Trump fans in America do. The Trump Revolution united freedom loving people across the planet. He said to teh American people "I am your voice", but he is the voice of freedom loving people across the planet because we have no voice, but now we do and our man won. Simply The Best, Better Than All the Rest, Better Than Anyone

Trump has liberated the world, that is why it is a revolution and is such a big deal and that is why the elites are so scared they can't sleep at night and that is why they have phoned Blair and asked him to help.

Blair and Sir Bob is all they have left.

And that is another laugh.

OP posts:
Kaija · 21/12/2016 12:15

"Now we are all free, free to laugh at our politically correct masters who tried to take our free speech from us"

What is it you want to say that you couldn't say before?

claig · 21/12/2016 12:26

'What is it you want to say that you couldn't say before?'

Long live Trump! Long live freedom! Long live the people!

Viva la revolucion!
