A lovely new thread to continue counting our blessings.

Everyone is welcome, of any faith or none at all. Just drop by to pause for a moment and think of what has made you smile or has gone well for you, however small it seems.

Joining for first time, life has been a bit hard recently, think I will benefit from focusing on the good in my life.

Gratitudes for today
For my lovely DH for letting me sleep a large part of the day, whilst he entertained our dc
For my dd who prefers to be put to bed by DH, but who tonight wrapped her arms around me and whispered "mummy cuddles"
For my DH recovering well from operation last week

Ahh, chin up Kinky (is it work?)

My dd has just done mocks too. Went pretty well and teachers were encouraging at parent's eve which was great - even though there were some time management lessons to learn hopefully before next May/June (gosh that's really not so long now is it?)

I'll have all the same grats as you today Kinky Thanks < lazy emoto Grin >

... cuddles, warmth, shelter, food ... sounds good to me

... jobs not so much but I'll try to find your positive attitude - I'm sure I saw it around here somewhere LOL Smile

stressed Your post reminded me of the verse .... "Faith, hope, and love. These three remain"
So, yes, so thankful for those things, however you interpret the faith one (as that one's more personal to individuals)

Can be thankful now for that balance between work/ family/ and leisure - even if it is impossible (especially as a Mum) to get right. But at least we all have some time off and some time with our loved ones (I hope). If we also have some work which is sometimes rewarding (and goes some way to pay the bills) then that's a bonus, yes?

Thanks everyone Thanks Thanks Thanks. I am just feeling very done-in. I have fibro and get worn out and sore easily, combine it with work being very stressful at the moment and I'm shattered. I had to give in and take painkillers and go to bed yesterday when I got back (work then mounts up). But I've managed today better, although still quite a lot of pain. I'm sure it will settle, it's one of those things and the cold doesn't help it.

I am very grateful for everyone being kind on here. Thanks again.

Can i join. I've been more affected by the world events this past week than i realised. I am feeling so sad about the present and worried about the future for my kids. I read today that newborn babies are dying in gaza because of the cold. Its bleak and depressing, but i have lots to be grateful for including:

Warmth, food, clothes and love, all in abundance for my own children.
A rare day at home in the warmth.
Realising that there are a great many more good people than bad.
Evening spent with the fire roaring, my dc and dh and us all in one room chatting playing and laughing.
Having more than i feel i deserve.

Welcome, clean, another new faceFlowers

The world is a sad and frightening place just now, I think. All we can do is be the best we can and focus on the positives, imo.

warmth and shelter
snuggly jumpers
DS2, who is 22 today!
