mumface: Sooo very sorry about your niece! What a tragedy. (((hugs)))

bagpuss: Yes, I had my scan on Tuesday last week, so I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow. Here's my dear little baby:1.bp.blogspot.com/_eH3zT2SZkKE/S7JmqnOSGoI/AAAAAAAACc4/MGZzFBs7i9U/s1600/baby4blog.jpg

BTW, just seen that my review for the Bamboozle Stretch on CNT has been picked as a finalist!! [shcok] Up for grabs is a Flutterby Fluff - though I doubt I'll get enough votes for it! lol www.clothnappytree.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=43287

oops not sure how that big gap got in my message - unless it only shows up that way for me!

Rachel, just the one then! Good luck with the comp!

Have just got a couple of little lambs bamboo nappies and wraps free . There was a coupon in the back of Mother and Baby magazine so I made dh buy two and sent off one in on behalf of my mum because it was only one per household (seriously, why are none of these things ever geared up to twins? 'tis annoying). Anyhow, they arrived this morning and am seriously tempted to buy some in size two once the dts are big enough as they remind me of older style tots which I love. I have also solved the mystery of the rash - it is a sensitivity to microfibre although pockets seem fine when we have hemp or bamboo boosters in them as well as the mf inserts, when I use my dream dri or flip stay dry inserts on her they give here a rash .

What a shame about the ittis myjob - I have heard others say that the larges cause a lot of wing droop. I am awaiting my replacement nappies for my ittis btw, I chose some thirsties duo diapers in the end so excited about those.

Will probably regret asking this but how are you getting on with your BBH Magic-all? Am thinking these might be the answer to an ittiless stash.

Also a long shot - but has anyone here knitted up the snapdragon soaker pattern? MIL is trying to understand the pattern but is confused by the needle sizes and the terms such as short rows. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Oh OK then maybe not! Have just read some posts on CNT that said pretty much the same thing. Am looking for slim under jeans and non stretchy trousers ideally. What about the Bambooty? The only issue I forsee with them is the sizing as dt1 is a pound or so under the minimum so may not be useable for a while (you see I have a good reason for liking one-size things). Maybe I should wait and see what I think of the thirsties? Although they are not a cute as ittis .

Hi all! Remember me?! lol, feel like I have been away for ages!

Mumface - Oh no, I am so sorry I know there isn't much we can say to help but we are all thinking of you and your family.

Rachel - Congratulations, thats fantastic news!

I am now giving up on selling for a while as I am fed up of complete nutters!

I have been swapping though and I am hoping that I will soon have enough flip inserts to use almost full time, for when I want to keep on top if the washing or for rainy days etc when I can't hang outside!

Still both in disposables as still staying with family! We SHOULD get the keys on Monday so we can start sorting the house out! Am excited, but not looking forward to the stress of it all!

salbysea · 10/04/2010 00:46

can't sleep because DH dropped a full bottle of tea tree on the tiles (so it smashed) and its REEEEALY strong and giving me a headache and making my eyes stream

of course DH and LO are not bothered and fast asleep LOL! typical!

still having rubbing issues on inside of LO's thighs since he's taken off on two feet. First it was the front BTP poppers on stuff like coolababys, so switched back to ittis and WNs and cushis, but today even the ittis rubbed and left sore red marks! Am I going to be limited to cushis and WNs??? that could get expensive

and finally, have a Q about fleece liners:
can you use them on all nappies. I use them on night nappies but as some of his pockets have thin fleece inside (like the coolababys) was worried that it would be doubling up fleece so too water repellant??
can you use fleece liners with ittis or does it delay the absorbency and make them leak?

Thanks for your messages, we have also just found out my sisters other elder daughter is pregnant, so she will never know her aunty, but something for my sister to look to in the future. Bittersweet news I suppose.
On the nappy front, Lewis has totally regressed due to the trauma in the house and is back in nappies. But I am not forcing the issue.

Evening all I hope you have all been enjoying the sun, we have only got dd's 3&4 at home for the next week or 2 as the older dd's have gone away touring in my parents motorhome. We took the dd's to the beach today and had the first paddle of 2010, i was surprised how warm it was even at the coast, shorts and t shirt weather definately.

Mumface, lovely news about your dn's baby.

Mumface-your purchases all sound rather lovely! I'm still on fluffy wagon, I need to get this house and garden finished before any more splurges!

Salbysea · 10/04/2010 21:37

myjob what's LLS? NO NO don't tell me actually, have enough of an addiction to cloth to be doing with for no! And thanks for the tip, I'll get chopping fleece!

got a bambooty and an itti AIO and a fuzzy bunz today

mumface congrats for you niece. something to look to the future for

Salbysea · 11/04/2010 14:39

ARGH why do WN put a scratchy label on the inside thigh area in their one size pockets??
what's the point of nice soft minky if there is a rigid scratchy label right where its gonna rub on a toddler (or even be uncomfortable on a non toddler)
They are beautiful but unusable

Quick catch up

Had great time up North - lovely - lots of long walks and too much wine. Stayed at my brothers near Sedbergh - other side of motorway to Kendal.

Mumface - how totally devastating for you and your family I am so sorry. My thoughts are with you xx

Salbysea · 11/04/2010 20:37

forward would be worse because of the position of it, think I'll try chopping the label off then sort of stitching the minky around it if that makes sense?

octothechildherder · 12/04/2010 08:27

Sal - not sure really re the label - seems silly place to have it.

Am catching up slowly! DH has just missed his flight to Newcastle - didn't check his ticket properly and had moved an hour earlier - doh!!! No more flights til 5pm ... doh!

Need to unpack and whizz over to Bristol to collect parcels! Exciting! Should be some custom orders coming in them so will get in post today.

octothechildherder · 12/04/2010 09:18

oooh have had another parcel delivered - PP customs already - yippeee!

bagpuss · 12/04/2010 09:59

Oh, just got your e-mail octo, thanks!

Morning all! Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Sal, I know which label you mean, we just usually tuck ours in though. I'm sure if you sent WN an e-mail they might be able to sort it out if you didn't want to chop it off yourself. They are very good with customer service usually.

Octo, you should have popped in for a cuppa on your way back down the M6 - glad you had a nice break!

Mumface, good news about your niece.

4, very about the seaside paddling. I really do need to live closer to the sea I think!

Hi, Jenny good luck with the house - how very exciting!

No news here - three older dcs are back at school this morning so all is very quiet for now .

octothechildherder · 12/04/2010 10:18

Yeah Bagpuss - they are lovely!

Yesterday was loooooonnnggggg - J37 M6 to M61 then M65 Blackburn, hung around with ernie for 3 hours while dh and boys at footie, back on M65, M6 (food stop, then 12 miles later toilet stop ), M5 and M4 .... only 8 hours in total - the motorway was pretty good actually - just that ds1 took up professional moaning within an hour of leaving and continued throughout the journey ... and we have no food in house so have to go food shopping with them which I never ever do so while am very excited about parcel - the thought of food shopping is keeping me well wrapped in my dressing gown!

octothechildherder · 12/04/2010 10:23

GENIUS MOMENT ALERT!!! Have booked all three boys into Creche at Cribbs Mall for midday - so can go food shopping hooray!!! Will then treat them to lunch.
