Hehe, myjob! Octo, mine arrived too. They are really lovely and I am very pleased with them. Such a bargain too compared to other fleece covers I've had. Will try to get a pic of the dts together wearing them if I remember later. Give me some Little Lamb Bamboo drying vibes though please as I was planning on trying the two together to see how they perform overnight and the LL are still on the line at the moment .

octothechildherder · 13/04/2010 15:01

Yeah - great news! Would be great to have pics and pics of the twins next to eachother with the patches showing! Cute

Drying vibes being sent - is super sunny here so sending some to you now!

Hiya everyone it's another gorgeous sunny day here in Norfolk so I'm posting from my deckchair in the garden whilst the dd's fight play in the wendy house

Im still on the fluffy wagon, there is nothing we need ans nothing I fancy although I am looking forward to seeing the new itti d'lish prints, wonder if we will be able to get them here?

Argh sun has just gone behind the only cloud in the sky ans now it's cold!! I stripped my phil and teds down today and have washed all the covers so they are drying nicely. Off out for leaving drinks tonight as one of my neighbours is moving on Saturday, will be funny yet sad.

Hi
hope you dont mind me intruding
i put a post asking for help and i was recommended a couple of nappies.
Ive been using the Mothercare smart system for our dd, still in medium at th moment but i know i need/should buy next size or i was thinking of trying something different.
I dont mind it in 2 pieces like the smart system, where you use the insert and liner but also quiet fancy the 'all in one'? (not sure on right terminology!) thought those might be better for when out and about...but then ive read about...'fuzzys' 'Itti SIo', 'bums' or something ! so now im even more confused! but do know def dont want wrapping/folding etc else dh will have a meltdown! our dd is now 14months...so not sure on sizes either, oh and if anyone has 'odd' ones that they think i may like that i could buy or where do i get trial packs from???

thankyou for listening!
Im going aqua areobics in a bit but will try and pop on later)
as said hope you dont mind me popping in
love
Tracey

myjobismum - what a lovely welcome...thankyou

How much does your DD weigh? 10.40kgs (22.15 Llbs) but that was last month
*What sort of build is she? id say slim, tho is long! she has just started to wear 12 -18mnths clothes althoughcan still fit in 9 -12mnths Next clothes
*Does she have sensitive skin? has a few patches of baby eczema but i wouldnt say particular sensitive
*Do you cloth overnight and if so, what are you using? errr no, used once or twice with smart system but leaked and woke baby up so tend to use disposable just for nightime
*what washing/drying facilities/space do you have? washing machine, tumble drier, outside washing line, not a huge amount of space, but i can always find space!
*do you have a budget in mind? not too expensive as only just returned back to work haha
thankyouuuuuu
mumface - i dont know you but just wanted to say im very sorry for you and your family, a loss is awful whatever age but one so young even moreso
Love

Hello babydrip, I used Smartnappies on my middle son, if you like that concept, Bumgenius flip are similar and great they are a pad that fits in an outer shell but are much more reliable and the microfibre inserts dry quick and have a stay dry layer. I found the outer wrap nice and stretchy and got a good fit on my 3 year old and 9 month old too.

babydrip · 14/04/2010 19:06

mumface · 14/04/2010 20:20

Bumgenius v3 are a pocket nappy, so the insert goes inside thru slot and nappy goes on in one part, flips are a 2 parter, but the absorbent bit can be put in place ready so no fiddling about when changing. You can also just replace the pad when outer isn't dirty unlike a pocket nappy. But I like bumgenius pockets too.

Hi again - would suggest itti bitti, bambooty or cushie tushie - coolababy are good and cheap (on babybots website) but are a pocket nappy.

Babybots · 15/04/2010 08:32

Hello Everyone [waves]

just catching up, we have also been away up North well almost as far north as you can go! Oh and a trip into Scotland to pick up Step children. Took all the children to Hagerston Castle Haven site for a week! (waved at you on the way home Octo)

Hope everyone is ok, i need to have a catch up!

Right off to read

octothechildherder · 15/04/2010 08:48

Babybots · 15/04/2010 09:05

Octo yes We can have a virtual cake! Well you can, im haivng a real one... or 2... or 3!! Maybe some sparkling stuff too!

Mumface ive just had a quick catch up and OMG!
((((((())))))) Big hugs and im thinking of you. What a waste of life, so young so unfair.

4andnotout · 15/04/2010 10:40

Morning all Im firmly in the dog house here as I didn't get back home until after midnight was completely sober though which was bit of a shocker after 6 pints of lager

Nothing exciting to report, hopefully going to get dd1 some new school shoes today it depends what time dp gets back this morning but as he is sulking it may be a while yet!!

mumface · 15/04/2010 10:49

Morning, thanks for all the best wishes & hugs I really appreciate it.

Octo- always welcome suggestions! Will have a peek at your site now, see what's new.

Awful morning again getting Lewis to nursery he screams and he cries for me not to leave him very hard atm The minute he wakes up he starts. He is very clingy as has not been left with many people before. Elliot just used to run in and not look back so not sure how to handle it. Nursery have said to give him a kiss, reassure him I'm coming back and walk out not to let it drag on.
Any ideas? He takes his doggy toy that he sleeps with as a familiar item.
