Just checking in for mumface.

mumface · 31/07/2010 13:23

Hi, tests have shown it is viral meningitis, they are still trying to reduce brain swelling. We are hoping her little boy and my other cousins 2 year old girl don't have it as they have spent a lot of time together this week.

Mumface, just catching up; sorry to hear about your cousin, and hoping that she is OK and that the wee ones avoid catching it....hugs to you all.

Fluffy post here today Looks like bumble will be back in cloth tomorrow (nappy rash allowing) V 3 Dreamy Dry....outers very different to the last lot I had, less flannely. Will be interesting to see how they go as they are VERY slim!

treedelivery · 02/08/2010 11:44

Hi all.

How's it going mumface?

I am going to have to sell fluff. Am thinking of trying to part with a very very delish Upsy Dasy pocket. It has blue munky for the sea, and lighter for the sky, and embroidered little beach, palm tree nad seaguls.

Can you imagine how cute? Hey ho. I mght get a good price for it.

Am even thinking of the large Itti's, as I know they would sell. Wll certainly put my 3 mediums on soon.

We need some extra ££ as I bought dd1 some lovely fitted 3/4 sleeve school polo shirts. ABout £20 worth. And they are gone. Totally vanished Bonkers!

mumface · 02/08/2010 12:27

She's doing well now thanks Tree, responding to the treatment. Says she should be out in about 10 days time. Kids are not showing any symptoms either

Surely the shirts must be in the house/car/ somewhere? Or do you think you left them in the shop! (I have done that)

Kids have gone beserk today really stroppy. Had a busy week with their dad off work. Now they are bored. We call the come down 'nice time syndrome'

Had replacement starburst easyfit come today (bleach mark on other) and turquoise, blue and chocolate Itti's.

Got my eye on a really nice changing bag in a sale but no funds till tomorrow, hope it's there still. Will link when I've bought it

Hi everyone

Not much fluff wise to report, had a crappy appointment at the hospital with dd4 today, other than that all the same as usual.

LacksDaisies · 02/08/2010 12:59

OMG.....I have three things to say:

minkee wonder OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHs

Glad your cuz is on the mend mumface, and I hope there are no lasting effects.

We are strapped for cash here too, so here's hoping I get this job that I have an interview for on Weds...it'll be a hideous commute though meaning 12 hours in daycare for the DC. Sooo torn between wanting to get back to work, needing the money, and not wanting to leave the kids for wuite that long. Can't see how it's going to work. I've tried to get part time/evening work to elliminate childcare requirements but there is nothing available round here at all...except doorstepping for cable or energy companies.

LacksDaisies · 02/08/2010 13:02

4, what did the hospital say?

My 11 yo nephew is a tiddler, DS at 8 is taller then him and they reckon he will only get to about 5'2" as an adult. He is otherwise healthy though so my sis isn't worried about it and althought they mentioned growth hormones at one point, she didn't want to consider it.

4andnotout · 02/08/2010 13:11

She has to have blood tests in a fortnight to check her thyroid function and full blood count etc, then will re weigh her in november, the thing is she is delicately built and so full of energy she never stops so she burns off everything she eats (Which is a lot!) Dp will take her for the bloods as i will cry if they hurt her! Im only 4'11 and Dp isnt tall so they are all likely to be smaller than average, dd1 is huge but thats as her biodad was 6'3. DD2 is 5.5 and now starting to wear 4-5 years clothes.

mumface · 02/08/2010 14:27

The first 100 people to 'like' Maclaren yellow submarine pushchair page on facebook will get a free pushchair seat liner. I've just done it was no.57 I think so get in soon. See my fb page for link those that have me!

Tree - I might be interested in your large itti's. Email me at nandeb at gmail dot com if you are still interested in selling them.

steph1512 · 02/08/2010 20:06

I think i was in time for the liner yay!

mumismyjob volunteering at a maternity unit sounds fab..i would love that if i had any extra time or energy

I am struggling to find itti's for sale anywhere they are all sold out ..except the expensive ones must not be ordering new stock until the new colours arrive!

Tree - what colours are you mediums??

LacksDaisies · 02/08/2010 20:15

ha myjob...sell off half your stash and use sposies for a month; it's working wonders on my nappy mojo

What are you doing at the maternity unit? Sounds interesting!!

4, similarly my sister, who is just 5" and her DH who is 5'4"...their children were never going to be giants. Sis was also skin and bone as a kid and ran everywhere, climbed trees, was a real go getter. Her DS is just the same. Fingers crossed all her bloods come back OK. Are they checking for coeliac disease?

treedelivery · 02/08/2010 22:07

Out of interest, as selling is absolutely banned on this thread, I have noticed that dd2 has recently grown out of her bright green and turquoise itti's.

4 - my dd1 was checked for Coeliacs at about 3.5, She hadn't gained wright for about a year or so and fallen through the centiles.

was sure she was fine really, but would have been wracked with uilt if I'd been normalising something that turned out to be something. At least if it all turns out to be nothing you can forget all about it. And I'm sure it will

LacksDaisies · 02/08/2010 23:19

lol tree, and out of interest, what size nappies is she needing now?

treedelivery · 02/08/2010 23:39

These days she is needing large magic-alls as she hasn't quite enough, and is comfortable in large Ittis.

Medium blueberry sidesnaps fit fine.

I have completely lost a brown itti. Imagine!

4andnotout · 03/08/2010 09:05

Im not sure what they are testing her blood for actually, he mumbled something about full blood count, and thyroid and the slip he gave me has loads of initals on but i dont know what any of them mean.

4andnotout · 03/08/2010 09:09

CRP-Liver function?
TFT-THYROID FUNTION?
TTGA- NO IDEA!
