Lack I've seen your list, I'm waiting to get my HIP grant before I go nappy shopping. I'm semi hoping you still have some of your stuff left by the time I get to it.

mumface · 04/07/2010 21:21

Just seen a youtube demo that shows how to make a nappy by folding up a t-shirt! it's pretty ingenius. It's on the Blueberry diapers page.

mumface · 04/07/2010 22:21

I went to facebook friends and sent an invite, it should suggest the page to you, check your e-mails. Maybe it is slow. Think I sent a mini lala one to a few earlier aswell.

hi again

Tree delivery, if there is a strong amonia smell on nappies it might be worth my barley water trick. Just one cup/bottle to drink before bed and helps to neutralise the pee, my MIL suggested it to me. I though it was weird but it really works

Another itti fan here. We had 4 smalls ahhh those were my first ever fancy nappy. Then I have 4 or 5 mediums. In the larges I have

lilac SIO
purple SIO
turquiose SIO
pink SIO
rockmelon SIO
strawberry fields red polka AIO
Pretty in pink polka SIO
moo moo AIO
and this one

I would like the giraffe one i think too! I have a heavy wetter but I like to change every 2 hours anyway so doesnt matter, except overnight!

treedelivery · 04/07/2010 23:24

Ooo thanks littlesez. Any tips on how to get it into her

I think another good thin about the easyfits is that the pocket is large enough to take anything. Loads of room!

littlesez · 05/07/2010 06:18

I just gave it in a bottle and suprisingly Isobella liked it

mumface · 05/07/2010 09:24

Have not seen that Itti before littlesez! Very exclusive. I have a Bitti Brite that I won in a fb comp that's my fave nappy ever.
Put Lewis in an old style easy fit and on the way to school he must have weed through the lining at the side, missed the bamboo completely and soaked his shorts. It's putting me off trying the new ones tbh. Do they still only have absorbency in the middle with panels of polyester each side?

hermya, what was it you were after and I'll hold it back for you if you like?

Off to check out the "nappy from T-shirt" demo...DD is bleating on about more nappies for her dolly!! I gave her my ex demo lollipop rainbow one as I didn't think it wold sell and now she wants more!

Did anyone see the nappy auction page on FB? Someone has organised an auction in aid of Tommy's, it's on 19th July. I've RSVPd to it so it should be on my profile. I'm sending a couple of nappies for the auction rather than buying though!

CharlottesClan · 05/07/2010 10:04

mumface are you doing it up tight enough around the waist? i find on mine if i dont do it up right it gaps when he sits down and then we get leaks like you mentioned. also the rise is very generous i find, is he on the right setting? george is still on the second rise setting when hes on fully unsnapped in most of his other nappies.

bagpuss · 05/07/2010 10:25

Hi all! Swampster, dts are doing fine thanks for asking .

We have easyfits here. The V2s are wider for stuffing and have the same bamboo as the stretchies do on the top part of the core then the underside of the core is mf. They do still have the poly stay dry bit around the core on the inside though but also have velcro which can cross over both ways now too. There is no extra booster when you buy the printed ones but I have been using my bamboo tots boosters inside the pocket for some extra absorbency with great results. I might sell my V1 and buy another print easyfit I think - as soon as they are dry I use them again! I also love our bambootys at the minute and really would like some more . Am tempted by the mini la las too mumface. I also have bought some new itti SIOs a few weeks back and am finding them much better than the small ones I had (thanks Babybots!), so all in all I'm pretty happy with my stash on the whole.

Mumface, you sent me the pages on FB so am off to have a look now - intrigued by nappy from T-Shirt!

treedelivery · 05/07/2010 10:35

Hi all. Am blatently plugging my breastpump which is for sale in...er....breastpumps We need the funds, I'd rather hand on to it. Selling it feels like I mght not have another baby

mumface · 05/07/2010 10:46

CC, the easyfit was on the largest possible and only just does up around the waist as Lewis is 3yrs 4 months now, so I think it was because he was perched on a ledge sitting outside the shop window. Starting to get worried he will still be in nappies when he starts school (got a year tho)

CharlottesClan · 05/07/2010 10:51

that video is brilliant.

my day nappies are due a strip wash so i think a day in dhs old tshirts may work. i was going to buy some terries. any one use them btw?

4andnotout · 05/07/2010 10:51

CC DD4 is teething big time too which is a bit of a novelty for us as the others breezed through with no sleepless nights etc but she has the hirrid poo, dribbles, grinds and gnashes her teeth and is up and down all night as soon as the calpol starts wearing off I hung the nappies out this morning and couldnt believe the stains, its amazing how teething can affect her so much!

Well my school nemesis friend was supposed to visit this morning so i have tidied and cleaned like a mad thing, then she cancelled 5 minutes after she was due At least i can have a nice quiet morning as dd3 is at preschool and dd4 is cuddled up to me watching cbeebies.

treedelivery · 05/07/2010 10:52

littlesez - 'll try the bottle. Cheers for that!
Fngers in my ears about the mini lala, they are lovely you know. I got a cotton one so that does wick a bit. These new ones are anti-wick and I could really really fancy one. I also want another bambooty.

And all of the nappies every anywhere

Agree the TB rise is huge, and after so many tiny nappies it takes some getting used to . I tried to put it one like an itti, so almost on the hip. The nappy went to her knees! So now I wrap it up around her belly button and the ft is better. I think they are a good big nappy, more truly btp than many that claim it. So they do need to be worn high, and with poppers used even when other nappies, say a minlala, wouldn't. f that makes sense?

4andnotout · 05/07/2010 10:54

I loved Terries, i used them on dd's 1 & 2 before i knew about shaped nappies and then i use them whe dd3 and dd4 were newborns as they look so cute and dp can fold one in his sleep

CharlottesClan · 05/07/2010 10:55

awww tree i felt super sad selling off my small nappies for the same reason

mumface of course! i forgot he was so big
dont worry im sure he will PT soon, thomas was a very late trainer and did it suddenly one day of his own insistence, despite not showing any signs of being ready and failing the few times we had tried. boys!!

4andnotout · 05/07/2010 16:13

Still no sign of my wipes or fluffy post

littlesez · 05/07/2010 22:06

I used terries for newborn phase and for diarrhea ewwww! Loved my terry squares

Hermya321 · 05/07/2010 22:44

Lacks I'll have a look at your list and email you. But in all seriousness, if someone with a genuine offer comes along in the meanwhile then by all means go with them.

mumface · 06/07/2010 10:57

Just found out my WN were finished on friday, posted yeasterday but there was a delay with despatched e-mail, so should come soon. Would anybody else put any of the other new minilala prints on a boy? They are not all pink but a bit 'swirly/flowery' but I love them!
