littlesez · 03/07/2010 16:41

Hello again,

erm i might of ordered a tutu soaker
In my defense a) it was an impulse but and b) It was my husband who said get it!

I over lanolise too as i feel it helps with my mega piddler soaking her night nappies.

I have never ordered a custom WN for myself just wholesale for my shop and have had no major problems. I just waited a good few weeks for other custom nappies though, don't you just hate waiting! I am get excited when postman comes

Still to arrive the mentioned tutu soaker and 2 puddlekins night nappies.

I think the insert is mf with a bamboo core, the inner is bamboo. Did you see the tots fb are still doing the teenyfit give away?

CharlottesClan · 03/07/2010 18:56

i did 4, but my friends baby is just outside the dates typical eh?

Hermya321 · 03/07/2010 21:08

Right so I'm looking at my big nappies to buy list and I'm feeling a bit lost.

I'm thinking of buying a combination of bumgenius, tots bots pop n gro, one or two cute nappies, some bumbles, some tots bots cotton two parts and motherease wraps and maybe an itti to see what all the fuss is about.

Also some reusable wipes.

Also do I need a nappy bucket or a just get a monkey foot wet bag?

What size wet bag do I need for when I'm out and about?

Feeling slightly clueless.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2010 22:02

Aha, hermya....you want to get yourself over here I think I have most things on your wishlist....bargain prices for the new and good second hand deals too!!

Can I do that, link my own for sale thread? Or will I get my knuckles rapped?

PMSL at the wool stash hoarders....me too Am knitting/crocheting for the school craft fair in November though. I have to go into town every other Thursday and there is a wool shop right next to the place I have to go to..oooops!

TimeForANewWan · 04/07/2010 13:47

Hermya my Ittis arrived in the post yesterday. Prewashed and line dried them as soon as they got here and have got one on DS right now. Have changed the snap-in once and have to say I am LOVING it. The rise is really low and the nappy is also very narrow but it seems quite deep, so can accomodate the bamboo soakers very well. Being bamboo it has also got excellent absorbancy (so far) looks very cute , I think that they would be even better for a girl (so you could see the nappy beneath a dress - and show it off) truly delicious.

However, I don't think they would do for a 'work-horse' more a show off/going out type

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 13:58

our mediums ittis did birth till about 7ish months. they were pretty much all we used (although we did have lots of other bits) as dh loved them, i think we had every colour except brown and cream. they were brilliant and i nearly bought a whole set of larges.

thank goodness i didnt now hes a mega wetter! we have one large that gets used after dinner before bathtime, as it only lasts about an hour.

treedelivery · 04/07/2010 14:39

Hi all.

Am sending all my non-microfibre nappies to my mums for a mega wash in her lovely water. So good the Romans made beer with it and now they make John Smiths too.

I can't get the amonia out of hemp, bamboo and cotton. They are ok for a few goes, but then the smell builds up. One wee and it stinks.

On the Itti front, our mediums are still just about ok - at 16 months! Large are a little large, but fine. We can get 3-3.5 hours out of one, and easily 4-4.5 with the mini booster.

Although now she is a a toddler I think we'll need more mini boosters, and I'll need to use them as standard.

When we are out I either use a small or a med, depending on how long we are gone. Or I take a small, with a med folded up inside for emergencies.

I use a bucket, because I'm lazy and like the fact I can sling nappies in [possible form 4 feet away]. Lots swear by the xl monkey foot, which is prettier by 100 miles

Nice to have some new nappyheads

4andnotout · 04/07/2010 15:54

Dd4 inherited dd3's large ittis when she was 13 months she is now 20 months and still wearing them with the tabs overlapped! Dd4 is a light wetter and can even wear an itti overnight, dd3 would out wee one in about 3-4 hours but it was more wicking issues with her snap up vests I think. Next time I think I'd go for the Aio's as I prefer them and I haven't had any scrunch issues with my aio unlike the sio.

I use monkeyfootwet bags instead of a bucket, I have 2 of the xl so that I always have one clean, I also have a medium for out and about and a small for wipes!

I shall have to sit on my hands later as there are some tutu soakers going onto bespokebabyroom!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2010 16:07

Can I still talk nappies, if I'm not using them? I'm still entering competitions on facebook to win them as well.....madness!

I use(d) a bucket; because that's what I bought when I first started out, but amassed a few wetbags when buying various nappies which I used when out and about. They also make great toiletries bags and for keeping your wet swimming gear in.

Have so far resisted a MF wetbag, but may treat myself to one to use for my makeup when travelling.

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 16:25

gutted no one else has any trouble with ittis and absorbency. maybe my one needs a strip wash.. but then id buy loads more if the started to work for us again so maybe im best not knowing?

im coveting an easyfit. although i already have 5 V1s.. worrying isnt it? i need a V2

course you can still chat nappies daisy, not your fault is it? its not lack of willing, life just got in the way.

my nappy bucket is full and its annoying me as i have tons of washing to catch up on but id rather put the nappy wash on

4andnotout · 04/07/2010 17:04

CC have you seen the easyfits seconds on ebay? i bought five for £39 posted which i thought was good, cant wait for mega fluffy post!! Or are you just covetting a print v2?

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 17:08

a print one 4. i def dont need anymore nappies, i just really like the new prints

4andnotout · 04/07/2010 17:13

Im the same I forgot about the 2xv1 and 2x v2 that i already had

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 17:17

im gutted they have changed the design though. are they as absorbent with the microfiber? i really like the fact they were all bamboo

4andnotout · 04/07/2010 17:27

IMHO they are greatly improved and the drying time has improved, the insert was too small widthways imo and now they are easier to stuff, the outer fabric is much better too, much stretchier.

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 17:29

is it the 4 pack of brights that you bought 4? i am very tempted if they are still around in a few weeks time to get some.

look what you have done, dh will kill you!

4andnotout · 04/07/2010 17:33

These ones I havent recieved them yet but i already have a couple of plain v2's, and a cherrylicious on the way from the fb competition.

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 17:36

yes thats what i was looking at.

i might buy a patterned one, and if i get on with it i will buy a pack. not that i need them..

pain in the neck having such a heavy wetter, already cant use ittis and wn pockets for very long without wicking problems.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2010 17:51

wow 4...bargainacious. Is it wrong of me to want to buy them anyway?

mumface · 04/07/2010 17:56

I got 5 easyfits ebay seconds too, I paid £42, am coveting a new cosmic easyfit. But had to choose between that and a new print mini lala and couldn't resist the minilala birdcage forest print.
Also have a GK funtime coming in day at the sea which is the same print as on the mf sandwich bags with little boats on it.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2010 17:56

CC, the bamboo bit is still against the baby's skin. I got over five hours out of a V2 with no leaks. Fabulous nappy imo.

..but if it's nappies for a heavy wetter you're after, you really can't go wrong with Baby Beehinds bamboo. A real powerhouse of a nappy. My friend's DS was an olympic gold winning wetter and those or Flexitots and a bombproof wrap like ME were the only things that worked for her.

CharlottesClan · 04/07/2010 18:14

we are pretty sorted for fitteds, WNNL with an easy peasy hemp under wool will do us five hours easy.

i think mainly its any pockets/aios with a minkee outer. so am loving anything pul and patterned lol!

dont spose you still have the V2 daisy
