Oh yes CC I know the feeling! I am waiting on my WN pockets, been over 3 weeks now. Also like the look of the new mini lala's they are poly outers instead of cotton now so should be much more reliable. More for girls though as is often the case! Am definately getting a new print Easyfit when funds permit, in planets I think.
The stretchy tots are excellent if she doesn't mind using separate fleece liners. Did you see how they gave out loads of Teenyfits on fb the other day?

Hi Hermya321 CharlottesClan and mumface

The weather has unfortunately had a turn for the worst here today so I've had to dry my new stash indoors. Hence only the Flip Stay dry inserts were fully dry today and have only been able to use them, with our gorgeous ribbit wrap. Going very well so far, no leaks or anything. And DS is happy

I have also just been given two brand new 'Pop-ins' by another member of our breastfeeding group. She was given them on some kind of promotion but has decided not to go the cloth route. I did try a pop-in with the Dream-dri inserts during my trial but found it too bulky and not that absorbent. Has anyone used the original?

mumface · 02/07/2010 18:38

Hi TFANW, is it a bamboo pop-in? I have tried them, but there was a version 1 and 2. The first usually says modern baby on the tag, second version says close parent (but a few changed design b4 they changed the label I think) anyway, the newer version are pretty good, much more absorbent than the micro-fibre.

ive got an older version 'modern baby' on the label. cost me £1 from waitrose when they couldnt sell them
i think its great, its not leaked on us so far, but the rise is quite low and i think ds will outgrow it fairly early. but for a quid who can argue?

three weeks mumface? that a while, esp when they are churning out mama pack sets several times a week

clean green nappy machine have fuzzis for a tenner, and tb stretchys for 8.79 (amongst other things) if you are interested

CharlottesClan · 02/07/2010 19:52

oh and yes mumface i saw the giveaway, i was gutted i hadnt said she was expecting would have been perfect for her!

mumface · 02/07/2010 20:02

Yes CC it is a bit annoying also when you see someone has had their WN order rushed through as they are going away, when you have been waiting 3 weeks...

like their returns policy that actually NOT their returns policy. eh? return an item get your account closed

Hermya321 · 02/07/2010 20:44

Are weenotions really that bad? I must admit I haven't ordered from them, but some of their designs look quite nice.

swampster · 02/07/2010 20:49

Weenotions are lovely in my experience - the nappies and the people. I think if you want something made specially, you have to accept there will be a wait. Or buy off-the-shelf.

TimeForANewWan · 02/07/2010 20:49

Ooh yes these are close parent and bamboo. So that means they're the better ones, right? We've decided to keep DS in disposables at bight for the first week while we get the hang of full time cloth.

Any suggestions for the night nappies?

mumface · 02/07/2010 20:58

I've never had any problems with WN. Just had a longer wait than usual that's all.

swampster · 02/07/2010 21:00

Weenotions Night Notions, Holden's Landing Bedbugs, Baby Beehinds bamboos, Tots Bots stretchies - but you shouldn't need to worry about special night nappies until your baby is a bit bigger.

I really hated Pop-ins btw but I know they have their following.

4andnotout · 02/07/2010 21:18

Evening all

CC I would definitely recommend the tots stretchy they are my night nappy of choice, if I have dc5 I will be using them without tye booster from day one! Also loving the new easyfits I already have 2 plus my new bright and a cherrylicious which I'm waiting for.

I'm trying to tell myself dd4 doesn't need tutu pants from Bespokebabyroom, have funds burning a hole in paypal

Evening all, just checking in to mark my place! Hi to the new people - will go and read the rest of the new posts properly now .

bagpuss · 02/07/2010 22:36

TFANW, my MIL just knitted some snapdragon soakers for my two - they are fab and highly recommended!

myjob, have you seen the lovely yarn on SMS - some of it is so pretty .

pah to BG announcement though - what was all the fuss about?

Oh, just remembered, have got my cherry and cosmic easyfits which are fab and very pretty and have red aplix!

swampster · 02/07/2010 22:38

I have wool lanolising right now. Bit hot fot it though.

I can't knit but I have a friend who is a fabulous knitwear designer. She's not a clothie - yet - BUT she just had baby number three and I plan to convert her then set her to work.

swampster · 02/07/2010 22:39

hot fot?

bagpuss · 02/07/2010 22:45

How do you do yours Swampster? I think I rather overdid the lanolin in my last lot and the soakers were a bit sticky. I put them out in the sun to melt a bit and then they were fine though so it wasn't the disaster I first thought. I used some ecover delicate and lansinoh with hot water and put that into a sink with some warm water. Not sure if there is an easier way but it worked pretty well for stuff I had lying around in cupboards.

swampster · 02/07/2010 22:52

I quite like sticky - it's fabulous for his little legs, they are always silky-soft when he is in wool.

I usually use Lansinoh with a squirt of some soapy wool wash but this time I'm using Imse Vimse wool cure which has a lovely consistency. Also have some nice spray-on lanolin from Jabula for next time.

How are your cutie littlies doing, bagpuss?
