I was looking at the fleece boosters on Twinkle on the web, tbh I'd never even thought of boosters. But when I actually thought about it, it made sense.

As for my needs, at the moment I don't really have any. I did see some bamboo ones and from what I've read they seem better for actual absorption.

I was just looking to get a couple to go along with my stock pile in all honesty. So would it be better to get one or two bamboo and maybe a fleece one and see what works best?

mumface · 01/06/2010 21:08

I think without fleece on top are more versatile as you can use them in a fitted nappy on top or inside a pocket nappy. You can always buy or make a few fleece liners to put on top separately if you need it.

Hi all.

Just marking my place, been away and this had fallen off my thread list!

swampster · 06/06/2010 22:35

I had 0 'threads I'm on'! Does this mean I have acquired a Real Life?

We had a WONDERFUL barbecue today with almost no rain. I am drinking a Dark and Stormy - dark STRONG rum and ginger beer.

DS3 is fast asleep in a purple Bedbug with orange snaps and chocolate Sugar Peas fleece wrap with blue snaps.

All is well.

Yes swampster I was beginning to think you'd fallen off the planet - not seen you around anywhere! Though I have to admit, I don't really post anywhere on the net these days - looking after 3 children (in particular, two very active & full of mischief boys!) just takes up all my time from morning till night!

swampster · 07/06/2010 10:52

Oooh, Rachel, if you think you are busy with three...

mumface · 07/06/2010 11:23

Must admit now C is crawling he's not happy to just sit and watch mummy surf the web anymore... into every thing
E's 6 birthday today, so getting a little tea party ready for after school.

Get well soon poorly mammas and babes.

My eldest is also ll, earache etc. Back to school today though.

I am trying to sell at the moment I'm selling 2 skirtes and some other bits on cloth nappy tree. I want them to sell because I want cash for plants for the yard when it is finished. I don't want them to sell because I want to horde them and stoke them.

Bet you are loving new house swampster. Fab to see you too rachel.

I think Hattie really has has has grown out of medium magic-alls. DO I sell or stash? We can't have anymore kids, we have no chldcare. Gp's getting a little old really. But we WANT another and those nappies would be perfect......

LackaDAISYcal · 08/06/2010 12:15

Babybots · 08/06/2010 17:52

Hello!
Just also popping in extra quick to wave hi!

Just back from a few days camping in cloth.... the secret is a XL wetbag or 2!!

Hope everyone is ok, need to have a read and catch up.

Congrats on Pink Bump Rachel

Nothing new here nappy wise we are still loving micros and fleece overnihgt and have converted a few friends recently

Getting fed up with the rain today, i've got a ton of washing including nappies to get dry!

Right off to continue to load the machine!

bagpuss · 08/06/2010 19:45

Evening all, just popping back to mark my place too. Swampster, I had 0 threads too, but I don't have a life just rather a lot of offspring!

Rachel, congrats on the pink bump . I believe I shed a tear or two when I found out dt1 was a girl, but only for the very selfish reason that all the WN I had been planning hadn't gone to waste . I think the first thing I said to dh was 'so, can I by some custom pockets now please?' .

myjob, hope you are all soon feeling better. Dt2 has cut two teeth and so has been very grumpy at night but on the whole it hasn't been too bad I suppose.

Tree, don't ask me what to do, I haven't yet sold any of my newborn stash like I said I would. I am hoarding them to stroke and cherish. I recently laid it all out on the bed to admire before putting it in an even better hiding place. I need help I think.

Not much nappy news here. Have bought some BBOS (cow and pink camo) which I really love. Mine seem to have come with a bamboo insert though which is amazingly reliable but not sure whether to buy more as don't really want any with hemp inserts (which most sellers say they come with). They are aplix too which is so much better for my two atm. Also have bought huggalugs and have two cushies on order (ladybird and bee) and also two easyfits in the new prints. (Actually that is rather a lot of nappy news )

A big hello and to all the newbies and congrats to Alle on your new arrival too .

mumface · 08/06/2010 20:35

Where can you get the new Easyfit prints?
My WN order was posted today (turq/lime bug scene side pocket) and am already planning my next. Am thinking of going with velcro too as it's such a struggle to keep the boy down now! Am thinking of black minkee with a big chinese dragon with red inner and red touchtape.

bagpuss · 08/06/2010 20:41

Babipur are taking preorders mumface. Have you seen the phoenix embroidery here ? I think that would also look lovely on a black nappy too. Trouble is there are too many options on WN and I sit there wishing I could just buy them all .

mumface · 08/06/2010 20:53

I like the phoenix one too. Nice new Easyfit prints for the girls but not keen on the boy prints. The teenyfit ones are very cute for a newborn! I've had 3 nappies in my WN basket but have reduced to 2 after it came to over £90 including inserts!

OP posts:
bagpuss · 08/06/2010 21:00

Last week I really wanted to buy some WNNL and SS pockets (had a basket of £140 at one point) but I am managing to restrain myself as I'm not sure I really need them. I have ordered the cherries and the planets print easyfits. Finding one piece and velcro just so much easier for us now although need the security of two parters during the middle part of the day so usually use our stretchies for that. Also like myjob, we have to sometimes alternate between nappy types as dt1's skin is very sensitive.

bagpuss · 08/06/2010 21:01

Also, forgot to say, citrus slush gelato minkee for the inner on the phoenix nappy I think .

Hehe, myjob, same here. I have around 60 now which may sound excessive but when I get a slow drying week (like this week ) I end up scraping around for nappies by the end of it. I use a lot of hemp in our pockets which takes an age to dry and doesn't help matters. Cushie was an impulse buy but I was umming and ahhing between the ladybird and the choc and mint spots but then realised a nappy deficiency in my stash - no red ones! and so the ladybird it was . List of wants include some woolies, some WNNL and some issy bears I think but will have to wait a while.
