soon2befamilyof4 · 26/02/2009 21:59

I am having trouble with paypal and I am off to bed now, please remind me if I forget! I have bought nappies from 4 before now so I am not going to not pay - she knows all my details!!!

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/02/2009 22:04

LOL no worries hunni

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 26/02/2009 22:33

hopefully I'm so and as I was a pretty good knitter when I was little!! made lots of scarves/blankets/clothes for my dolls!!! but that was 20 years ago!!

Hopefully · 27/02/2009 09:50

I haven't knitted an awful lot since I was little either, but am making copious use of Youtube/knitting help videos to remind me how to do really basic things like increase and decrease stitches.

mumoftoby · 27/02/2009 19:42

I you too hopefully knitting but lack the patience. I tried 4 years ago when I had mumps and felt urges to throw it in the bin every time I went wrong.

DS1 was scratched to hell at nursery so have been on that thread - I can't believe how upset I am. Have ordered 3 ittis and 5 extra inserts to make myself feel better

Hopefully · 27/02/2009 21:49

Ooh, I've done a little over a quarter of my longies! I'm very excited. DS has been very well behaved and stayed down this evening so I've managed to get a chunk done. Loving the red colour. Found another, slightly more complicated (but probably more reliable, as reinforced crotch), pattern to try if these ones are a success.

Swampster I've just realised I haven't paid you yet by paypal - will do it tonight some time! (probably when DS gets me up for a feed in about 30 minutes, approximately 15 minutes after I get into bed)

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/02/2009 23:21

Hiya everyone! Seems quiet today! Everyone busy knitting? lol Must try to work on my crochet longies soon, but never seem to find the time. I feel I have a million things to do before baby arrives (due in 4.5 weeks time).

Hope everyone is OK!

soon2befamilyof4 · 27/02/2009 23:30

Rachel - maybe you will have time during all those hours of sitting breastfeeding and recovering in the early days?

TLEs - I have just paypaled you. I wasn't sure if the £2 included postage and paypal fees so to be on the safe side, I have sent £2.50 and covered the fees on top, I hope that is ok? The is absolutly no hurry though. Although I was thinking, if it is quite small and light, it might be ok to just put in an envelope through postbox? To save you going to the post office? What do you think? but honestly, don't rush. I hate going to the post office and also have a bad back and a thousand other things - so I know what it's like. And it has taken me however many days just to paypal you!

soon2befamilyof4 · 27/02/2009 23:33

Oh yer and I am hopefully going to the baby show tomorrow and I know there will be some cloth nappy deals on there. I know modern baby are going to be there so I will hopefully get them to show me how to use the night booster properly!

drlove8 · 28/02/2009 00:00

hello, ive not been on much...... i've been busy sewing wraps- made 4 today! a red with black fleece lineing,a pink and pink, an orange and black and a purple with pink fleece! have new pictures on profile... except the red- DD4 saw the red and tried to put it on herself, ... so that ones undergoing the bed- wetness test. fingers crossed that it doesnt leak!. still after a blueberry- just waiting for funds am then im buying....cant decide what one ,their all too lush!

mumoftoby · 28/02/2009 08:29

drlove8 I have just had a look at the wraps on your profile pics - they look great. did it last overnight? I bet with 8 you are kept busy - I think I am with 2!

Hopefully · 28/02/2009 09:17

Eight?! Please tell me that's a typo on your profile and you do not cope with 8! I can barely get out the door with 1.
The wraps look really nice - like the contrast between the tape and the inner looks brilliant - might be nice to have that contrast on the outside on some.

Soon2be I experimented with knitting while BF last night - it's really hard! I propped DS's head on a cushion so I had both hands, but he kept flinging himself off and going for the wool every time it came into his eyeline!

DS in fact woke me 35 minutes after I went to bed, so i did the paypal then Swampster. Grrrr (at the baby, not you!)

4andnotout · 28/02/2009 10:50

Morning all

Im not at home today, we stayed at my parents last night whilst my dad and dp went sea fishing. Me and mum stayed behind with the kids and cracked open my Gavin & Stacey boxset!
It was lovely to bring my nappies with me rather than using sposies, i have got to try and re-jig my nappy stash when i get home, and sort out where to advertise the last bits. I might have to start reducing prices as nappies are taking over my house!
Im very envious of the knitting, i cant knit to save my life, dd1 is far more handy than me, she is 7 yet has her own sewing machine and can knock up dolly dresses, tabards etc etc!

drlove8 · 28/02/2009 12:10

-wow at little4 , how talented! .i need to get of some of my nappies, have got 5 tots- organic cotton size 2 ive never used, have been prewashed once and been sitting at the bottom of my nappy stack. same as someone could use them.... tried to convert friends daughter- but its a no go- she goes eeewww every timei mention cloth!( she's no idea disposeys STINK compared to cloth!)

drlove8 · 28/02/2009 12:12

ooops should have said " get rid of some" lol.

drlove8 · 28/02/2009 12:15
  • the red wrap i made passed the bed-wetting test.... dd4 is a champion pee-er! well pleased!
