oh lol!
yeah i changed names cos i wanted my own identity, rather than just being a mummy.
plus i think nattythomasandellen + one more MIGHT be a bit much

rusmum · 14/03/2009 13:22

has everyone ditched 2 parters now?

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 13:31

rus looks like it lol

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 13:43

Not me!
Still not convinced I could rely on the pockets not to leak, my baby is going to have slim legs like sister I think. plus I like a choice and a fuss. Clearly mad.

I'm in the market for next size 1 and 2 fluffy things - that don't need tumble drying and wont mind the hardest water on earth.

but not tots bots fluffle size 2 - they are man size! Size 1's would be good.

Most envious of the feeling you'll all get when a big pile of itti's arrive in the post however!! oh what big big fun!!!!

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 13:47

i am doing my first nappy change, not because of leaks, but because its wet and shes been in it since 11! im am happy, 3 hourly changing is enough for me, i know your never gonna get the times as with dispoables without stupid amount of boosting.
im happy to change frequently because its not costing me anything, whether as with disposables i'd stretch them out as much as possible cos it was costing me money.

its taken two systems and a year to find one that works for me, but i am confident my new baby will be in them from day one

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 13:56

Hurrah!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 14/03/2009 14:50

I'm certainly not ditching my fitteds - they're my main nappy and I will never, ever go completely to pockets! Pockets might have their place (I pack FuzziBunz in the changing bag when I'm out & about) but fitted nappies & wraps/wool will always be my favourite!

treedelivery: I've got a Nature Babies Microfibre Dizzy Diaper that isn't getting used. You can see it here: www.naturebabies.co.uk/index.php?cat=Dizzy_Diaper Looks same as the one at the top, but it's the one at the bottom of the page - microfibre outer with pocket for stuffing, lemon coloured fleece inner, and popper fastening. It's BTP too, so has poppers to make it shorter. I don't have the insert for it, but then, you have lots of stuffing cloths!

Anyway, you're most welcome to have it if you like! I'm mainly using natural fibre nappies at the moment (as we have both soft water & tumble dryer), so this is just sitting. Most happy to give it to you if you'd like to try it out! Just a simple nappy (nothing fancy like an itti! LOL) but won't go hard on you!

rusmum · 14/03/2009 15:35

could i fleece line my sandys???? sew it in?

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 16:39

OOO bite your hand off rachelinscotland! Was looking at those on Thursday night! Envy your natural fibres, seems a pita to be doing the environment thing but then buying man made fibres.

Rusmum - I can't see why not. or popper them for changeability. Hmm, good idea. I like it!Would deal with my nappy crunch issues from hard water.

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 16:49

Howling with laughter watching dh change a bum genius. He's insisting the poppers at the front where the stuffing goes.

will update. Tee Heeeeee.

misdee · 14/03/2009 16:52

hi ladies.

i would like some AIO/stuffables for out and about.

dd4 is just under 13lb, chubnky round the legs and middle.

what would you suggest?

just want half dozen or so for days out, so can take a days worth rather than trying to jam 3 tots bots into my bag and praying

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 16:52

lol tree, my DH put his first pocket on this morning, and it was a velcro one and he STILL had to be instructed lmao
he was impressed it was so easy, once he had the hang of it tho

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 16:57

the tots bots AIO are great i have the bamboo ones
www.naturalbabyshower.co.uk/vmchk/tots-bots/tots-bots-easyfit-all-in-one-nappies-bamboo.htm l
very slim and narrow between legs, which is good when you have chubby thighs, my daughter has had problems with rubbing with some of the wider fitting nappies.

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 16:58

www.naturalbabyshower.co.uk/vmchk/tots-bots/tots-bots-easyfit-all-in-one-nappies-bamboo.html

sorry

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 16:59

We have a nappy. He did ok in the end. Harriet less impressed at waiting for her dinner!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 14/03/2009 17:03

treedelivery: If you email me your address (at [email protected] ) I'll pop it in the post to you on Monday! Then you can see if you like them or not without having to invest anything! Not really my ideal shape/style of nappy, but each of us have our own likes/dislikes, so might work for you!

misdee: I really like Fuzzibunz for when I'm out and about - I use prefolds for stuffing and they still don't take up much space! I've got a couple of Bumgenius v2 which work quite well too - but you'd probably get Fuzzis for a bit cheaper than the BG. Yesterday I had 6 large Fuzzis and 6 large prefolds in a small gym sack I got from Tesco for 50p - was impressed with how little space they took up - just having the prefolds in half. Ideal for a day out when you don't want lots of bulk.

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 17:21

fabbo! Am very happy to make nappy fund contribution though! Every little helps and all that.

Ditto Fuzzi Bunz - I saw them somewhere for £6. But for small only. boocoo.co.uk I think

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 17:37

can someone point me in the direction of a site i can get preloved inserts/boosters? we know the nappies we are going for but need to switch to hemp/bamboo (clearly) so i need all new inserts.
anyone know how well the mircoterry ones would sell? or should i hang onto them for resale of the nappies?

ChocOrange05 · 14/03/2009 17:44

First day of DS in Itti Bittis - they are LUSH!! We've had a little leaking on the side as it got a bit wet but DS has v skinny legs (he's about 14lb atm). He christened his first one today with a massive poo and no leakage of that so I was happy. I love the material of them so for his last BF I just stripped him down to the Itti Bitti and stroked it while I fed him.

Got my delivery of 2 minkies today so going to try them tomorrow.

rusmum on the nappy paradise website you need to put your DOB in american format so MM/DD/YYYY. Also they only take pre-orders so I think it takes a bit longer than usual to get them.

kif · 14/03/2009 17:53

Ladies,

[ Sound of thread crashing ]

Can I have some advice please?

My friend has just given me two black bags full of cloth nappies (plus a few clothes). There are lots of bambino mio (a whole birth to potty set?) a couple of Kushies wraps and shaped inners in medium and large and half a dozen all in one nappies.

She didn't ask for money - but tbh I think the volume of the stuff - makes me want to give her some money or a voucher back for them.

Trouble is - I've no idea how much they're worth. Could someone suggest a rough resale price that that stuff might fetch?

Thanks in advance!

(I may be back asking for advice on how to use them all...)

swampster · 14/03/2009 18:01

Natty, some pre-loved hemp inserts here.

Can't help you, kif, in my opinion Bambino Mio and Kushies arethe Devil's own work, sorry.

kif · 14/03/2009 18:12

correction - the ones i thought were bambino mio say 'cotton bottoms' on the wrap label. The inners are squares with blue trim stiched into thirds.

swampy - really? I've been really charmed by the kushies. i've been using tots bots with motherease covers - find the kushies covers more containing.

Ds1 is currently trotting arounf with tots bots nappy plus kushies cover though - i'm not sure the combination works - kusies wrap seems too low at the front compared tp the tots bots... unfortunately suspect will end with wet tummy...
