hey guys, haven't been on here for aaaages. feel a fraud as we are back in paper for one reason and another, but really need to get back in cloth....DS2 has horrible teething rash after horrible teething rash at the minute and now has squitty bottom rash

just a quicky for natty.....have you tried www.boocoobargains.blogspot.com for preloved stuff. i might have some stuff kicking about.

and for misdee, I have some size 2 fuzzis in girly coloursw that i'm going to sell on. let me have a rummage and see what i have...they are all nearly new. email me daisybump at yahoo dot co dot uk.

one of my jobs this week while laid up after an operation is sorting out my stash as DS2 is nealry out of size 1 nappies already.

right, I'm going to try and catch up some.

cyteen · 14/03/2009 18:25

misdee (or anyone, lol) I've got 3 medium Fuzzi Bunz for sale - orange, lavender and periwinkle - no stains, in great condition.

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 18:29

I'd be interested in the lavender and peiwinkle [I was earlier but maybe you missed my post] but don't want to snatch from misdee so go ahead misdee if you fsncy them!

misdee · 14/03/2009 18:34

will contact i diasy, ad yes please cyteen

ChocOrange05 · 14/03/2009 18:40

cyteen I would be interested in the Orange Fuzzi Bunz if misdee doesn't want it - don't want to tread on a fellow Nov08 toes.

ChocOrange05 · 14/03/2009 18:40

oops - x-post misdee!

rusmum · 14/03/2009 20:30

i think i am getting carried away- not even tried an itti and am planning stash sale and overhaul!! LOL

Think i should judt but/loan 1 first??

thebluefoxategreensocks · 14/03/2009 20:38

rusmum: Yes, definantly! You really need to try one in real life first, as you just might find you hate them! Not all nappies are for everyone, so I'd highly suggest trying one out - esp as you've not had success with any of the other pocket type nappies you've tried before!

cyteen · 14/03/2009 20:41

Sorry treedelivery I did miss that - this thread dropped off my radar and baby brain did the rest Maybe you and misdee could split them?

I'd like £7 each posted - have got photos if you want to see

They were DS's very first cloth experience but don't seem to suit his shape so need to go to a better home really.

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 20:42

yes! they might not suit in shape or cut.

treedelivery · 14/03/2009 20:44

sorry cyteen x-posts. no worries!! i am nappy happy so misdee can have 1st dibs - it was her conversation anyway! no prob at all.

misdee · 14/03/2009 20:47

just the orange for me. they may not suit dd4. made tht mistake with dd3 lol

can u email me cyteen [email protected]

afterglow · 14/03/2009 20:53

tree, sympathies, we have hard water and no dryer here too. I know what you mean about man-made fibres, but at least each nappy is getting re-used squillions of times rather than binned after one wearing. I have 3 microfibre teddies and a BG pocket which are my emergency quick dry nappies. Bamboo seems to be a good compromise in terms of softness, it certainly doesn't go as crunchy as hemp or cotton.

rusmum, I won't be ditching my fitteds, they definitely have their place. I love them under a wool wrap. Definitely try an Itti first, I just didn't feel the love. They are undoubtedly cute, soft and effective. Still, leaves me more money to try others.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 14/03/2009 21:06

If anyone gets desperate for some medium Fuzzibunz, I have 2 well-loved (i.e. some staining/discolouring to fleece inner and slight discolouring to leg edges on PUL). But someone can have them FFP (free for postage) if they want them. I've not used them myself, so can't promise how 100% waterproof they are - but anyone who wants to risk them to have as spares, you're welcome to have them!

soon2befamilyof4 · 14/03/2009 21:07

LackaDAISYcal - If you have any onsize pockets left after this lot have had what they want, can you let me know please? We don't actually need anything (just feeding my addiction to buying nappies ). So happy to have last choice.

Been to another NCT sale today and got lots of nappy bargains. Most came in small bundles so have some to sell on. Will right out a list of what I have got for sale later or tomorrow. Have already sold some!

Got some more MEOS today at bargain prices, which means I can get rid of most of my shaped nappies and just keep the MEOS and a few favouites. Oh and the sandys for the newbie when she arrives! I don't think I will be getting rid of my MEOS till I have no babies in nappies TBH! They are excellent for when we are just at home, and hope to use under wool when I have treated it.

Sold lots of BM training pants today at £1 each so that is some more money in paypal towards some more shopping! Going to use it to sort out our night time issues though.

Put DD to bed tonight with 2 nappies on, 2 boosers and an airflow! Must be uncomfortable but she is just waking up drenched every night. Don't worry - this isn't our long term plan! Got my lanolin today so will treat a wool wrap tonight for her but might take a few days to dry and a few goes with lanolin before it is ready for use as it is brand new. Have also got a WNNN to use under the wool BUT I need some better inserts first and my new hemp ones will need several washes before they can be used. Might try my bamboo inserts if the wool is ready before the inserts though.

Tried our new BBOO today and it leaked within half hour . Hoping it is just that the insert needs more washing - how many washes do you think hemp needs? And do you need to dry each time?

SOrry for long post! I could go on all day if I thought I wouldn't bore you all!

soon2befamilyof4 · 14/03/2009 22:55

ChocOrange05 · 15/03/2009 08:52

Hmm - not so keen on the blueberry minkie, although its v pretty its pretty chunky compared to the Itti. It is a birth to potty though so perhaps it will look better when DS is older?? Yes I know, prettiness IS the most important thing!!

soon2befamilyof4 · 15/03/2009 09:56

ChocoOrange - that is what is putting me off buying one/some. I hate the big bums they get and although DD is older I only want to get things that will be suitable for DD2 when she arrives as well really.

Have had a good response for my stuff I am selling and got a pile of parsels for hubby to post tomorrow!! More money for nappy fund!

I wish I had ordered more hemp inserts from easy peasy now that I have the money but hadn't sold much at the time. Still, with free delivery, prehaps I will wait till these get here and see what they are like and then order some more. Although I know hemp takes lots of washes before it can be used . Thats what I hate about brand new nappies!

ellielou02 · 15/03/2009 10:12

Hi all hope you dont mind me (crashing) joining in, I have decided to take the plunge and go with cloth nappies I am a total beginner and need all the advice I can get. I quite like the look of flexi tots, and the itti bitti, if I buy these types of nappy what else do I need (liners etc). Also would like to ask all theses nappies look lovely but do the babies get really hot in them in the summer(cough) months. Any help from you would be great.

cyteen · 15/03/2009 11:04

ellielou02 I rate Flexitots and Ittis, they're both slim and surprisingly absorbent. If you buy Ittis you won't need anything else as they're all in ones, although you might want fleece liners (to make poo disposal easier/less grim) and/or extra inserts - if the inserts but not the outer are wet or dirty you can just pop them out and put clean inserts in, although I've yet to experience this as my DS is such a heavy wetter With Flexitots you'll need outer wraps - Motherease Airflow are great, very leakproof if a bit plain. I use flushable paper liners with mine, or you could use fleece with these too.

swampster · 15/03/2009 11:08

The new generation of wraps from Tots Bots are great and are what Flexitots were made for

cyteen · 15/03/2009 11:09

Yeah, if I didn't have Airflows already I would definitely have gone shopping for some of those. They look so much prettier!

swampster · 15/03/2009 11:10

Ittis are divine and I'm finding small on a newborn heaps more reliable than large on a toddler.

TheNatty · 15/03/2009 11:28

swampster would you say a good system for a newborn then? i might use a diff system for the first few months till the OS fit better.
