Rachel email me your address (swampster at rocketmail dot com) and I will pop an XS Sandy's in the post for you to stroke. I'll hang on to the others for a bit to try out with the wool longies my friend made me and if, in three or four weeks, I don't want/need them but you do I'll send them on too for a small financial consideration.

I have a couple of tie-ons - they have zero absorbency so you still need a booster/insert and a wrap. They are kind of sweet in a knit-your-own-baby sort of way.

mumoftoby · 13/03/2009 10:20

rusmum I got my ittis from Carley at www.bibsnbots.co.uk. They arrived really quick and you get 10% off with code FIRST.

tree that is great news about your dh's new job. I've just found out this week that I was successful at interview to keep my own job, I had the threat of redundancy through maternity leave etc.

Hi all - I have just been lurking, dh has had quite a big operation on his back. I'm stressed about him coming home as he is incapable of keeping still and will be trying to pick up Toby (2 yo) and Blake (9 months). Although, on a cheerful note 2 WNNNs and stacinator wraps have arrived! I got them by putting a wanted msg on the yahoo group.

The wonderful Nappyzone is doing Ittis for £12.99 or three for £36 right now.

Hope your DH's back is all fixed now and congrats on the job, MoT.

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 12:26

Hello - may I join you ladies?? I have one DS born on 10/10/2008 so he is currently 17 weeks old. I have been using reusables from Day 1 but as I was worried about the washing/drying hassle we had a nappy laundry service which was great. However now I finally feel like I can get stuff done in the day I have decided to stop the service and buy my own.

Today I have just had a delivery of 2 Bumgenius 3.0 All in Ones and 2 Itti Bitti D'Lish. I haven't tried either yet but am looking forward to it. On first inspection the Itti Bitti's feel delish!! I also have 2 Blueberry Minkies coming in the post - once I have decided which I like best I will buy a few more of that one. I think 18 nappies will be enough if I'm washing every other day??

So, do I qualify??

rusmum · 13/03/2009 12:31

Welcome chocorange!!!

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 12:35

Doh - DS born 10/11/2008

swampster · 13/03/2009 12:40

Welcome, ChocO, I think I was partly responsible for bringing you over to the fluffy side!

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 12:50

yes - thanks for your help swampster. I must say, from a purely prettiness perspective, I am not so keen on the Bumgenius. I am a vain mummy (not so vain myself but I want a handsome little boy!) - you remember my issue with the big bum syndrome!!

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 12:53

This website has Itti Bitti D'Lish's for £10.99!!

swampster · 13/03/2009 13:07

Agree, BGs aren't a nappy to love but I find them practical and very reliable. And quick-drying...

That's a good, deal on the Ittis, especially if you get a few to spread the postage price. Unless you really want the all in ones, make sure you select the snap in ones.

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 13:09

Whats the difference in the two Itti's? I can't tell. The ones I already have are the snap in ones.

swampster · 13/03/2009 13:14

Not seen an AIO but it is all sewn together and doesn't come apart...

rusmum · 13/03/2009 13:31

tried to register to gat an itti for 10.99 but wont accept birth date?????????

what differences between bbos and ittis?

ANy1 selling any???? to try?

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 14:06

quick question - do i HAVE to wash my nappy before first use?? I am very impatient and want to use it now!!

swampster · 13/03/2009 14:17

It is nice to wash off any factory/handling residue, and if they are natural fibres - hemp/bamboo/cotton - they won't be very absorbent until they've been washed a few times.

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/03/2009 14:42

ChocoOrange - basically, it won't have much absorbancy yet. I would wash it at least once, and then just bear in mind that they won't be at full absorbancy till they have been washed a few times so might need changing a bit more often than usual.

My BBOS came today. I have to say, the first thing I thought was that it isn't really much different to my other pockets. It seems to me, a cross between my mommys touch and BG. But it is the pul version though - so quite plain, just pink. It is nice, but I don't love it. Was cheap though - no insert.

My WNNN also came today. So is it a pocket nappy?? I though it was a normal nappy with just the option to add a bit of extra boosting if needed? I got it preloved with no inserts and the nappy itself is quite thin - surely I will need just as much boosting as my minki pockets? Have to say I am not majorly impressed with it by the look of it, but haven't actually used it yet! And it is a boyish one too but just wanted a cheap one to try and its only for nights and under a nice wooly wrap so thought it wouldn't matter. Do you think there is much point in trying it tonight under an airflow? It will eventually be used under wool hopefully but in the mean time - do you think PUL would be ok? What inserts do I use and how many? I used 2 double bamboo inserts (16 layers in total) in my minki the other day and it was not enough at all .

My Lanolin came today but as I was out and it didn't fit through the letter box - I didn't get it . Really hoping to get it tomorrow but if not it will be monday . I want to use my lovely woolies!!!

rusmum · 13/03/2009 14:53

soon where get manolin from?? I want some!

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 14:59

BBOS, WNNN, PUL??????? Huh!!??!!

swampster · 13/03/2009 15:11

Oh no, next you'll be asking for an acronym list too!

AnnVan · 13/03/2009 15:12

4 I have pp'd you for the pop-in. can't hang about, have a very screamy baby today

swampster · 13/03/2009 15:22
