BBOS - blueberry onesize
WNNN - Wee notions night notions
Pul - is the material used in the wraps - what you have on the outside of your BG nappies . Sorry - I use cloth nappy tree too much and come in here with all their language.

rusmum - I ordered it from "bits and bobs" - I got a scented fruit sundae one!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 13/03/2009 17:04

swampster: Aww, that's really kind of you to offer to send an xs sandies! Surely I can pay you something for it though - just let me know how much you want! OK? I'll email you!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 13/03/2009 17:08

ChocOrange05: re two different kind of ittis, you mean the basic/original ones and the dlish ones? I've not had a dlish yet but they're the minki fabric/furry sort of ones, and the others are just ordinary PUL. I have 3 medium of the original ones (non-furry), but haven't used them yet - well, they don't have complete sets of inserts (got them cheap!) so might try them with prefolds or other bits of stuffing!

And as for the question about how many babies/children , I've got:

Abigail 3yo (Nov)
Benjamin 2yo (just had birthday on Wednesday)
and baby of unknown flavour due on 1st April

No, both these Ittis are fuzzy but one has sewn-in inserts rather than snappy ones.

swampster · 13/03/2009 18:37

I've emailed you back, rachel .

ChocOrange05 · 13/03/2009 18:39

Ah - thanks for clarifying swampster I have no idea which is best but I think the snappies will be good as I can buy extra inserts and reuse the outer bit a couple of times? Rachel I shall let you know how I like the D'Lish, although I have only used tots bots and bambinex 2 part systems before.

swampster · 13/03/2009 18:43

I think snappies are best too, for that reason. And also once washed, a few spare inserts are handy as the outers dry so much more quickly.

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/03/2009 20:19

I am really starting to move onto pockets now. I did prefer my MEOS but growing more and more towards onesize pockets.

How many onesize pockets do you think I would need for 2 babies? Not even sure how many I have got TBH.

treedelivery · 13/03/2009 20:23

Evening all. Hello ChocOrange05!! My dd2 [7 weeks] in a mint snap in itti right now. Oooo stroke that bottom. Too cute. Went to baby massage today and clearly flounced about in our red small itti. I defy anyone not to melt on contact. So small and fluffy.

I love pockets because I love microfibre cleaning cloths. Cheap as chips, don't go crispy, line dry and uber absorbant [so far on a 7 weeker - hardly challenging I realise] One great thing about Harriet getting olde will be seeing how nappy needs change.

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/03/2009 22:41

I am getting rid of some training pants if anybody knows anybody who would want them?

I have Greenkids anytime on the way. Only plain white though . But will let me see what it is like anyway and test out for reliability.

Tree - is the MF cloth alone good enough absorbancy for your baby? I think I am going to end up over stuffing my pockets when I have the newborn as I am so used to DD being such a heavy wetter! Even the proper MF inserts that come with most pockets don't do the job for long with her so have had to invest in hemp and bamboo.

Still not sure where this yahoo group is for selling cloth nappies? And I joined the cloth tots the other day but it said I needed to be approved and still haven't had an email to say I have?

swampster · 13/03/2009 22:44

Yahoo group

TheNatty · 13/03/2009 22:47

soon i joined too and havent had a email, and i cant log in till they approve me. annoying!

do let me know how you get on with GK, ive heard alot of good things, am itching to buy one, but had my fix of fluffy post when my nature babies OS stuffable came this morning, and ive ordered bamboo and hemp boosters too lol!

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/03/2009 22:56

Thank you swampster.

Right I have just sold £65 of wraps on ebay!! I have hubbys permission to spend it all on more nappies! !!

I am just trying to work out the best way to do this though as really, I should be slowing down on what I buy (We have had nappy post everyday for the last 2 weeks or so . It has actually got to the point where on a sunday it feels odd as I havn't had a new nappy!!!)

Have spoken to a mumsnetter about her BG who has 12 for £80 which is a good price BUT I don't really want all the colours, I like girly and funky things. And I am not sure I would be totally happy if I just bought BG and didn't have anything else.

I want to get something soft to try out. I guess it would have to be a BBOS or a GK minkitimes as it needs to be onesize. But I am having trouble finding them at a good price? I prefer preloved nappies to brand new. And I am worrying that the fluffy ones will be more bulky? I really hate DD having a big bum in her bulky cloth!

ARGH! Somebody help me spend this money sensibly!!

TheNatty · 13/03/2009 23:01

soon what are the other colours? im having a boy maybe we could share the sale of the BGs?

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/03/2009 23:05

Oh thats a good idea!

Let me get the link.

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/03/2009 23:09

here.

I definatly would like the pink ones. Not worried if I have a few that are not girly but it was more that if I bought the whole lot then I wouldn't be able to justify any more nappies and would be left with nothing girly!

How many were you looking at getting?

If you want to see the colours, go onto the mothercare website - they have the names of the colours with the pictures.

TheNatty · 13/03/2009 23:16

hmm not sure, im not getting on with the one i have atm, but im sure that its just in need of boosting.
i need to research the differance between the V2 and V3 before i commit, but would want maybe 4? the white green blue and a yellow?

(the yellow looks great on girls btw, ellen has a yellow dress that looks adorable when she bends over to flash her nappy at us!)

treedelivery · 13/03/2009 23:22

Soon - my darling mummy made me 80 [yes 80] fleece liners and also a fleece liner [old dressing gown] wrapped around 3 layers of micro, a cloth folded in 3 basically. They are boosters I suppose.
Because they are sewn down they are quite tidy. I use them in everything, Sandy's, fluffle things, microfleece, stuffables and pockets. Never had a leak and the nappy is rarely soaked through. I like that as the idea of a nappy wet all arounf the waist and bum is a bit depressing on my tiny dd2.

Use a micro cloth to wipe up a spill or wet one and squeeze out the water. It's impressive!

BTW - I bought some pre loved cut for cloth vests and suits that make the huge bum look all in proportion. Doesn't bother me anyway but might be an idea for you.

Hopefully · 14/03/2009 07:41

Woopeee, I am back from my mother's, which means I can go back to obsessing about napies in peace!
Still haven't had a chance to order more nappies for DS, who is suffering a bit at the moment, having become an incredibly heavy wetter overnight - the bamboozles really aren't containing enough at the moment, he seems to be constantly wet in them, and the bumhuggers aren't surviving overnight.

Soooo, any tips for what to stuff the bumhuggers with to last the night? Should I invest in a microfibre cloth today? I don't want to spend absolutely loads on boosters really, but I will if I have to. The alternative is to buy another WNNN, not sure which is better!

soon2befamilyof4 · 14/03/2009 08:45

We get most of DDs clothes as hand me downs (in excellent condition) so wouldn't really want to buy special clothes to fit iyswim?

Yes I use MF in the house and I know how absorbant they are. Very good. It is a shame we don't really get on with them for Elouise, but she just wees for England.

soon2befamilyof4 · 14/03/2009 08:48

Hopefully - do you have any bamboo inserts or boosters you can use? Or Hemp? Or can you put 2 nappies on over the top of each other (next on our list of things to try).

TheNatty · 14/03/2009 08:59

hopefull do you know anyone in RL who uses cloth? im swapping a couple of nappies and inserts with a friend of mine for a week so we can find a night time soultion, she has weenotions and another one, and i have fuzzibunz to swap with lol.

im having the same problems, only my little angel is weeing thru during the day in about an hour too!

Hopefully · 14/03/2009 09:00

I have some hourglass bamboo boosters (not hugely thick though - probably 3 layers of thin bamboo towelling sewn together), which I have been using in the bumhugger, along with the sewn in insert. I suppose the logical thing is to add 2 inserts and see how that goes. The whole thing just begins to look so uncomfortably enormous though. DP has taken to referring to the night nappies as the 'nipple-to-knee' nappies.

soon2befamilyof4 · 14/03/2009 09:00

Hi, does anybody know what happens in this situation - I sold a bundle of 12 wraps on ebay for £65 plus postage to australia. The lady bought it last night with buy it now, and paid with paypal, but I have now had an email to say the listing has been removed as it wasn't approved by ebay. I had already packaged the parcels up and gave them to DH to post today on his lunch break. He started at 7am so is long gone with him. What do I do? Do I need to see if I can stop DH from posting it? Or will it go through ok? I hope it is all still ok as I needed that money

thebluefoxategreensocks · 14/03/2009 09:08

soon: The same thing happened to me before! All was OK for me and the transaction was fine, as it had already went through and was complete. The only thing was, the lady was a bit confused when she got an email saying the listing was removed and she was disappointed etc thinking she wouldn't get them. However, I managed to explain it to her & she was OK - just annoyed that she couldn't leave me positive feedback, since she was very happy with the purchase! So I'm guessing it was used wraps you'd sold? I had thought it was only used nappies that were banned, but thought surely wraps would be OK! So I'd listed a bundle of 5 Proraps - they sold with buy it now, but somehow because it had ended early with BIN, ebay could still remove it as if it was still a valid listing. Very confusing really - as the listing was non-existant on my ebay page! Anyway, hopefully all is well for you and the lady will understand etc. xx
