There is a pink martini bbos delux (pul not minky) without insert for £8 on the yahoo nappy group soon

AnnVan · 12/03/2009 09:51

4 what is your paypal? I need to pay for the pop-in. £5?

soon2befamilyof4 · 12/03/2009 09:55

4 - I don't think babykind have them in the bargain section anymore? I did get one from there a while ago (I just ordered lots of different bargain inserts to try out)

I paid £5 posted for my BBOS last night . No insert but that is no problem as I do have at least one. Wish I had ordered more now while they were on sale (if they had more anyway).

What is the yahoo group? Somebody mentioned a cloth tots board too? I googled it but didn't find anything? The only place I knew about to buy and sell are CLT, here and UKPL and of course ebay for brand new.

Oh yes, and I tried the minki again overnight, this time with 2 PD bamboo inserts in - which totals 16 layers of bamboo. STILL absolutly soaked this morning. Nappy, clothes, bedding, all drenched in wee. So we are back to disposables till the WNNN comes in and when I have treated the wool wraps.

So now, just incase anybody is interested, I am on the look out for some BBOS, BG, GK, UDNN, a girly nature babies wrap for newborn, and some bamboo or hemp inserts. Thought I would keep you updated incase anybody on here has any they want to sell.

Good feedback about thirsties! ME are making my dd2 red [the elastic or the binding?] Maybe I'll try one.....
It might just be here age and here shape will change and skin toughen up a bit.
Any excuse for a new nappy or wrap though!

TheNatty · 12/03/2009 11:39

tree my daughter couldnt use MEOS same problem with redness.

i have converted to pockets, not as impressed as to the reliablitly of them, my MEOS and wraps were leak proof. but they have only had 3 washes so we will see. disappointed the outsides leak so easy as even when my ME were sopping wet i never (or rarely) had leaks.

soon2befamilyof4 · 12/03/2009 12:26

TheNatty - I find 2 parters more reliable too. We use 2 parters one day, then pockets the next, mainly to see what works for us best. We get a lot more washing with the pockes and more leaks. BUT I love the fact that DDs skin is kept dry by the fleece lining in the pockets - I think she is a lot more comfy and we just change her a bit more often. We did use fleece liners but they usually bunched up a bit and would never be the actual shape and size of the nappy so didn't really help that much. With MEOS she is wet in the entire area her nappy covers - so almost up to her waist which can't be nice. Have just got some stay dry boosters though and will give them a go at next use. It is pocket day today!

are BBOS fleece lined? What about WNNN?

TheNatty · 12/03/2009 13:03

happy heinys, fuzzibunz, wonderoo, and bumgenious is what we have and they are all fleece lined. the TB onesize pocket im not overly impressed with as took 6 hours longer to dry then the others its terry lined.

soon2befamilyof4 · 12/03/2009 13:14

Whats TB? sorry having a mind blank!

TheNatty · 12/03/2009 14:17

drlove8 · 12/03/2009 15:35

4andnotout · 12/03/2009 17:02

annvan it's [email protected], £5 plus post which will be about £1.20 so i'll say £6 if you sort out the fees

Soon yes the bbos are fleece lined, thats one of the reasons i love them so

TheNatty · 12/03/2009 17:18

would love to try a bbos.. can everyone keep an eye out for me i need unisex colours.

treedelivery · 12/03/2009 18:17

ok-we need an abbreviation list of our own. My braincan't handle it! Who's game?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 12/03/2009 19:59

soon2befamilyof4: Cloth Tots is here: www.createforum.com/clothtots (can't get the page to load at the moment, but that's the website for when it's back up)

I think it's in some way connected with Baby Centre. Nappies seem to go very quickly there!

TheNatty · 12/03/2009 20:02

well we could always use the full names
i have to keep scrolling down to find a explanation!
full names or easy shortenings then yes?

swampster · 12/03/2009 20:07

I can't type Blueberry One-Size / Greenkids Gelato Minkytimes / Itti Bitti D'Lish every time!

rusmum · 12/03/2009 20:10

hi girls which of these should i try then??? dd has nappy rash and wsnting something fleece lined now- if i sold all mine may get £100 ish-

also how many ittis would i need for full time use?

treedelivery · 12/03/2009 20:10

Go on swampster - do a list. I'm too daft!! It might be official mumsnet speak and then you would be practically immortal!

Mind you, a list would also act as a checklist - we'd all have to buy one of the type we didn't have!! I'll learn when my baby sleeps morrrreeeee....zzzz...dribble...

swampster · 12/03/2009 20:18

Rus, MrsJamin said on another thread that seven Ittis and six extra inserts did for her washing every two days - I was astounded and very impressed. But I'm guessing she doesn't have a newborn .

I think deciphering the acronyms is half the fun - so no list from me...

treedelivery · 12/03/2009 20:21

7!! Impressive indeed!!

TheNatty · 12/03/2009 20:30

aww dont send me there!
ok a list good idea.. we could put them into categorys of type too

i have a toddler and am using my new pockets got through 5 today, but the inserts are not at optimum yet as only been washed twice. when she was in MEOS i would change the inner 4 or 5 and the outer twice.
i had 10 but never used them all in 24 hours, and i wash with my towels and bedding, and white washing everyday.

so i reckon with extra inserts 7 could be achievable as you could in theory change just the insert in a wet nappy?

im planning on using 20 with two babies, do you think that would be enough.

(mind you ellen randomly used her bro potty three times today between changes when i was stuffing the next nappy!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 12/03/2009 20:32

Just wondering, what are XS Sandies like? Are they only for really tiny babies? I might end up with a big baby afterall, but keep thinking I don't have enough fitted nappies for the first days! lol I do have lots of Disana tie on nappies, but don't really love the look of them! I have a few really small looking fitteds (as in, smaller than size 1 nippa Tots) but keep thinking I'd like a few more....but prob being silly. I really don't need to add to my 150+ stash of cloth nappies, do I? I'm sure baby will grow into other nappies quickly enough!

swampster · 12/03/2009 20:34

How about a BTP that you could use on both?

swampster · 12/03/2009 20:37

I like XS Sandy's on my tiny guy but I prefer my BGs or other AIOs.

(Six preloved XS Sandy's available here).
